“Amanda did an amazing job caring for my dog while I was away. She was attentive, responsible, and clearly love animals. I appreciated the regular updates and photos, which gave me peace of mind. My dog warmed up to her quickly, which says a lot. I would absolutely recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy pet caregiver.”

“Dorothy goes above and beyond with our pets, and I could not speak more highly of her attention to detail, care, and responsiveness. She's made our lives so much easier, and we can travel and work in confidence knowing our fur babies are being well cared for.”

“Brandi was so great with our senior dog Cookie! She kept us updated with pictures and notes of our pup on each check-in and made sure that she had what she needed before she left. She even helped us with a last minute additional check in when we were going to be late getting back home, which we greatly appreciated! We would absolutely book with her again!”

“Devin was absolutely incredible. This was our first time using a pet sitting service and she put our minds at ease and I could not speak more highly of her. 11/10 stars. We'll be using her again.”

“Caitlin was great checking in on Violet. It was super last minute, so Violet was the only one that actually got to meet her in person. Even with a storm she gave me peace of mind that Violet would be checked on.”

“Morgan was wonderful from start to finish. We booked a drop-in visit first so Coco could meet her before committing to house sitting, and it turned out to be a perfect match. Coco is the shyest dog in the world and is usually very hesitant around new people. Morgan was incredibly patient and allowed Coco to approach her at her own pace without any pressure. By the end of the visit, Coco was comfortable enough to let Morgan pet her and be close to her, which is something she rarely does with strangers. Morgan is kind, gentle, and clearly understands how to work with nervous dogs. We were so happy to find her and feel very confident leaving Coco in her care. We will definitely be booking house sitting with Morgan and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a caring and patient sitter.”

“We had the BEST experience with Paige! She went above and beyond caring for our cat. She followed every single direction perfectly and kept us updated so I never had to worry. She was always reachable anytime I needed her and made me feel 100% comfortable being away. Truly the most reliable and thoughtful sitter — highly recommend! We will definitely be booking with her again! 🐾💛”
“We booked a drop-in visit with Ridge while looking for a sitter for Coco, and after meeting him, we knew we didn't need to look any further. Ridge was attentive, thoughtful, and took the time to listen to all of Coco's needs and quirks. Coco is a very shy dog, and he showed the patience, empathy, and understanding needed to help her feel comfortable. He was calm, professional, and genuinely interested in getting to know her. Finding someone you can trust with your dog is not easy, especially when you have a nervous rescue, but Ridge gave us complete confidence that Coco would be in great hands. We are very happy to have found someone we can trust with our baby girl while we're away and would highly recommend him.”

“Mary was absolutely amazing! She made sure to make our dog feel so comfortable and loved. She always made sure to do everything we requested so that nothing in our dog’s routine would be different. Will be rebooking in the future!”

“The absolute best! Chelsey is on time. Does a fantastic job communicating. But most importantly instills a sense of truth that your pet is being properly taken care of.”

“Melissa was amazing. The dogs got out at the beginning and had a field day. She cleaned up and took care of them over the few days going above and beyond. Forever grateful for her assistance to my dogs while I was out of town. Just hopefully they didn’t traumatize her too much”

“I really appreciate Mary for coming over to my house and helping with our pup. Her consistency really helped with this stressful week. She even took 1-2 pictures with every visit.”

Cat parents share their Rover experiences - Evans
Evan is a great sitter! He did some drop-in visits for my retired working dog and cat over the weekend. My dog, Drago, immediately liked him. Evan was always on time and made sure both pets got their food and proper meds and then spent time playing with Drago too! I’ll be asking Evan back again for sure.

Haley was a great sitter for our 4 cats while we were out of town! One cat stays in a room separately because she doesn't get along with other cats and Haley was great about keeping them separated but making sure everyone had all their needs met and then plenty of treats, too!

Brandt took wonderful care of our two cats! We had issues with our water while we were away, and Brandt was kind to offer to water over for them. We appreciated the updates throughout the weekend and his extra attention to our playful kitten! Brandt is very attentive, kind, and his love for his work and animals is very clear -- we would recommend him as a pet sitter to anyone!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
