We are out of the home periodically during the week, but overall, someone is generally home at any given time of the day. We try not to leave the pups alone for more than a few hours a day

Pet care experience
UPDATE: To my valued doggy parents. We will be undergoing a full renovation of the first floor of our home soon. The contactor has requested that we not having any boarding guests during this time to allow them the space they need to work. We will be unavailable for boarding from the last week of April 2026 until the first week of June 2026. I'm so sorry for any inconvenience! I am 56 years old and have been owned by dogs my entire life. My husband and I are deeply passionate about dog rescue and all of our fur babies are rescues. We have been involved in the dog rescue world for about 18 years. Presently, we do volunteer fostering with a local rescue, and facilitate the transfer of shelter dogs to rescues up the East Coast. We live a pretty quiet life so we devote most of our time to our dogs and the dogs we foster. Working in rescue means we often take dogs in who have lived their lives on the street and never had vaccines. Because we would never put any dog at risk, we ask that all dogs we care for as guests have completed their full dhpp vaccine regimen (three DHPP vaccines), and have a current rabies vaccine. We recommend the Bordetella vaccine (kennel cough vaccine), but it is not required. We are happily owned by seven dogs ranging in size from 4 pounds to 80. They are all love bugs and get along beautifully with all our guests. Our dogs live a pretty pampered life, They are free to roam the house and sleep wherever they want, which is usually in bed with us. They have their own privacy fenced area of the yard to burn some energy or take care of business. They are crated only when we need to be out of the house. They are all up-to-date on their shots and we would expect that any pup we sit for would also be current on vaccines. We love to sit for any and all breeds of dog, but do ask them any dog who stays with us be social and accepting of other dogs just like ours are! We do understand that at times, even the friendliest dogs just won't get along for whatever reason. We are fully equipped with baby gates, and plenty of rooms in the event that dogs need to be kept separated. For the sake of our pets' safety and your pet's safety, we can not take dogs known to be aggressive. We also have our two granddaughters living with us who are 12 and 15. They have been taught from the time they were babies how to properly treat a dog and respect a dog's personal space. We also expect that any dogs we care for will be child friendly. All dogs in our home are kept inside with air conditioning in warm weather and are taken out only to do their business and some brief play time. In nicer, more comfortable weather, our guests are brought outside a couple times a day for a couple hours at a time to burn energy. Nicer weather also means nice leisurely walks around the neighborhood. If you have any questions, please feel free to send me a message. I look forward to hearing from you!

Wow wow. Tamara is awesome. She took very good care of my 4 pups, and sent me pics while I was cruising in the middle of nowhere. This is my first time and will book again. Highly recommended. Thanks Tamara, you have earned 5 stars from me, my husband and my daughter.

Love the stay!! Tamara was great

Tamara is very accommodating and goes above and beyond to make sure our Daisy is taken care of.

Tamara did a wonderful job taking care of Vettori! She was attentive, reliable, and made sure he was happy and comfortable the whole time. I appreciated her clear communication and updates, which gave me peace of mind while I was away. Vettori came back content and well-cared-for, and it’s clear she treated him like her own. I’d happily book with Tamara again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy sitter.
