“Sara is a total pro. A testament to Rover. We could tell she loves animals and takes this seriously. Great communication, flexibility, and follow-through. Our puppy was searching the house for her last night!”

About: I love dogs and I know that most dogs are happiest with their families. I do everything I can to help guest pups integrate into our little dog pack and feel at home while their families are away. I’ve been dogsitting for quite some time now and have experienced all shapes and sizes. I love them all and enjoy getting to know their inner personalities and puzzling out what makes them content. We strive to have so much fun that the dogs are too tired to feel too sad. About our family/home: my wife and I both work from home and have flexibility to care for pups during the day. We have a fenced yard with a dog door and are close to the river, the foothills, a friendly dog park, and a quiet neighborhood for walking. River, 8, is a retriever mix who loves hikes in the foothills and the occasional game of chase or wrestle, but is pretty mellow at home. Theo, 1, is a golden retriever who loves all dogs and people. Both dogs have lot of experience playing with other dogs and hosting dogs in their home. We typically only take dogs from one household at a time unless we have indication that the dogs will get along well. We’ve also found that we all do best if a guest dog has a warmup period. Therefore, any dogs looking for a stay longer than 48 hours will be asked to do a trial run beforehand (a day of daycare or a night of boarding). This helps us ensure a peaceful and safe environment for all dogs and has the added benefit of helping a dog feel more comfortable when they return to a familiar place for their longer stay. Because we recently added a new puppy to our home, we are more selective than normal in which dogs we can board. Dogs with a history of aggression, excessive barking, or other behavior problems are not a good fit at this time. We do offer house-sitting on a limited basis. If you have a uniquely challenging dog or specific circumstances, reach out and we will see if we can make something work! We look forward to getting to know you and your dog. My partner and I both work from home, so we have a lot of flexibility. Dog needs come first in our home and we are happy to take work breaks to play or exercise. We have a fully fenced backyard with a dog-door. We live two blocks from a park that is great for fetch. Our neighborhood is great for walks.

“I'm so happy to have had Tiara watch my cat while I was out of town. She was thorough, easy to talk to, and great with my cat. I was left with nothing to worry about while on vacation. :)”

About: Healthcare worker looking for some pet love! I started dog-sitting on Rover in 2015! Took a few years off and moved states, but back in action because I don't have a dog right now, and want one, but don't have a schedule that allows me to give consistent attention. I have 3-day weekends, so Sun-Mon-Tues I can spend pretty much all day with your best friend, but Weds, Thurs, & Sat I'm pretty booked up. I will have lots of time over the holidays this year (24-25) so I'd love to have a dog at home, or house-sit at yours! Can also drop in on cats in the North End. I currently have 1 cat, so your dog needs to be cat-savvy to come over to stay, or I can watch in your home; cat care in your home only. Why I love dog sitting I've loved dogs my whole life! My first dog was an Australian Shepherd and since then I've had a rottweiler/lab, a boxer/aussie, a greyhound/chesapeake, pit/lab and have tons more in the family, great danes, dachshund, german shepherd, border collie, visla, etc! I’ve also fostered for rescues, dogs and beyond. My experience administering medication I work in healthcare, so I'm very comfortable with medications, therapy, injuries, and staying calm in an emergency. I'm not a vet, so can't give advice, but I'm highly competent in care! I have a flexible schedule with 6-hour workdays - plenty of time to spend with your best friend! I go in late, get home early, and love to walk around the North End or foothills. Pets hang out with me most of the time in my home. I work from home 2 days a week, and have 3-day weekends, so only 2 days in the office (ask for schedule if needed). Pets are allowed on the couch, and I have a fully fenced yard for potty breaks.

“Brooke did a great job and went the extra mile to ensure my pet and plants were well cared for. I look forward to booking with her again in the future.”

“Nicole was great! We so appreciated her ability to come watch Cheech while we were out of town for two weeks. She was quick to respond with any needs/questions I had, left the house spotless, and sent lots of pictures and updates via the Rover app. We will definitely be using her again for our future pet care needs!”

“We hit the jackpot with Phedre! My dogs are happy and so am I. This is my first time using Rover and she gave me so many safe tips. I already knew I trusted Phedre when I first met her, but all of her knowledge and getting to know her a little really confirmed all my good vibes I was getting. Thank you Phedre!!!”

“Ryan was consistent and easy to work with. Sassy was well cared for!”

“Alinda followed all instructions and took very good care of our kitty! Alinda was detail-oriented and a great communicator. We absolutely recommend booking with her”

“Elyse did great in watching our cats. I appreciated her attention to detail and intros to ensure our gremlins’ safety. She was prompt and on time. Thanks, Elyse!”

“I’ve had Makayla care for my Great Dane for weekend stays and drop ins and she takes great care of my girl! Highly recommend!”

About: I’ve been surrounded by dogs since I was 4 years old, and caring for animals has always been a big part of my life. At home, I have a senior pup, a middle-aged dog, and a puppy I helped raise and care for daily before moving out. I currently have a betta fish in my new place named Miso! Over the last 3 years, I’ve done pet sitting for friends, family, and their friends too, caring for both dogs and cats of all sizes, ages, and personalities! I also have plenty of experience walking dogs of all sizes, from tiny lap dogs to big, energetic ones. I’m confident handling different temperaments and enjoy giving extra love and attention to both senior pets and playful puppies. I treat every animal like my own and make sure your home is cared for with the same respect! Anyone who knows me knows how much I adore animals, and I'm genuinely so excited to meet and care for yours! As for my schedule: I work part-time Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday from 10 AM to 2 PM, and I’m available from 3 PM through the evening those days. On Mondays and Wednesdays, I have class from 12–4 PM but am free after that unless noted otherwise. Sundays I’m available all day, and I’ll be done with school at the beginning of May, opening up even more flexibility! I work part-time and have class on Mondays and Wednesdays until 4 PM, so I have flexibility in the mornings, evenings, and most weekends. I'm great at managing my time and making sure your pets get the care and attention they need when you’re away. I only offer care in the client’s home, where pets feel most comfortable. I treat both your pets and your home with great care and respect. House sitting is just as important to me! I keep things tidy, follow any instructions you leave, and make sure everything feels just like you left it. Your pets get love, attention, and consistency while you're away.

“Stephanie is amazing! Her storytelling of her visits get me every time and it makes me feel like I’m there with them and I know she’s enjoying her time with my furry love bug 🐈⬛ HIGHLY recommend!!!!”

“I was so lucky to find Stephani! I needed a second sitter for daytime drop-in visits because my regular house/pet sitter is not available during the day and I was going on a two-day trip. Stephani responded promptly to my request for a meet-and-greet, arrived exactly on time, and it was immediately apparent that she is a professional. AND then, after I was already out of town, my regular sitter - who stays at my house and takes care of my pets in the evening and morning - had an emergency, and Stephani didn't even hesitate to take over the dinner and breakfast feedings as well as stop by late at night to let my senior dog out and tuck him in. Additionally, she always let me know what time she would be there, sent photos and a quick report of the visit, and when she would be back. She truly is outstanding and I highly recommend her! Thank you Stephanie ?”

“Adrianna was wonderful taking care of our 3 month old puppy, Coco. She would drop in for a visit at our home and Coco felt loved and cared for. She always posted pictures and sent us the most wonderful updates. She is awesome!”

“Caitlynn was fantastic with our cats. She was consistent and on time, after meeting her for the first time we had no concerns with her. She was very patient and kind to our kitties even though one of them has quite the attitude. Her daily updates were very appreciated, especially the pictures.”

“Shannon was so great with our dogs! They loved her from the meet and greet. 😍 She was so attentive and communication was great. Will definitely recommend her to our friends needing someone to watch their fur buddies.”

“A great experience to have Mandy check in on my Otis. Thanks, Mandy!”

“Deb is outstanding! She cares for my pup as if they were her own and is Ultra communicative. Lots of pics and detailed reports of the day! Highly recommended...but only for times when I don't need her! Lol”

“Easily the best dog sitter I’ve ever had! She’s so attentive to Nejis habits and needs. She cares for my dog like he’s her own, and I would recommend her to anyone! :)”

“Where to begin? It's almost unbelievable Ash does not have a dog of her own at this very moment...although circumstance is sure to have something to do with it at the moment, renting and putting herself through college. She has always had a deep compassion for dogs that I feel has grown over the past 10 years or so. I've seen her interact with several dogs, recently working on a little country farm setting in Bainbridge Island, WA. Regardless if the three were wet and stinky, (rains a lot there) lazy or overly rambunctious, she just seems to have a place in her heart for each one. She is very organized and active and is one of the most productive souls I know. She won't scrimp when it comes to your beloved pet and at the same time give it an overabundance of love and attention”
