“Shelly and Jo welcomed my German Shorthaired Pointer into their home for a several day stay. This was my first time using Rover and Shelly gave me full confidence in her ability to care for my high energy and precious boy. Thank y’all so much!!!”

About: I have experience with all breeds big or small, all ages they are well cared for. I own a two year old German shepherd mix, she loves play and looks forward to making new friends. I will keep up with the schedule you have them set on, and I can administer medication/ ointment. I’m a navy reservist so my schedule is flexible, breakfast is served around 8. Then a morning walk around 9, there’s a park in my apartment so we can stop there hangout till 930. Around noon they’ll be taken out again and they’ll be out till about 1pm. The rest day will be filled with enrichment activities, and lots of playing. Dinner is served around 530-6. And they’ll be let out one more time around 7, hangout for an hour or so. Then they’ll be crated around 830-9. There is a dog park located at my apartment complex, they’ll have free access to. I’ll take them to a much bigger area to go run and play. And we’ll go on longer walks.
“We love Whitney! She’s such an amazing sitter. Asher always has a great time. She always makes sure the pups mesh well together and will try her best to accommodate where she can. 5 stars every single time.”

“Katie P. was a great caretaker to our teacup yorkie, Baby. She kept us very updated on how Baby was doing and adjusting to her stay. Another great aspect of Katie P.'s services is the Facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/StaffordPups/?hc_ref=SEARCH&fref=nf) she created to allow dog parents to keep up with their dog as much as they want! Katie is very flexible, responsive, and we even believe she taught our dog a thing or two. We will definitely rebook with her in the future!”
“Extremely knowledgeable in her medical care for pets. She takes creat care to ensure your pet stays healthy, and has an emergency plan in place. She even gave me recommendations on what I can do to keep my babies healthy. Would definitely recommend for pets needing more detailed attention.”

“Maisie loves going to Jessica's house. She walks right in and gets settled! (Which is such a relief when your dog can be nervous!) This visit she stayed for over a week and I wasn't sure she would want to come home with me after all the sunbathing and dog TV that she got. 🥰 But no worries. She's already back on my couch "resting her eyes."”

“I have nothing but good things to stay about Samantha. This was our first time using Rover and it was a great experience. We met beforehand and saw she has plenty of space for the dogs and a great backyard for them to run and play. She regularly sent updates on our pup and he had such a great time. She was flexible and always pleasant. We definitely plan to use Samantha again in the future!”

About: Hi! I’m a psychology major at Augusta University and currently work as an RBT supporting autistic children, which has made me patient, attentive, and very comfortable building trust through positive reinforcement. I’ve loved dogs my entire life, especially after owning and training my German Shepherd for 8 years, and I now have a puppy of my own who keeps me enjoying daily walks, park time, and training every day. (For boarding, she would stay with my family so your pet would have my full attention and a calm space.) I especially like working on basic positive reinforcement with treats or a clicker when wanted. I love petting and getting to know every dog I see, so any chance to spend time with dogs is something I genuinely enjoy. I have open availability! Sometimes I may have an appointment or time commitment, but generally I am free throughout the week. I don’t have any scheduling or preference issues with overnight, extended, or evening hours either. I live in a townhome with a fenced patio. The patio has dirt/grass for going potty, a concrete center, and a backdoor that opens to a walking path. I have two floors with the bottom floor being hardwood (accident friendly!). For crate-preferred pets I have a 48in kennel (deep cleaned before and after use), or if crate-averse there is a guest bedroom that would be situated. I bring my own doggy bags and leash, but can use whatever is preferred. If desired I also have Buddy Trainers mini training treats that can be used for positively reinforcing your pet. My default approach is to focus primarily on your pet’s comfort rather than training, with the option of passive training being added into that approach. If boarding, I could take your pet on walks around the very dog-pro community where there are consistently opportunities to socialize, explore, and play in the paths available. Also with boarding my puppy would not share the space and would be at my family’s throughout your pet’s stay. Regardless of whether your pet is boarding at my home or if sitting at your’s, I have no problem deep (and properly) cleaning any accidents that come up. My approach with all pets, especially dogs, is positive reinforcement through doing things they enjoy. I try to set your pet up for success by matching their energy and minimizing any reason to feel anxious, sized up, or uncomfortable in general.
“Fantastic sitter! Our puppy Maple had a great time and she was well taken care of. Tamika was attentive and made sure Maple was well loved while we were gone. She was quick to respond to messages and sent pictures and videos. We will definitely use her in the future!”

“Very satisfied overall with the experience. Provided regular updates and communication. Caution: Your little one may come back extra happy and spoiled from the love and attention/affection received. Looked very happy in the pics. Smiling Thank you Miss Mary and Mr. Felix for taking care of Max”

“Our boys are big and she had no problem handling them and kept us informed of the everyday activities they were doing. They got two walks a day which I’m sure they will miss. We loved getting pictures everyday it made my dog mom heart happy to see my boys having such a good time.”

“I would leave Chloe with Kimberly again! I could tell that Kimberly pampered Chloe. She asked lots of questions up front to be sure that Chloe received great care. She provided excellent communication before and during the stay, and lots of pictures! I was very happy with everything!”
“Our dogs had a great time with Ashley. You can tell she is a true dog lover! Her dogs are friendly and playful. We appreciated the frequent updates and pictures, as well as her flexiblity. Recommended!”

“Marcus is very good with Polar, this is my second time booking with him and he’s very attentive and friendly! Polar left well cared for and a happy lil doggy.”

“I had a great experience with Aliyah on Rover! She was very informative from the start and made me feel completely comfortable leaving Milo in her care. Throughout the stay, she kept me consistently updated with messages, pictures, and videos, which really gave me peace of mind. It was clear that Milo was being well cared for and getting plenty of attention. Aliyah is also a very sweet and kind person, and you can tell she genuinely loves animals. Her communication, reliability, and the extra effort she put into sending updates truly stood out. I highly recommend Aliyah to anyone looking for a trustworthy and caring pet sitter. Milo and I will definitely be booking with her again!”

About: My name is Carissa and I love animals. I used to watch dogs and cats for 3 years for some income and it’s something I enjoy. I have some training in keeping animals calm and happy. My grandpa is also a vet so I know a bunch of medical stuff in case of emergency. I have open availability always. I have two big dogs myself so I’m good with all sizes of dogs! I’m very good with other animals including cats.. i enjoy what I do. I like long walks with the dogs and just to spend time with them so when their parents leave they aren’t lonely and depressed. I’m very good with instructions and last minute changes. Very good with time changes and needing to be there earlier than usual. I also have worked at a pet store for 4 years and have learned a lot about animal care! I currently work a part-time job and have plenty of time for your babies. Especially on the weekends! I usually work mornings and maybe one close. I get off by 8:15pm latest! I’m usually up pretty early and can spend the day with your babes! I have a separate room dedicated for your baby to feel safe and comfortable if needing to stay in my home! I only have cats and can keep them secure as well!
About: I have spent my whole life (39 years) absolutely loving animals and advocating for better treatment of them in one way or another. My husband is allergic to cats so we have not had any pets as adults, but I love caring for them whenever the opportunity arises. Additionally, I have a Bachelor of Science degree in Human Nutrition with a Biology minor. I’d love to help care for your fur babies as if they are my own! I’m an active mom and wife, but my schedule is very flexible and I work from home so I’m almost always here. I learn quick and will do whatever your babies need. I treat your pets just like you do: like my child. I’m happy to follow instructions to the letter and to also use my own discretion when needed to support whatever is best for your sweet babies.

Wow. Just amazing. Nicole is a very caring and attentive dog sitter. This was my first time using Rover/dog sitter and I couldn't have been happier. She provided comfort and care to my pup during one of the most stressful times of the year. I am overwhelmed by how wonderful our experience was with Nicole. Highly recommend!

Sarah was wonderful!! I will definitely be using her services again. She kept me updated everyday and sent me pictures of my fur baby. This was our first time boarding and it couldn’t have gone any better. She was so accommodating and her children were very respectful!

Courtney is/was AMAZING from the meet & greet until the pickup! She sent us updates, pictures, and videos of my fur baby. She loved him just like he was her own. I could not have come across a better sitter. I almost don't want to say how great she was so I can keep her to myself, but if you book with her you will not be disappointed. We have a sitter/friend for life. Thank you Courtney, you are the greatest!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in GA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
