“Marcus was great during my trip to Florida! He was very attentive and even took notes during drop-off to ensure he knew everything about Polar. He sent me lots of pictures of Polar and provided frequent updates. 10/10, would book again :)”

“Charles did an amazing job taking care of Kenji. From daily updates and photos to ensuring Kenji had walks and playtime. Kenji got along well with Knox, who is a Dalmatian as well. Kenji was happy when I returned, and it was a huge relief to know he was in such good hands. Highly recommend Charles for anyone needing a dependable and caring dog sitter!”

“Ms. Valerie was an amazing host. She was flexible on drop off and pickup. She sent several updates and pictures during our dog's stay. You can tell she truly loves animals. She took care of our dog as if it was hers. I can't say enough positive things about her or her home. Highly recommended!”

“Katie is awesome! Brooke totally enjoyed her stay. I received regular updates on how she was doing, which is a plus! Her first time away from us made me pretty uneasy, but Katie assured she'd be just fine. And with this being a last minute decision, she was able to accommodate our needs! Thanks so much!”

I’ll be your pets favorite human (until you get back)! I’m currently home from college for the summer and have a free schedule! I have my own car and am free all day for check-ins, play time, and walks! I also have experience with overnight care as well! I’ve pet-sit and house-sat for many satisfied families in the past, and follow any instructions given! I’m sure your pets have a favorite hangout spot at your house or around the neighborhood, and I’m happy to accompany them!

“I have nothing but good things to stay about Samantha. This was our first time using Rover and it was a great experience. We met beforehand and saw she has plenty of space for the dogs and a great backyard for them to run and play. She regularly sent updates on our pup and he had such a great time. She was flexible and always pleasant. We definitely plan to use Samantha again in the future!”

“It was my first time using Rover and I loved it! She is attentive and understanding. You can tell she loves the animals that she takes care of. I personally would not choose anyone else. Mary has been such a blessing to me. My dog is 17 years old and she takes such good care of him. She has been available for me for several times, on short notice. I have a hard time leaving my dog because of his age, but I know he’s in good hands. I highly recommend her!

Sarah was wonderful!! I will definitely be using her services again. She kept me updated everyday and sent me pictures of my fur baby. This was our first time boarding and it couldn’t have gone any better. She was so accommodating and her children were very respectful!

Larissa is so good to my husky! She is super flexible and works with my busy schedule. She makes smoky feel at home! He loves playing with her dog and going on trail walks! He always acts excited to be there! He howls when we pull up to her neighborhood! She is great about giving his medications! 10/10 will continue to use her for my pet care needs!

Alexis did a great job with our senior dog keeping her for 2 weeks. She sent messages and pictures so we always felt connected and at ease. All special instructions were followed to a T and our girl even had a fresh bath before coming home. Highly recommend Alexis and would book again!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in GA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
