“Although my 6-year-old miniature dachshund, Piper, has stayed with friends/family before, this was my first time using a professional service like Rover and I couldn't have asked for a better experience. Maria was exceptionally responsive and flexible with timing. She sent plenty of photos/videos/updates during our short weekend trip that truly set our minds at ease. Piper has cerebellar hypoplasia (the wobbly disease) and has trouble with fine motor skills. Maria had no issue altering her care to suit Piper's limitations. She even took Piper out to a cafe in a stroller for enrichment since she physically can't walk far on her own! Considering my partner has experience petsitting for over two decades and I worry (perhaps too much) about the care my dog will receive while I'm away, we were both impressed with Maria and would gladly hire her again to take care of Piper.”

I was glad he was staying with a family who owned and know Frenchies as they have their specific needs and energy level. Amanda had shared about her previous Frenchie who passed a couple of months ago and said it was wonderful to have Winston spend some time with them now, especially with their children and dog. Winston had some of his classic GI challenges in a new environment and I received detailed information each day. He received lots of cuddles and love. I was not at all worried leaving him with Amanda. She also shared some tips on food choices and nutrition from her previous experience as a Frenchie owner. About: Ever since I was a child I have loved animals and they love me. I often find myself being followed by cats when I 'm on walks or being approached and greeted by dogs at parks. They give me a sense of calm and I enjoy giving them and their humans reassurance that they are well cared for. I currently have one large Cane Corso and one small Persian Himalayan...guess which one is the boss? I hope you will entrust me with your furry family to provide them with what they and you need. My daily schedule is rather flexible so I am able to adjust according to your needs. Whether it's a consistent schedule or as needed, I’m usually able to accommodate. About: Dogs have always been family to me. I grew up with a mom who never met a stray or rescue animal she wouldn’t try to help, so caring for pets was simply part of everyday life. I’ve cared for, played with, and halfway trained many dogs through every stage, from energetic puppies to senior companions. I’ve had perfect sweethearts and anxious grumps. I loved them all. As I transition out of traditional employment to build my freelance business, I’d love to spend some of my newfound time helping local pet owners by providing safe, reliable, and fun walks for their dogs. I’m almost always home and available, and I’d love to hang out with your four-legged family member! As a freelancer, I have a flexible schedule that allows me to dedicate time throughout the day for walks, playtime, feeding, and check-ins. I enjoy getting out from behind a computer to grab fresh air, so dog walks fit naturally into my routine, and I genuinely look forward to spending time with animals each week. My dog Weyland would attest, but he is taking a post-breakfast nap in the sun at this moment. I find that pets are happiest when they get to stick to their routine. As a fellow dog owner who just hired a babysitter for week, I know how many bullet points and peculiarities I was compelled to jot down. It felt a bit overly involved, but at the same time I knew it was an effective roadmap for my dog’s health and happiness, as well as the babysitter’s success and ease with him. Those are the ultimate goals, so I understand how important the details are. I follow any instructions carefully regarding feeding, walks, medications, and house rules while making sure pets receive plenty of attention and affection. That’s simply what they need. About: I have experience as a professional dog grooming and 15 years experience caring for pets including multi pet households. I live an active lifestyle and enjoy adventures with a furry friend. I love animals and animals love me. I have open availability to caring for pets in their home or in mine as well as dog walking. I am currently not working and have just finished a 5 week housesitting gig I do not have any pets in my home, and can accommodate up to 2 small pets. I am able to care for multiple pets including cats, dogs, reptiles, guinea pigs and aquatic pets in their homes.

About: Had dogs primarily since I was a child, spent most of my life raising large dogs and spending occasional time with Cats. Very active and love to walk/hang out with any and all fur babies. I am taking a break from my regular full time career (Bartending/Restaurant Management) to spend more time pursuing art and music, and would love to have an income source that is both fulfilling and schedule flexible. I believe in relationship building with any pet I spend time with: every dog or cat is different and has different needs/quirks that require a different approach; mine always starts with trying to establish trust and a playful/happy rapport with the pet so they know I can be trusted and respected when I’m in their space, and vice versa. My apartment in particular that I share with my girlfriend is rather small, so I will mostly be taking jobs that are in clients’ homes or are just check ins/walks. However on a case by case basis I could possibly accept boarding, we don’t currently have a pet and are entertaining the idea, so a bit of in home practice could be welcome.
About: I love and respect all animals. I’m know among friends as the dog whisperer . My focus is your pets well-being with a good belly scratch at the end of each encounter. No cats please. Cats are awesome as well but I’m allergic to their dander. I’m willing to make accommodations with multiple trips a day to meet your fur babies’ needs. I understand consistency is important to care for your pets, therefore I can always be dependable with meeting my commitment. I would provide love and attention to your pet(s) as if they’re my own. You can provide instructions to how best care for your pet(s) and feel confident that expectations are being followed.
