About: Hi there! My name has since changed to *Romeo* as I am queer :) Ive had experience with all sorts of animals since I was a young! My heart however has always lied with dogs. Ive lived with, trained, and taken care of dogs from age 15. Professionally, I am currently a counselor at Camp Bow Wow! I’ve been working there for over a year now, learning and applying a wide range of skills. In this role I’ve learned some key skills on how to ensure companions are safe and happy: 1. Body language: I observe everything from your dog’s head to tail to minimize reactivity due to human- animal misunderstandings 2. Health indicators: although I’m not a vet, I was trained to recognize irregular symptoms a dog may be displaying such as stool texture and consistency, body temperature, excessive panting and drooling, gum color, etc. Anything your dog may be struggling with from itchy skin to something greater, I’ll notify you right away! 3. Communication: parents love hearing about their babies and seeing them happy and comfortable! By regular communication, this allows me to get clear instructions to follow, assess any changes needed in care or routine, and stay up to date in case of any rapid changes or emergencies. In addition, what sets me apart is my artistic attention to detail, which allows me to adapt to your dogs needs in a creative way. I like to challenge myself by finding ways to stimulate and enrich your dog while you are away! I’m very relaxed, quiet, and easygoing, but also spontaneous and go-with-the-flow should your dog get the zoomies! I’ll get mine out with him :) Lastly, I respect peoples spaces/ privacy and always clean up behind myself after using something in your space. I'd love to give your dog my unconditional love and undivided attention. Your baby is not just a pet, they are our best friends who depend on us. About: I've been a foster and pet sitter for mostly greyhounds for the past 20 years, and have always had dogs of my own. I've gone through obedience classes and grooming, and am pretty good with most temperaments. I am very available and flexible, since I'm retired. I can come by during the day, including weekends and holidays, whatever works for you and your pet. Please note that I accept in-home stays that are a minimum of two nights. I can come to your home and stay, or visit to let your dog out, walk, or feed. Safety is a big factor and I'll do my best!

About: I had dogs all my life, I love them!! I currently have a 11 years old weimaraner, which is in Spain with my parents, and a 5 years old Russian Toy, Harry. Harry is living with my bf and I in Rochester. He is 4.5lb and a super easy-going boy! So, I am used to all dog sizes, and I do pretty well with the high energy ones!! I'm a PhD student so I can scape from the lab anytime. I normally walk my dogs very early in the morning, at noon and at night. During the weekends I give them long walks. At my place my dogs have been always inside home and at their own. When they go out is always under my supervision. Since my dogs are well behaved and not destructive I've never used crates. If I take care of a dog that is not mine, I will listen the requirements from their humans to have a good care of their needs.

About: I have taken care of dogs since I was 10 years old. I was responsible for walking the family dog when I was younger, volunteered at a shelter walking dogs every Saturday morning for 5 years, and have owned a dog myself for the last 20 years. My current dog, Bruce, and I are a registered therapy dog team, which required a lot of training and building of trust between us. He's a border collie (though he's slowed down in his old age) that needs his daily walks and play time. I understand how stressful it can be to leave your pets with someone. You need to be able to trust them and I promise to take care of your dog with as much love and care as I take care of my own. I have 4 cats, so you pup MUST be good with cats. I work from home everyday so I am able to take care of potty breaks as needed and provide attention and playtime throughout the day. Building trust with an animal is etremely important. I am careful to keep an eye on body language so that I know when an animal wants more or less attention, needs to go for a walk, or needs to play. My own dog has been trained to walk on a loose leash by my side and does not pull. I've had plenty of experience walking shelter dogs who had no training though, so I can handle quite a bit. I regularly interact with my cats depending upon what type of interaction they want. I have two cats who love to play with toys on strings, and two other cats who prefer to be showered with pets. I am a believer that if you pay attention the animal will let you know what it's boundaries are.

About: I’ve taken care of variety of animals aside from cats/dogs including…birds, small mammals (mice, hamsters, rabbits), reptiles (lizards, turtles), fish, and more since I was about 10. I’ve handled them, feed them, and provided all necessary hygienic care. I have experience administering oral medication to animals. I also have experience providing injections to a diabetic cat. I'm currently working part-time, so I'll have plenty of time to play with your pets! I'm available on weekends anytime, and weekdays after 5pm. So please contact me if it’s a good fit! I would prefer to care for your pet in the comfort and familiarity of your home or my apt either. I love to hang out and play, give lots of love and attention, go for nice long walks, and even go on adventures to the dog park to socialize if they’re down for it! I don’t mind providing baths or basic grooming, cleaning messes or litter boxes, or anything else your pet/home or my apt may need.
