“We booked a drop-in visit with Ridge while looking for a sitter for Coco, and after meeting him, we knew we didn't need to look any further. Ridge was attentive, thoughtful, and took the time to listen to all of Coco's needs and quirks. Coco is a very shy dog, and he showed the patience, empathy, and understanding needed to help her feel comfortable. He was calm, professional, and genuinely interested in getting to know her. Finding someone you can trust with your dog is not easy, especially when you have a nervous rescue, but Ridge gave us complete confidence that Coco would be in great hands. We are very happy to have found someone we can trust with our baby girl while we're away and would highly recommend him.”

“Morgan was wonderful from start to finish. We booked a drop-in visit first so Coco could meet her before committing to house sitting, and it turned out to be a perfect match. Coco is the shyest dog in the world and is usually very hesitant around new people. Morgan was incredibly patient and allowed Coco to approach her at her own pace without any pressure. By the end of the visit, Coco was comfortable enough to let Morgan pet her and be close to her, which is something she rarely does with strangers. Morgan is kind, gentle, and clearly understands how to work with nervous dogs. We were so happy to find her and feel very confident leaving Coco in her care. We will definitely be booking house sitting with Morgan and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a caring and patient sitter.”

“I really appreciate Mary for coming over to my house and helping with our pup. Her consistency really helped with this stressful week. She even took 1-2 pictures with every visit.”

“This was my first time using Rover because I wasn’t sure if I would be okay with someone being in home without us, but Caitlin was awesome! She was very reliable, punctual, and continuously communicated with me the entire time. She loved on Shaka, took pictures, and sent them to me, which made me feel even better. I would definitely use her again. Thanks so much Caitlin and Happy Holidays to you and your family!!!”

“Monica was such a blessing to me to take care of my Maddi during my long work hours. She provided lots of pictures and videos during her visits and always communicated clearly to me. Monica took good care of Maddi and gave her lots of love!🩷”

“Rebecca was amazing and went far and beyond! She came and met our pets prior to our booking date and sent us pictures and videos every single day! Our pets absolutely loved her. We can’t recommend her enough and will book in the future.”

“Madison was phenomenal. I cannot say enough good things about her. She was dependable, thoughtful, communicative, and clearly terrific with dogs. From the beginning, she gave me total confidence that my dog was being cared for by someone who is not only responsible, but who genuinely loves what she does. That combination is rare. Madison is the kind of sitter every dog owner hopes to find. She was attentive, easy to work with, and gave me real peace of mind while my dog was in her care. I would trust her again without hesitation and recommend her enthusiastically to anyone looking for top-tier care.”

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
