Growing up with dogs has taught me how important they are as members of the family, and caring for them comes naturally to me. I currently have two dogs of my own. My first dog is 7 years old and truly means the world to me. My second dog is a Shih Tzu (3years old) who originally belonged to my grandma, and he's become a very loved part of our family. Caring for both of them has given me experience with different personalities, routines, and needs. In addition to my personal experience, I attended grooming school and became a certified dog groomer. About: Hi I’m Aaron, I have cared for the pets of my family and friends since I was 16 years old and have volunteered at many rescues and shelters over the years. I currently volunteer at the humane society of silicon valley and a non-profit farm. I have extensive experience working with pets in clients’ homes and I have one year of experience working as in home care giver for individuals with special needs. I am comfortable working with breeds of all sizes and various levels of training and would love to get to know your pet! I hope that this job will provide me with the hands on and memorable experience I need to get into vet school :) I currently work as a special ed teacher working with adults with high needs, so I’ve got lots of energy and patience. I work from 8:00 am to 3:00 pm, but I’m used to early mornings. I am can provide direct care for your pets from 5 am - 7:30 am and from 3:30 pm onwards. My apartment does not allow pets so working at your home would be best for me :) I have lots of experience caring for pets in the home. I have house sat for large and small breeds at various levels of training. The first thing I try to establish from the owners is a sense of the pets routine (what a day usually looks like for that pet), then when I meet said pet I try to bond with them through that routine. I also try to communicate with the owner about what sort of energy the pet responds best to. I know that some pets what a more playful and fun affect while others benefit from something more mellow.

About: I’ve cared for pets many years prior to getting my own in order to prove I have what it takes. I treat your pets like they’re mine, with much love and respect. I’m currently working part time, 3 days a week which gives me a lot of flexibility to work other jobs on the days I have off. I tend to spend a lot of time at home so it is convenient to dog sit at home as well. If pet sitting at my house I tend to let the dog tone the house and get a sense of belonging before getting situated. Then I go as follows with their routine. I live in a neighborhood with many dog parks around so your dog will be guaranteed a walk at least every 1-2 hours. If dog sitting at home I like to greet myself to the pet before anything else so they can smell me and get used to my scent. Afterwards I like to check for any dog parts in the area before getting into the routine that is needed for the day.

About: Everyone on here walks, but does your dog need an extra workout? I am willing to stroll, walk, play, and even run with your pup! I have two family dogs (Santita and Elphaba) who I love running with. While my living situation does not allow pets, I would be delighted to walk or pet sit your fluffy friend with the same respect, love, and care as my own. For walks and check ins, I am available in the mornings through 4pm everyday. My August/Fall schedule has not been confirmed as I will be starting a new job. I will keep you notified on our events throughout the walk or stay. I will ensure your pets have enough water and food before I leave. Any kennels are locked and toys are put away. I double check kennel and house locks and wait a few minutes to make sure the pups don’t get out.

About: I’ve taken care of my own cats since they were kittens and they are about 8 years old now. I’ve also dog sit for friends and family while they’re were out on vacation. Love of fur babies!
