About: I have lived with animals (mostly dogs and one cat) my entire life. I started off with taking care of my own dogs and then volunteered at shelters throughout high school and undergraduate school. I have house sat and animal sat for friends and family off and on since 2022. I've watched over a range of animal personalities from very excitable and energetic to reactive and anxious. I also find it very important to maintain grooming, hygiene, and activity/mental stimulation for your pets. I do not have experience with dog training, however, I have successfully trained my own dogs with basic commands. I moved out to the Bay Area 2 years ago to be a full-time PhD student at Palo Alto University. While I do have work and school, I am remote most days in the week (Thursday through Monday), so I can dedicate the time and care your pet needs :) I appreciate having an average schedule including times they go outside, walks, feeding, and hygiene so I can help your pet have as smooth of a transition as possible. I tend to follow your pet's cues and slowly build the trust between us. I love giving them affection while maintaining the training and expectations you have. Debbie was friendly, easy going, and most importantly, experienced. She was a professional through and through. As I am sure any pet owner can appreciate, it’s a little scary leaving our fur babies behind but when someone goes out of their way to assure you that they will show them love and care, you hope and trust that they will do just that. Debbie sent me videos and photos literally twice a day, and provided a little extra attention to details like making sure my senior dog was able to get up on his favorite couch to watch passersby when it became obvious he was struggling at one point. I would highly recommend Debbie.
Kristin has been great caring for our two cats while we were out of town for a week. She checked in each day with reports and photos, and I feel the kitties did really well with her. She also picked up on small things like batteries needing replacement for a chip feeder, or small changes due to house keeping having been in the house. I will happily hire her again, and recommend her to anyone needing care.
We've just started ongoing drop-in visits with Ariana for our two dogs, and it's been great! She provides updates on how the dogs are doing and makes sure they get a potty break during our busy summer weeks. My dogs warmed up to her quickly, and she's attentive to their needs. Rachel took very good care of our two young cats, and she handled not only the messes due to their mischief, but also an ant invasion on the cat feeder! All of that and more!
