“This was a seamless service. Felt like my fur baby was with family. She communicated daily, sent pics and videos, without ask. My baby was so happy and well cared for. I am a forever client. This service was exceptional.”

“Nachay is a very kind caretaker. She is a good communicator. She accommodated the extended hours I asked for. She sent pictures throughout. I recommend and will consider using her again.”

“Ed was great! We never left Snickers with anyone for more than one night so needless to say we were a little nervous. When we first met Ed, we could tell that he took his job seriously and is a true animal lover. We left Snickers with Ed for four nights and there were no complaints. Ed was great with sending photos and videos and kept us updated each day. Snickers was well taken care of and we would definitely leave him with Ed again. Thank you so much for taking such great care of our little fella.”

“Kierra is AMAZING! Incredibly friendly, warm and caring. She genuinely loves caring for pups and puts so much energy and thought into it. Don’t think twice about booking with her!”

“Veronica took exceptional care of my two dogs Molly and Oliver. She was very attentive to all their needs and provided a safe, fun environment for their entire stay. I will definitely be using Veronica again.”

“My dogs have stayed with Jenny a few times and they are always in good hands. This most recent stay we were late picking them up and she was very gracious and understanding about it.”

About: 💠 Hello! I offer pet care for when you’re not able to be there. I am available for drop-in visits, pet sitting, pet daycare, and also pet walking (even for cats!). 🚙 I currently provide pet care services for most of the Nassau County area and some parts of Nassau-Queens border. I am also able to travel to Manhattan with added transportation coverage. I am local: Repeat services booked with me receive special accommodations & rates. 🌃 Messages that are sent after hours on Rover may be responded to on the following day. 🔹 I’m experienced with small breeds, or toy breeds, specifically Pomeranians, been around them all my life, including newborns and senior dogs who were raised starting as puppies. 🔹 Experienced with docile cat breeds, in particular Persian, Himalayan, Ragdoll, Maine Coon and other related cat breeds. 🔹 Have experience with Goldfish, Bettas and birds such as Budgies, so knowledgeable about care. 🐾 I’m intuitive and pay attention to picking up the different ways a dog or cat expresses nonverbal communication, they constantly give us cues. About Me: I own a color-point Persian cat who is 7 years old that I enjoy spoiling. I can speak Italian, enjoy gardening, art, sewing, yoga, tennis & pilates. I’m a fan of the original Twilight movie directed by Catherine Hardwicke. 🐾 I’m currently providing pet care for a King Charles Cavalier who has mobility issues and dietary restrictions, but he is such a big mush! I am also caring for a special needs 4 month old kitten who needs to be syringe-fed, given both topical & oral medication on schedule, along with helping her with using a litter box. In addition to assisting with care of a (palm-sized) rescue kitten who is less than one month old needing to be bottle fed every few hours, given antibiotic medication for her eyes and frequent cleaning with wet wipes, due to being too young to know how to use a litter box. I have found it to be extremely rewarding and willing to look after a few more furbabies within my local area. 🔹 I’m trustworthy and reliable, I would always practice good manners. Respectful of privacy when I’m in a client’s home. I make sure that when I’m with your pet, safety is an upmost priority.
“We would give Krissy a 10 if the stars went that high! We have 2 big dogs, that are just big babies. We had never left them anywhere before. Krissy went above board to make sure they ate. They played with her kids, and other dogs. They truly had a vacation! Thank you Krissy!!”

“Kate was outstanding from start to finish. She made us feel comfortable with leaving our dog with her and went above and beyond to take care of him. She had her own space separate from other animals she has and stayed there with our dog the entire time. Kate sent us daily updates and made sure he was safe and well taken care of. We were so relieved to find a genuinely nice, caring person that we would book again. Thanks, Kate!”

“Nilka is everything you hope for when you go on Rover looking for pet care. She treats my dog like her own. Her husband and two kids are also great. They all spoil my dog with love and attention. “I had a great experience with Tina! She took the time to meet Summer on short notice before taking care of her. She sent pictures and updates twice a day and I could tell Summer had a great time. She also has a fenced backyard where Summer enjoyed playing fetch and getting her zoomies out. I would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a dog sitter.”

“Thank you Cindy for taking care of Teddy. Cindy was kind, and affectionate to my Teddy. She bought chicken for Teddy. Teddy never eats when I leave him for boarding, but with Cindy, my dog eat food multiple time which is amazing. I would strongly recommend Cindy to anyone. Would I leave my Teddy with Cindy again ? Absolutely. Once again Cindy, thanks for your help, much appreciated.”

“Come and stay with Gloria and Jose, where your fur baby will run and play! Gloria is in constant contact with pictures and messages. Your dog will roam free in their back yard. She even placed our baby on a more reliable feeding schedule as she is such a finicky eater. We were stuck in GA at the international airport and Gloria accommodated our dog for another night. They are THE BEST!!! We are repeat clients and we will be back. ❤️❤️❤️”

“Just a note of thanks to Carla and her family for taking such good care of our Clover. We really miss her when we go away and Carla sent daily pictures and notes to keep us informed. They were great! Lincoln met with them a few days before the stay and was immediately comfortable. There house was very clean and the enclosed backyard was very spacious leaving a lot of room for the dogs to play and secure enough to prevent them from getting out. They sent video and pictures everyday. I would definitely leave my dog with them again in the future.

Pam is wonderful and I’m so glad that I found her to take care of my dog. I never left him overnight and I was so nervous. But as soon as I met her, I was relieved and felt comfortable right away. The weekend was a success and I will definitely be booking with her again.

This was the first time someone other than family watched our chocolate lab and Krissy did not disappoint!! She showed him love and care. He had a blast at her house for the week. She kept us updated throughout his stay by sending pictures and answered all questions in a timely manner. Would highly recommend and will be using again!!

Kayla and her family were wonderful! We were so nervous to leave our puppy with anyone but she kept us updated with photos and videos all weekend and helped put our mind at ease. We were so happy our puppy had kids to play with and keep her entertained. Our puppy had the best weekend ever.

Rachel Rachel was absolutely wonderful with Nilo. This was our first time using her services after our regular sitter had an unexpected emergency, and she was kind enough to meet with us right away. Nilo can be a little challenging at times, so I made sure to explain his personality, behaviors, and needs. Rachel was incredibly patient, understanding, and caring from the very beginning. She took the time to make Nilo feel comfortable, took him on several walks, and it was clear that he felt safe and relaxed in her home. It means so much to find someone who genuinely cares for your pet, and Rachel did exactly that. We felt at ease knowing Nilo was in such good hands. We are so grateful for her help and would not hesitate to book with her again. Thank you, Rachel, for taking such great care of our Nilo! ❤️ We highly recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy and compassionate pet sitter.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in NY ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
