“Michael was an amazing sitter for my dog and communicator for me!! We had a last minute schedule change and were traveling to Seattle unexpectedly. Michael was so helpful and accommodating to make this work with less notice than usual! He was prompt and communicative sending me pictures of Sox updates along the way. His dog Ellie was very chill and seemed to get along with Sox great. I definitely would (and will!) work with Michael again!”

“Gabby was a great sitter for Birdie. She was very kind with regards to Birdie's puppy antics and made sure that Birdie was well exercised and loved. I would definitely book Gabby again in the future. Thank you!”

“Our dog had a great stay with Anna while we were away for the weekend. Anna was super communicative and Luka came home tired and happy. We would definitely have Luka stay with Anna again!”

“I highly recommend Laure & Matthew! Their house is on a quiet street with a big backyard and I received pictures and updates daily. My dog, Gracie, is a rescue with a few issues - she has 3 legs, is food obsessive, has a high prey drive for squirrels, and doesn’t like to walk on wood floors (lol). They worked with all of her quirks and I knew she was well taken care of. In the future, I will rebook with Laure/Matthew to watch Gracie anytime I’m out of town - I’ve already rebooked for next weekend!”

“Emily always takes such good care of Sage. I get lots of pupdates and takes her on lots of walkies. Sage really enjoys her time there and makes me feel good knowing she’s treated like family at Emily’s!”

“Elle was sweet with our dog and our dog enjoyed playing with the other dogs she was watching. Our dog wasn’t too anxious when I left him with Elle and he was very happy when he got home - I think he had a great time with her and the other dogs! Elle sent us a photo and it was clear that our dog wasn’t too comfortable there!”
“We boarded our dog with Yan over the Labor Day weekend and she was amazing! Our dog loved her immediately, she was so easy to communicate with, very responsive, flexible, and her home was very nice. She sent us so many pictures and updates about our dog while we were gone and our dog looked like she was so happy in all the photos (playing, on many walks, etc). We will definitely be booking with Yan again.”

“Callie is amazing! She was able to provide care for Ollie last minute when another sitter canceled mid stay. She was extremely kind, excellent communicator, and provided regular updates on Ollie. Ollie came home happy and tired from his time with her. I will definitely be booking her in the future.”

“My moose had the best time with Kathryn and Mark! I’ve never boarded her at someone else’s house before and I wasn’t sure how she’d do, but she made herself right at home and had so much fun with the kids. The photos I got were absolutely perfect! Will definitely book again next time I travel. Thank you all!”

“Chelsie was amazing when she watched our dog Enzo! She sent pictures and updates throughout the weekend, was super communicative and friendly, and worked with our travel schedules for pick up and drop off. Enzo had a great time and looked like it was a fun weekend for him!”

“Our third time booking with Karen. As always, Karen is so kind, communicative and caring! Our Lucy loves staying with Karen and Matt! Thanks for taking great care of our girl!”

“Sarah and her entire family were fantastic! Quick response time and lots of updates with pictures while I was gone, which I greatly appreciate!”

About: I can offer you the best in care for your pet, I am home most of the time when your pet is with me. I am a single mom with two kids, a grown daughter in college and son that is a senior in high school. They both love animals as much as I do. I grew up riding and showing horses through 4-H and the A circuit as a young adult with pure bred Arabians. We always had lots and lots of animals. I have since traded in my love for horses to wrangle domesticated animals and children in the city. I have always obedience trained my pets and will support you if you would like any assistance, I will assist with general manners. I currently have an aging (11 year old) rescue dog, Otto. We have rescued 2 cats (12 years old) but just lost 1 and my daughter has the other with her at school. The only times pets are really alone for more than a quick errand is when I work at night My shifts are no longer than 5-6 hours per shift and I work 2 minutes away. I am always close to home! I work in the evenings for short shifts so I have a lot of time during the day to tend to the pets, during the time they want to be active. I have a fenced back yard, lovely neighbors, I evened the yard and reseeded this summer so it is a nice yard to enjoy. I can crate animals if that is preferred, at times. My basement is easily an area for them to have some space.
“I truly can’t sing Omid’s praises enough. He provided Delphine with so much love, support, and attention. I asked if he could send photos of her every day and he sent multiple a day along with updates about her. Such a relief to know that she was with someone that treated her with such care.”

About: Dating back to 2005, Duncan and family have been caretakers of all sorts of pooches and cats, a few of them their own including five cats and a large and goofy black lab mix who lived to the ripe old age of 15. In addition to the experience of being parents of humans and animals, as well as caretakers of all the lovely temporary dog-guests, Duncan and wife Betsy have a combined 10 years' experience as volunteer dog walkers at PAWS - and proud sitters of countless neighborhood dogs, known to our family as "bonus dogs". We work as a team in the family, with my wife usually working from home most days, and I take up early morning and afternoon responsibilities. The longest we would have a dog home alone would be 5 hours. The rest of the time we try to incorporate our pet into our activities as much as possible. We treat pets like family, and ensure they are always in good hands. We usually have something dog-centric or adjacent happening and will include the pooch into our world as much as we can.
“Matt is awesome! We did a meet up beforehand and I immediately knew Oakley would do great with Matt and Larry! Matt sent daily updates with pictures and videos! Matt included Oakley in his daily routine with Larry, and it all worked out so great. You can tell Matt genuinely loves dogs and sees them as family members, and treats yours as his own while in his care. We recently moved to Seattle, and I’m so happy we found Matt and Larry! We will definitely be using him again!”

“Laura took great care of my dog. I got frequent updates with videos. I really appreciate how much attention he got and how welcome she, and her dog, made him feel while I was away. Will definitely book again.”

“Kristin took great care of our dog! We got daily updates with lots of pictures and our pup looked so happy and well cared for. We’d definitely have Kristin watch her again in the future.”

“Maiko and her family were exceptionally loving to Daisy. She had such a wonderful stay full of adventures. She was extremely well cared for which was evident in the many photos sent to us. We appreciate all of the care shown to Daisy and highly recommend Maiko and her family!!”

About: I am an animal lover who has cared for dogs since I was a young child. I also have months of experience cat sitting for my friends and family. I am communicative, responsible, and find genuine joy in taking care of animals. You can rely on me to treat your babies as if they were my own. I work for an Indigenous arts nonprofit completely from home so my schedule is very flexible to look after your fur babies. Whether you'd like them to stay with me or need me to drop in, my schedule can adapt to you and your pets needs. At my home your pet will be provided with a safe and loving environment. I have a small Yorkie/Chihuahua mix named Slayer who is as sweet as can be (despite her name lol). She has lived with other small dogs before and loves to play after warming up to them. She has also spent a total of a few months over time living with a cat. She approaches cats with caution and curiosity and will play with them once they are both comfortable. Cats will be cats and have swatted at her and she remains calm and has never retaliated. If caring for your pet(s) at your home, I will treat your space with the utmost respect. I will take my shoes off, follow instructions with care, and leave your home in the same state I found it in.
North Beach dog parents share their Rover experiences
I took Bates ( my fur baby) for a meet and greet before the actual stay and it went very well so I felt vey comfortable with leaving him with Kait and Sam. Since this was his first away from home stay I knew he would be nervous. They gave me updates and photos while I was away , which of course was great. I would have Bates stay with them again and would highly recommend them.

I truly can’t sing Omid’s praises enough. He provided Delphine with so much love, support, and attention. I asked if he could send photos of her every day and he sent multiple a day along with updates about her. Such a relief to know that she was with someone that treated her with such care.

I am hesitating to write this review as I am scared that one day she will get too popular. But I am sure that day will come sooner or later. Managing pet sitting around the Thanksgiving can be a nightmare. Marissa picked up my dog from another Rover and provided awesome care for the 2nd half of my travel. I received great updates and Dosho enjoyed ample daily exercise despite the rainy weather we have this time of the year. She also enforced a lot of my training/routine while I was away, such as wiping down his paws after outings. Most importantly, she took the initiative to work on stairs training with him. I've already noticed he's waiting and walking behind me on the stairs! I was able to enjoy my vacation with complete peace of mind, and I returned home to an even better dog. Thank you!
