“Brandi took great care of our babies while we were at the beach! They were very happy when we picked them up and it was obvious they were well cared for. Highly recommend!”

“Mel is an amazing dog sitter!! My puppies came back super happy and excited to see her again. Plenty of updates and pictures/videos!! Cannot wait to book with her again ??”

“Brooke was amazing with my Milo. He’s a bit shy and scary but he felt right at home with her. I felt way better leaving him for the first time knowing he was with a safe family. I will be using Brooke again. Thank you again 😊”

“It was my first time using Rover and I loved it! She is attentive and understanding. You can tell she loves the animals that she takes care of. With it being my first time away from my dog, especially with Maxi being under the care of a stranger, I was worried and have been missing her even more. Genesis gave me updates and sent me pictures of Maxi, which calmed my nerves. 10/10 would definitely book again!”

“First time Rover user here! Courtney is awesome! My pup Rosey is a timid, shelter adopted dog. So she can be a little shy at times... but Courtney made her feel right at home! Just like a part of her family. Regular updates, photos and videos too! She is my future go-to rover sitter :) thanks Court! -Bryan”

“Alexandria was very kind and treated our boy, Diego very well. She was always available to answer questions or send pictures and we had absolutely no issues with her or her husband.”

“Janai really cares about making sure the dogs are comfortable and enjoy their stay. She sends pictures to keep you updated. She is accommodating. She even went out her way to throw Queenie a birthday party!”

“Ailey was awesome!! Sent lots of video and pics of our fur baby! She was very accommodating with drop off and pick up times and took great care of our favorite family member!!”

“Excellent experience all around. This was our first time leaving our unsocialized dogs anywhere outside the home they know. Joshua's experience in training and socialzing dogs was apparent in their demeanor in the daily updates. Getting daily picture updates kept our minds at ease as well.”

“I have nothing but glowing things to say about Rachelle and Joe! They have watched my sweet and very active puppy twice now, each with overnight stays. He always comes home very happy and well exercised. They are great about sending pictures and texts while I am away to keep me updated and assured that my baby is receiving the best care. And their adorable dog, Maggie, has become my Winston’s best friend! I highly recommend them to anyone looking for quality, loving care for their precious fur baby.”

“Brandi was awesome! She kept me updated and was a very good communicator. She was very flexible and even kept him for an extra day! Our pup was so happy to stay with her family, and got lots of love. I’m very thankful I found her!”

“Kelly took excellent care of our dog and he had tons of fun! She sent pics and videos daily to let us know how he was doing. Highly recommend and would allow her to keep our furry friend again.”

About: Hi! I’m a psychology major at Augusta University and currently work as an RBT supporting autistic children, which has made me patient, attentive, and very comfortable building trust through positive reinforcement. I’ve loved dogs my entire life, especially after owning and training my German Shepherd for 8 years, and I now have a puppy of my own who keeps me enjoying daily walks, park time, and training every day. (For boarding, she would stay with my family so your pet would have my full attention and a calm space.) I especially like working on basic positive reinforcement with treats or a clicker when wanted. I love petting and getting to know every dog I see, so any chance to spend time with dogs is something I genuinely enjoy. I have open availability! Sometimes I may have an appointment or time commitment, but generally I am free throughout the week. I don’t have any scheduling or preference issues with overnight, extended, or evening hours either. I live in a townhome with a fenced patio. The patio has dirt/grass for going potty, a concrete center, and a backdoor that opens to a walking path. I have two floors with the bottom floor being hardwood (accident friendly!). For crate-preferred pets I have a 48in kennel (deep cleaned before and after use), or if crate-averse there is a guest bedroom that would be situated. I bring my own doggy bags and leash, but can use whatever is preferred. If desired I also have Buddy Trainers mini training treats that can be used for positively reinforcing your pet. My default approach is to focus primarily on your pet’s comfort rather than training, with the option of passive training being added into that approach. If boarding, I could take your pet on walks around the very dog-pro community where there are consistently opportunities to socialize, explore, and play in the paths available. Also with boarding my puppy would not share the space and would be at my family’s throughout your pet’s stay. Regardless of whether your pet is boarding at my home or if sitting at your’s, I have no problem deep (and properly) cleaning any accidents that come up. My approach with all pets, especially dogs, is positive reinforcement through doing things they enjoy. I try to set your pet up for success by matching their energy and minimizing any reason to feel anxious, sized up, or uncomfortable in general.
“She was absolutely amazing taking care of my doggy! Kept me up to date with everything and sent pictures every now and then. Definitely rebooking if needed and 100% recommend!”

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in SC ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
