About: I have a lifetime of experience with pet care, which began with helping my mom run her in-home dog boarding business when I was growing up. The skills and experience that I've gained in that time enable me to provide the best possible care for your pet. I live with my girlfriend who is a veterinary technician with over 15 years of experience. Ours is a loving home, with a large, securely fenced yard. Our top priority is to keep your dog safe, feeling comfortable, and relaxed, just as they would be in their own home. I offer boarding, walks, in home visits, and more. I am comfortable giving meds, preparing special diets, and caring for puppies as well as seniors. I used to train and show dogs when I was younger, and can help get your puppy off on the right foot with house training. Dog sitting is my only job, and my flexible schedule revolves around that. I can be available at any reasonable time for pick-up and drop off appointments. I'm home almost all of the time to be with the dogs, only leaving to run brief errands when necessary. All dogs are cared for in my home. I have a large, securely fenced in back yard. During the day, dogs are free to be outside to play in the backyard as much as they wish. All dogs sleep in large crates or X-pens in our comfortable dog room at night, or when we are not home. We have a young cavalier who would be happy to have new friends to play with. For safety, I separate dogs for feeding and if we're out of the house, although it's rare that no one is home. Guests need to like other dogs and people.

About: I started walking my next door neighbor’s Boston Terrier when I was around 10. She knew I was an animal lover, and even let me experiment with some training with her pup. This led to me getting into agility training and just general dog training, which I have started to pick back up again. I am known as the family dog sitter, as my family has a combination of Pit Bulls, Bernedoodles, and hunting breeds, so I’ve worked with dogs of all shapes and sizes and stubbornness! Aside from dogs, I grew up volunteering at shelters where I adopted my own cat when I was 15, and eventually even landed a job as a zookeeper! As far as my own pets go, I currently keep it to my cat, fish and my wonderful Bearded Dragon, Albus. From my own pets, work experience, and love of training, I really have worked with everything from lizards to rodents to dogs to elephants! One consistency throughout my experience is my love for animals, and my passion to improve the quality of their life! Specific skills: - Puppy/Adult dog training - Hoofstock care and training (goats, horses, exotics) - Reptile care I currently work from home, so I have the availability to work from wherever I need to. This also gives me the option to walk/train during my breaks. I have weekend availability as needed as well. I am able to stay over at a pet owner’s home if needed, however I prefer to host pets in my own home whenever possible. I currently have a 1 year old mixed breed who absolutely LOVES having the company! As always, your pet’s safety is my number one concern. I am trained in identifying and understanding animal behavior and will not put your animal in a position where they do not feel safe. I am also a huge advocate for leash laws and ADA regulations protecting service dogs, so these will always be respected and enforced in my care. I am a huge advocate for animal enrichment, working as a zookeeper in the past taught me how important mental stimulation is for an animal, and how when paired with proper exercise can mitigate behavioral issues in pets. About: Hi, my name is Lindsay and I’m an animal lover through and through. I grew up in a cat‑loving family with the most adorable tabby and Persian cats. One of our Persians, Sweetie, was especially close to me. She passed away a few years ago, and losing her truly broke my heart—she was with me for so long and gave me so many wonderful memories. I also spend a lot of time with my family’s dogs—a brown Labrador, a German Shorthaired Pointer, and a pair of Boston Terriers—and I always make sure to play with them whenever we’re together. Back in high school, my mom, sister, and I volunteered at our local humane society. We cleaned kennels and litter boxes, played with the animals, and gave them the affection and company they needed. I’ve also cared for many of my family’s and friends’ cats and dogs over the years, and there has never been a dull moment. Pets bring so much joy. A little about me: I love hiking, doodling, drinking coffee, playing mobile games, reading, and traveling. I enjoy spending time with my family, good friends, and—of course—fur babies. I had a dog that I had to put down a year and a half ago and started dog sitting so I can still be around dogs without recommitting to another one before I’m ready. About: I grew up on farms in the south, so I've been around animals my whole life. I moved to Rochester specifically because of how dog friendly it is.
