“She sent me lots of pictures and was very sweet and patient with my cat who was shy about a new person. She was very understanding and communicative. Thank you for your help!!”

“Kiera was AMAZING with our pets while we were on vacation! She sent pictures, let us know if there were any schedule changes and responded lightning fast. Will definitely book again!”

“Karly did a great job of watching our dogs and home over the weekend while we were out of town. Excellent communication and she was able to house/dog sit for us at the last minute. I would definitely recommend Karly and we will use her again in the future.”

About: I grew up with pitbulls, blue heelers, and cats. I currently have two fur babies named Theodore and Jax (who are living a 5 star luxury life 🐾). My friends reach out to me if they need help with caring for their doggies. I’m trustworthy and will respect your instructions! I will not do anything or give anything to your pup unless it’s specifically stated beforehand or I ask you first. I do not have children so it’s easy for me to be flexible in caring for your baby! I will provide loving care, and most of all, keep you updated and send plenty of photos to give you the reassurance that your pup is safe and cared for. I LOVE plants, so if there’s any plants you need watered while you’re away, I’d happily do so! I currently do not work. I mostly tend to my fur babies or my garden most days. I am doing college online but it is very flexible. My schedule is pretty flexible! Unfortunately, I cannot take care of animals in my home. We are renting and our lease states we have to have prior approval and charge a fee if another animal will be residing with us. My corgi (Theodore) is a bit of an introvert as well and does not enjoy other animals (other than Jax) in his space. I am able to drive and take care of your pet in your home! I don’t mind taking multiple trips if that will put you at ease about your pet!

“Amanda has been so wonderful to our pets! She's come in clutch when we didn't know where else to turn and they've been so happy with her! We've used her services multiple times, she's so reliable.”
“This was our second time booking with Meaghan. It was just as easy to set up as last time and made for a stress free vacation. She is very responsive and easy to work with. Our dogs have truly come to love Meaghan, and based on the pictures she sent, I’m not sure they even knew we were gone! Meaghan went above and beyond taking care of our pups this week, including bringing a bag of toys for them to play with, and making a pupsicle treat that even my picky husky enjoyed. She sent tons of updates and the cutest pictures, and she even mentioned an improvement in the anxiety levels of my dogs compared to her last visit. Our house was left spotless and our dogs were happy, healthy, and obviously loved on and spoiled while we were away. Highly recommend Meaghan to anyone needing a dog sitter, and will 100% continue to book with her!”

About: I have dog sat/cat sat for the last 4 years, mostly for my neighbors. I recently moved this this area will take care your pets as one of my own and if you allow them in your bed, I will allow them in mines. I don't mind staying the night over your home if this is what you prefer or I can do drop in visits since mostly on weekends since I work full time. Thank you and I look forward to meeting you and your pets in the future. I currently work at the schoolsTherefore I’m not available Until after 3pm on weekdays. I’m more available on the weekends and evening drop ins during the week. I have a fenced yard at home and a small dog who’s used to having all size friends in the house to play with. In your home I can do the same with walks and care.

About: I’ve grown up around pets and have cared for everything from Huskies and Labs to German Shepherds and a variety of cats. Having owned Huskies myself, including one with epilepsy and one with arthritis, and having watched a Lab with megaesophagus, I’m comfortable providing specialized care. I’m also experienced with energetic dogs and understand the importance of routine, exercise, and careful attention. Your pet will receive plenty of care, patience, and love while you’re away, along with fun, engaging activities to keep them happy and comfortable. I work a standard 9–5 during the week and am looking for pet care opportunities to fill my free time before and after work, as well as on weekends. I’ll be in the area for at least the next year, so I’m available consistently and looking to build reliable routines with pets and their owners. I miss my animals back home, and caring for other pets felt like the perfect way to spend my time doing something I genuinely enjoy. I’m happy to provide dependable care, attention, and plenty of love during my off-hours. Whether I’m caring for pets in my home or in a client’s home, I focus on keeping their routine as normal and comfortable as possible. I follow all feeding, walking, and medication instructions closely and make sure pets get plenty of attention, exercise, and breaks throughout the day. I’m experienced with energetic dogs and understand the importance of mental stimulation as well as physical activity. I always keep a clean, safe environment and make sure pets feel secure and cared for. I also provide regular updates and photos so owners can feel confident their pets are in good hands.
“Rachel was great! She was wonderful with all our babies - 2 dogs and 3 cats. I felt confident having her house sit and taking care of everything. Next time I will definitely try to book her again. Getting multiple pictures every day really made us feel good.”

About: I have taken care of my fair share of animals over the past decade: cats, dogs, birds, fish, reptiles, you name it! I myself have 3 cats and understand their body language, needs, and quirks. I also have an iron stomach and nothing pet-wise can phase me. I also have a firm belief in keeping pet owners up to date with photos and texts after every visit. I work a very consistent 9:30-6:30 job with a guaranteed 1 hour break every day. This means I can make consistent visits between 8-9am, 12-1p, and 6:30-10pm each day. Weekends are *usually* free for at least 2 checks a day. My schedule rarely changes and that lets me plan for consistency! With 3 cats, I have long-since memorized what plants and foods are toxic as well as feline CPR and how to recognize signs of distress and pain in cats. I myself aim for daily litter cleanings, consistent feedings, and plenty of active play and love for my cats and any others I'm entrusted with. I have nursed several kittens back to health and have fostered as well. As far as dogs grow- they're the animals I grew up with 4 chihuhuas, a Border Collie, and a variety of loveable mutts through my childhood. I also got my start as a pet sitter walking dogs and doing overnight stays at homes to keep anxious pups company.
“Kailyn was great! She kept me updated throughout her stay & sent tons of pics! The furry girls (a rambunctious 2 year old and a cranky 16 year old) were well taken care of. We will definitely be having her come back!”
About: I have a genuine love for animals and experience caring for both dogs and cats of different ages, sizes, and temperaments. I’m comfortable with feeding routines, walks, playtime, administering basic care, and creating a calm, safe environment. I pride myself on being dependable, communicative, and attentive to detail so your pets feel secure and you feel confident while you’re away. Caring for pets is something I truly enjoy, so I naturally build it into my everyday routine. I make time each day for walks, playtime, and plenty of attention, and I’m available throughout the week and on weekends to keep pets happy, comfortable, and on their normal schedule. I treat every client’s home with the same respect and care as my own, creating a calm, secure environment for your pets. I follow all instructions closely—from feeding routines to home preferences—and make sure doors, gates, and safety measures are always properly secured. I’m attentive, dependable, and provide regular updates so you can feel confident your pets and home are in good hands.

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - North Augusta
Kiera was seriously the best! She did such a great job with our 6 year old dog and 6 month old pup! She sent over so many photos and was very personable and professional. I highly recommend booking with Kiera if you need a kind and trusting individual with your fur babies ❤️

Rachel did an awesome job taking care of my fur babies! She communicated with me wonderfully and made me feel comfortable that they were safe and happy! She provided at home/overnight sitter service for my two dogs and two cats. She gave medicine to my Frenchie daily and even applied a flea treatment to my outdoor kitty! We will definitely rebook with Rachel in the future.
Mikiyah was great. She was very attentive to my pups. My boxer is usually very anxious when I leave so much so that he won’t eat, but we did not have that problem at all while he was with Mikiyah. My Frenchie got lots of cuddle time. Mikiyah sent lots of pictures and updates and I would 100% book her again.

Frequently asked questions about Rover
The average cost for House Sitting in North Augusta on Rover is $45.51 per night (as of July 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred North Augusta walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in North Augusta maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in North Augusta choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in North Augusta. On Rover:
- 100% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 100% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 100% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
