“I will be rebooking with Mary for our dogs! She was prompt and reliable and quick to communicate. She also went above and beyond when my dog needed a scheduled vet appointment that was needed weeks after we made the booking. I am so grateful that she could accommodate my dog's need and was willing to be her escort to the doctor. Thank you so much! Sophie and Penny will see you soon!”

“Amber was amazing!! She took such great care of the pups and kept me updated and asked questions. Highly recommend her! When I wasn’t getting home as early as expected she stepped in and ensured my kids were fed and let out. She went above and beyond! Truly thankful for her!”

“Kailyn did an amazing job with my 4 dogs to include medications & special diets. I got regular updates and my pups were very happy. I wouldn't hesitate to book with her again.”
“Shannon was absolutely amazing with my baby over the past few days. She was super communicative the entire time I was away, and FaceTimed me many times so that I could check in to see what my pup was up to! I don’t think he even realized I was away because he was having so much fun with Shannon the entire time. I will definitely request Shannon the time I have to leave town for any length of time. I cannot thank her enough!”

“Perla watched our 2 dogs Chase and Luke at our home for 8 days. We had never left our dogs for that long, but I never once worried because she was on top of things. She was great with giving me updates, asking any questions and sending me pictures. My one dog Chase had peed once in the house and she cleaned up as needed. She also took good care of my Chase’s condition. I would highly recommend Perla to anyone!”

“Nicole was amazing with our 11-year old Boston Terrier, Bodie. She sent us several daily updates, pictures and videos of her time at our home. We enjoyed our Labor Day weekend with Nicole taking care of our Bodie and we highly recommend her and would definitely use her again in the future.”

“Grace cared for our 2 dogs and cat while we were away for a long weekend. During our meet and greet, Grace loved on our dogs and we were confident she would do a great job caring for them. We came back to an orderly house and happy animals!”

“Ridge was great with communication from the beginning. He took great care of our dog and was very attentive to anything that was needed. I would definitely love to have him stay with our Beau in the future.”

“Kyara was a wonderful sitter to my 3 dogs. She stayed in our home for the days we were gone and left it in perfect condition. She sent updates each day about how they were doing. She was able to care for my senior dog who needed medication. Thank you for watching over our dogs!”

“I came home from my trip away and my pup was so calm and content- which I know is such a clear indicator he was well taken care of by Hannah. Hannah sent me updates along the way and was flexible with booking four days in advance. I’m so grateful for the energy, communication and help Hannah provides. I will absolutely book Hannah again and HIGHLY recommend!”

“Brandt was a phenomenal house sitter. One of my pups can take a minute to warm up to new people and I was stressed about leaving him for a few days. However, all my pups quickly fell in love with him and I felt so much calmer with the frequent updates I got about the pack. Highly recommend!”

“Finding someone to care for our pets and home was genuinely was biggest concern prior to traveling. Gwen was a wonderful sitter and completely took my worries aways. Her attention to detail and flexibility calmed my demanding pets while we were away. I highly recommend Gwen to anyone looking for someone reliable that will ensure your fur babies are cared for, loved and safe. Thank you Gwen!”

“Devin is amazing. This was our second time working with her and we will continue to. After some issues with a different sitter, Devin came to our rescue and took over last minute! Our Stella got sick from food the previous sitter left out and she cleaned up all kindof nastiness and kept us updated the whole time. She is trustworthy, dependable, and genuinely cares about the animals well being and our comfort level. We are BEYOND grateful for her. Even after we returned she’s been checking in to see how Stella is doing daily. Devin is an all around amazing person and you’d be lucky to have her caring for your pets! I could go on and on .. but just book her! You won’t regret it :)”

“My dogs were calm and happy when I came home. They were left exactly as requested. The house was clean and well kept! We also had a dog who needed medication last minute- she hopped up to the challenge no problem! We would happily use Morgan again!”
About: I have had animals all of my life. I have been personally responsible for the care of my pets since I was seven years old. I was always raised to treat my pets like family, and I do the same with all animals I interact with. I regularly pet sit for my friends and family, and have been doing so since I was a teenager. I have experience with cats, dogs, lizards, snakes, birds, frogs, and most rodents. On my page you’ll find pictures of my own 4 animals (3 dogs and a gecko), plus some of the animals I’ve care for. I am a stay at home wife and mother, so I have a lot of free time in my day. My children are young, so I cannot have animals in my home that don’t get along well with children. I have three friendly, well trained dogs to get along with each other greatly. They’ve gotten along with any other dogs that have been under my care. They are also great with my small children. My dogs get fed twice a day, they get walked on demand, and they are allowed to sleep where they please. When they were puppies, they did sleep in a crate in my room. But as they were trained, they were allowed to use the crate as they please. My dogs are very spoiled, they get plenty of treats, they have lots of toys, they have their own beds, and their own blankets.
“We had a wonderful experience! Dorothy took such great care of our pets and we had so many sweet updates through out the day! We would definitely use her again!”

The median cost per night for house sitting in Evans is $40

Caitlin watched our 3 dogs and our 1 cat for us. She was excellent with communication, follow through, great with the animals and our home. We came back and our home looked how it would had we been home and we super appreciated that. We also loved her updates while we were away it helped us have a great time knowing our home and fur babies where in great hands! We already have her booked for our next trip! We super recommend!

We have had Emily help with our 3 pups a few times. She is dependable, caring and great with communication. I have peace of mind knowing my pups are all in good hands. One of my dogs is 15 and he just needs extra attention and care and Emily does that very well. I also have a 1 year old who has lots of energy and wants to fetch and Emily plays with her lots as well. Thank you so much for taking such great care of them and always leaving our home in perfect shape! Highly recommend to anyone needing to leave their animals in the best hands.

This is our second time having Sarah stay at our home with Beau. She takes great care of him and I feel good knowing he’s with her. He got great exercise that he needs and was happy and well-cared for when we got home. We Will be using her whenever we go out of town.

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Evans walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Evans maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Evans choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Evans. On Rover:
- 100% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 100% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 100% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
