“Dorothy was absolutely amazing. This was my first time needing a sitter on Rover and I’m glad I chose her. My pup was super happy and we will definitely be using her in the future.”

“Meaghan was fantastic! She was very responsive and took our reservation last minute which was a life saver. Our doggos were so happy and well taken care of. We loved the pictures she sent when she stopped by! Thank you again!”

“Kiera did a fab job taking care of Papaya this past weekend! She kept us updated the whole time and we came home to a happy, talkative little Papaya! Highly recommend!”

“Rachel is the best! She took great care of my pets, they all had a great time playing & getting lots of attention. She was reliable & always kept me up to date! Thank you”

“Thank you Bradley for taking such great care of Ellie and Lola during our 17 day trip. You kept us updated and made sure they were happy and well cared for. We came home to relaxed, happy pups. We highly recommend your services!”

“Monica was such a blessing to me to take care of my Maddi during my long work hours. She provided lots of pictures and videos during her visits and always communicated clearly to me. Monica took good care of Maddi and gave her lots of love!🩷”

“Amanda took wonderful care of Milo this weekend, and I came home to a happy cat. She was reliable and kept me updated with photos, which gave me such peace of mind while I was away. It’s clear she genuinely cares about animals, and Milo took to her right away—which says a lot, since he can be shy with new people. I’m so grateful for her help and wouldn’t hesitate to book her again. Highly recommend!”

“Our old cat is grumpy and doesn’t like strangers. He runs under the bed whenever someone even comes knocking. But he loved Samantha and obviously was comfortable with her. We even have photo proof! Our weekend at Atlanta was stressful, but not because we were worried about our old boy. I will absolutely be asking for repeat visits if he’s schedule permits!”

“Madison was phenomenal. I cannot say enough good things about her. She was dependable, thoughtful, communicative, and clearly terrific with dogs. From the beginning, she gave me total confidence that my dog was being cared for by someone who is not only responsible, but who genuinely loves what she does. That combination is rare. Madison is the kind of sitter every dog owner hopes to find. She was attentive, easy to work with, and gave me real peace of mind while my dog was in her care. I would trust her again without hesitation and recommend her enthusiastically to anyone looking for top-tier care.”

“The absolute best! Chelsey is on time. Does a fantastic job communicating. But most importantly instills a sense of truth that your pet is being properly taken care of.”

“Carly is wonderful. I would and have recommended her to all my pet owner friends/family. The piece of mind she gave us made our family vacation the best ever and my cats were in their home vs. a loud, chaotic boarding facility. Thank for taking such good care of our babies. Sincerely, Carrie & Josh”

“Sally did a great job with our two pups. She took the time to meet us ahead of time and get to know our pups. She made us feel so comfortable and it was clear from the pictures that our babies were well cared for while we were gone!”

About: I love caring for my friends' pets when they're away for the weekend! I'm equally a dog and cat person and have experience looking after both. I'd love to give your pets the same care and attention while you're away! I have a really flexible schedule on the weekends, so I'm happy to work around your plans! I also enjoy getting some movement in the morning, so if your pup loves an early adventure, I'm more than happy to take them along. I can easily crate your animal if needed. I do not have a backyard area or balcony. Animals are free to roam around wherever they please.

About: I have lifetime experience caring for pets, from puppies and kittens to adult and senior animals. I’m very patient and calm, which helps nervous or shy pets warm up to me. I’ve basic trained all of my dogs, sit, stay, recall, and leash walking. I’m comfortable sticking to routines, giving lots of affection, and keeping owners updated with pictures and messages. Your pet will always be treated with kindness, respect, and plenty of love. I’m currently a college student, and most of my classes are in the mornings. I only have two busy days during the week (Mondays and Fridays), but I still have plenty of availability in the afternoons and evenings. The rest of the week I have a very flexible schedule, which makes it easy for me to stop by for drop-in visits, walks, or cat care. Pet care fits naturally into my routine because I genuinely enjoy spending time with animals, and I make sure they get attention, playtime, and consistent care. In a client’s home, I follow the pet’s normal routine as closely as possible. I make sure they have fresh food and water, clean litter or regular potty breaks, and plenty of love and attention. I spend time playing, cuddling, or just keeping them company depending on what they enjoy. I also keep the home tidy and update owners with pictures and messages so they always know how their pets are doing.
“Maritess is very professional and she does an excellent job with our girls. She sends plenty of pictures (which are always very well taken)and we can tell that our cats are very comfortable around her.”

We were a bit nervous about leaving for a few days when Koko required some additional pampering during her visits. Fortunately, Bradley's messages let us know exactly how she was doing and put us at ease! He went above and beyond and we don't think she missed us a bit.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in North Augusta. On Rover:
- 100% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 100% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 95% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
