“Strongly recommend! Very easy and great to work with, I received daily updates and felt very comfortable leaving my dog. Will use again, and highly recommend.”

“My dog milo usually tries to dart out the door whenever I leave him at a sitter due to his separation anxiety. Not, Valerie! Somehow she must have cast a magic spell to calm milos anxiety. Whatever she does works! And milo absolutely loves her. Like others have said she goes above and beyond to which I absolutely concur 💯”

“She was absolutely amazing taking care of my doggy! Kept me up to date with everything and sent pictures every now and then. Definitely rebooking if needed and 100% recommend!”

“First time Rover user here! Courtney is awesome! My pup Rosey is a timid, shelter adopted dog. So she can be a little shy at times... but Courtney made her feel right at home! Just like a part of her family. Regular updates, photos and videos too! She is my future go-to rover sitter :) thanks Court! -Bryan”
“Mel did so great with my baby! He had so much fun and came home a sleepy boy:) I got plenty of photos and videos so no need to be anxious about how the pup is doing! 10/10 recommend”

“I needed a sitter last minute and my regular sitter was out of town. Janai was very accommodating at sitting up a meet and greet and took the time to introduce Mickey to all of her dogs one by one. Mickey is VERY skittish and scared of new people but meeting her dogs helped him relax some. I was nervous leaving him with a new sitter but Janai was very good at communicating and sending me pictures. She also added on bathing and nail trim to his services with my permission, so he was fresh and clean when I picked him up. Will definitely bring him back in the future!”

“My pup was well taken care of and happy. He came home tired (that's a good sign) and content. He didn't even seem that happy to see me. Haha! So I guess he was planning to live with his new friends.”
“melanie was amazing :) with this being our first time leaving our benji with a sitter she was so kind to answer all our questions she was patient and sent us updates along with pictures which was very comforting to know benji was in good hands . she’s the best !!”

“Cassie was great with my shy boy! She was kind and patient with him and you can tell he really took to her. I will definitely be booking with Cassie and Kora again!”

“Tamara is the best! She is fast to respond, sends updates with pictures, truly loves all dogs she comes in contact with, and is very knowledgeable. She took such great care of my pup and I will absolutely be booking her again!”

“I couldn’t have asked for a better sitter for my dog, Parker! Payton took amazing care of him while I was away and kept me updated with pictures and videos, which gave me so much peace of mind. Parker was clearly happy and well-loved the entire time. She’s reliable, attentive, and truly cares for the pets she watches. Payton will definitely be my go-to from now on!”

“Becca accepted a last minute booking for us and I felt super secure with our Obie staying with her the whole time. She sent lots of pics and made it stress free!”

“Sam and Cole have been absolutely amazing! Can’t forget about their sweet pup Remi as well. All the photos that they sent my dog had the biggest smile on his face 😊 i appreciate them treating my dog as if he was one of theirs. I will without a doubt rebook with them in the future!”

“Extremely knowledgeable in her medical care for pets. She takes creat care to ensure your pet stays healthy, and has an emergency plan in place. She even gave me recommendations on what I can do to keep my babies healthy. Would definitely recommend for pets needing more detailed attention.”

“Tamika did again! She is a superstar! My dog, Chase love her. She is super friendly and always pleasant. Thank you Tamika, you are the Best! If I could give you 10 stars, I would.”

“Mary was sooo great with babysitting Evee. She sent frequent pics and videos and Evee looked soo happy in every one of them. I would definitely book Mary again. She is soo kind and sweet. And she took AMAZING care of my little Evee. 💖💖”

About: I’ve grown up around pets and have cared for everything from Huskies and Labs to German Shepherds and a variety of cats. Having owned Huskies myself, including one with epilepsy and one with arthritis, and having watched a Lab with megaesophagus, I’m comfortable providing specialized care. I’m also experienced with energetic dogs and understand the importance of routine, exercise, and careful attention. Your pet will receive plenty of care, patience, and love while you’re away, along with fun, engaging activities to keep them happy and comfortable. I work a standard 9–5 during the week and am looking for pet care opportunities to fill my free time before and after work, as well as on weekends. I’ll be in the area for at least the next year, so I’m available consistently and looking to build reliable routines with pets and their owners. I miss my animals back home, and caring for other pets felt like the perfect way to spend my time doing something I genuinely enjoy. I’m happy to provide dependable care, attention, and plenty of love during my off-hours. Whether I’m caring for pets in my home or in a client’s home, I focus on keeping their routine as normal and comfortable as possible. “Brandi was awesome! She kept me updated and was a very good communicator. She was very flexible and even kept him for an extra day! Our pup was so happy to stay with her family, and got lots of love. I’m very thankful I found her!”

I booked Whitney last minute for my dog Lily. She was gracious enough to accept and I dropped her off Friday morning and picked her up Sunday afternoon and I could tell she had a great time but was glad to come home. I will definitely use her again if she's available.

Brittany was absolutely amazing with my baby, RUDI! From the moment I dropped him off, I knew he was in good hands. She kept me updated every day with pictures and was always very communicative, which gave me so much peace of mind while I was away. When we picked RUDI up, he was happy, well cared for, and smelled absolutely amazing! It’s clear that Brittany truly cares about the pets she watches and treats them like her own. Thank you again, Brittany, for taking such great care of my baby. I would definitely recommend you to anyone looking for a reliable, caring, and trustworthy pet sitter!

Wow wow. Tamara is awesome. She took very good care of my 4 pups, and sent me pics while I was cruising in the middle of nowhere. This is my first time and will book again. Highly recommended. Thanks Tamara, you have earned 5 stars from me, my husband and my daughter.

Ms. Alexis was absolutely amazing watching Biscuit! She was so accommodating and helpful as we had a sudden funeral to attend. Biscuit was extremely well taken care of and if you need someone who will truly love and take care of your pet, I 100% recommend using Ms. Alexis

Gena is a true treasure to me. I cannot say enough about how wonderful she has been to my little dog. He's a sweet dog, but he's a picky eater. She is very willing to make sure he is happy and gets what he needs. She is a true dog lover and pampers him way more than I would expect her to. Thank you for taking such great care of my baby!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in SC ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
