“We loved working with Layla. She’s incredibly kind, responsible and invested in making sure our dog was well cared for. We highly recommend her. We had just moved to a new town and she made it easy for us to feel comfortable to do what we needed to do and not worry about a thing while we were away from our pup.”

“I can't recommend Temma enough! She took wonderful care of my dog, Stella, who is blind and requires extra attention and daily medication. Temma went above and beyond, stopping by three times a day to make sure Stella was comfortable, safe, and cared for. I originally had someone else lined up who canceled last minute, but Temma graciously stepped in and completely put my mind at ease. She was reliable, attentive, and genuinely caring. I'm so grateful for her help and would highly recommend her to anyone looking for someone they can truly trust with their pets!”

“Kyley was an amazing sitter. She went above and beyond and even helped with bringing in a refrigerator that was delivered at the bottom of my outdoor stairwell. You can tell she really cares and loves animals. I will definitely book her again in the future!”

About: I have over 25 years of experience working with pets, from training playful puppies to providing compassionate care for elderly or disabled animals. No matter their age, needs, or temperament, I’m confident and capable of giving your pet the attention and care they deserve. I work from home from 6 a.m. to 2 p.m., which gives me plenty of flexibility in the afternoons and evenings. I’m available for walks and pet sitting after 2 p.m., and I truly enjoy both morning and evening walks—having a furry companion along makes them even better! Your pet’s safety, comfort, and happiness are my top priorities. I’ll make sure they get walks when needed, cuddles when wanted, and space when preferred. Every pet is unique, and I take the time to understand their individual needs. I care for every animal as if they were my own—providing love, attention, and a healthy, happy environment.

About: I have had dogs all of my life! I volunteered at the humane society as a foster care provider and found homes for many dogs during this time. I worked with a veterinarian for the past ten years and provided care for his dogs. I am very active and can also run with your dog if you have a high energy breed such as a husky. I will care for your dogs as if they were my own and can also groom, massage, administer medications, recommend holistic nutritional changes, and provide any additional services that your furry companion may need. I can bring your pup to obedience classes, vet visits, or grooming appointments! I will also work with dogs that have issues such as socialization issues, manner problems, or anything else we may discuss. I currently work from home, so I am able to watch the furry friends all day. They can have a private space in the home, in the yard, or join the pack. I can customize preferences to include a hike, trail run, short walks, pick-up/drop off at your pets location, light grooming, etc. In my home I have three dogs, and they can be separate or play together if preferred. i have a large fenced yard. There is also a separate studio with a kennel if needed. If visiting a clients home, I will adjust to clients preferences and instructions.

About: I’ve had a passion for animals my whole life and grew up with a wide variety of pets. I am currently a ski patroller in Lake Tahoe now and I am part of our mountains search and rescue avalanche dog team. I have been a second handler for numerous of our dogs over the years training them in search and rescue and obedience. I also have grown up fostering dogs from older dogs to pregnant mama dogs with puppies. I have done it all and my passion is just being around animals! I work at the mountain as a ski patroller in the winters and in the summer I work as a bartender at a lake front restaurant in Lake Tahoe. I would love to fill that time with a furry friend to go on adventures or be cozy inside with. I have lived in tahoe year round for 5 years now and I would love to share my time here with a companion! I live in Truckee, CA along Donner Lake. My house is right across the street from a fenced in private access to the lake! So if you have a water dog I’m sure they would have a blast running around our fenced in lake access area. I will take care for your pet as if they were my own giving them lots of cuddles and endless belly rubs.

About: I have been a multiple dog owner since I was 8 years old and developed an intense loving passion for all dogs at a young age. I have even fostered puppies from the animal shelter for many years now. Most recently, I have gotten and trained 3 dogs (a golden retriever, black lab and basset hound mix.) I love dogs and love being outside so dog walking is a perfect mix for me. I'm very enthusiastic about animals and am always up for playing with pups. I would be more than happy to run with your dog if you'd like them to get a bit more exercise.

About: As a pet lover and dog mom myself, your pets are my priority and I love getting to meet new dog and cat friends! I am comfortable with pets in all shapes and sizes, and have extensive experience with anxious animals, as my own dog is quite the shy guy. I live in Alpine Meadows and work at Palisades Tahoe, and am happy to give your pets the care they deserve on my off days and before/after work! I work at Palisades Tahoe as a ski instructor and live in the Donner Lake area. I typically work Friday-Sunday with evenings off. I can be flexible if needed! My dog is super friendly and he gets taken out every 3-5 hours if possible. I try to walk him every day, as well as letting him socialize with other pups!

About: I have 2 Crested Geckos, and have lived with 4 different friends who owned cats. Within the last year I have walked coworkers dogs countless times and have dog-sat for them as well. I have pet-sat for coworkers in their homes from one night, up to one month. I have also volunteered at the Truckee Humane Society for about a year as well. I have flexible but consistent work hours that allow me to create a routine to take care of your pets. I love going for walks with dogs as well as hanging out and giving both dogs and cats the pets they deserve. I care for pets based off of what they need and what they ask of me. I listen to body language to understand what they need. I am content giving pets their space, or giving them all of the pets they want. I also pay extra attention to bathroom cues to limit accidents within the house.

About: I've had a dog since I was born and truly believe they are better than people. I've had a cockapoo, a couple of king charles cavaliers, a cocker spaniel, a doberman, and my current terrier mix I rescued, Paisley. I take care of dogs as if they are my own, and there's nothing I love more than coming home to my own pup. I'll send you photos and update texts while you're gone so you know your pup is doing great! Your dog will enjoy outdoor adventures, hikes, and couch time with plenty of tummy scratches. In all honesty, I'm offering my services just because I love dogs so much, and being an owner myself, know all too well the nervousness that comes with leaving your "child" behind when you go out of town. I promise I will bring that sense of ease to you that I too look for when I have to leave my dog behind. My schedule is fairly flexible, so just let me know what your pup needs, and we can figure out if we are a good match! I will make sure your dog is as comfortable as if they were in their own home. I can give your dog his/her own bedroom, or they can snuggle with me and my pup.

About: With a lifelong love for pets and years of hands-on experience, I provide tailored care that feels just like home. Whether it's long walks in familiar parks, cozy cuddles on the couch, or engaging playtime, your dog will receive the same affectionate attention I've given my own pets throughout my life. I work from home all day so any pet will hang out with me and follow my dog's care schedule. I take my pup with me everywhere unless it's a safety issue (e.g. too hot to park in the grocery parking lot), so dogs are not left alone for long. Lunch time typically includes a trip to Meadow Park or Riverview Sports Park. Dogs are family. I have furniture with performance fabrics that wicks away dirt easily. I have a rear deck with a dog hammock for pups to enjoy the sun, or they can move into the treed area on my property. A dog run can be set up as well so pups can have plenty of outdoor time. In the summers, we do doggy play dates at the Tahoe Donner ski hill, which is a short 5 minute walk from my house. I frequent the Legacy Trail and Donner Lake.

About: I’ve been an owner and caretaker of dogs for my entire life. I’m active, thoughtful and responsible in everything I do. Work with me and you’ll never worry about the quality of your dogs care again. My full time job is an entrepreneurial one. As far as work goes I am flexible and able to come and go as I please. I won’t take offers if I’m not able to be present with your pet. I’ve worked with a variety of dogs. Those that are calm, aggressive, nervous etc. Throughout my years of care i’ve adopted different strategies for different dogs and I’ve proven desirable outcomes. I won’t do anything myself or the owner would not be comfortable with and I follow instructions and preferences diligently. If I assume care in your home I always respect the dog and space as if it was my own. A high standard at that.

Malea J.
“Malea has watched my dog Griffin several times, for as short as a day and as long as a few weeks. He absolutely adores her - she’s kind and caring but also knows how to interact with dogs well, including how to give him commands and encourage him to follow through. When he’s with her for a long stretch he never comes back with bad habits, and he’s always well-brushed, healthy, and happy. I know he loves the time they spend together because he’s always head over heels happy to see her. I’d highly recommend her!”

Danielle T.
“Danielle was my roommate in college (for all 4 years) and both of us being "dog people," we used to foster puppies together from the local SPCA. I can say from first hand experience that she is a very responsible animal caretaker, taking the puppies out on walks, cleaning up accidents, and feeding them appropriately. Danielle is also really nice to humans, as I can attest to for choosing to live with her for 4 years! ”

Lilli G.
“Lilli is a very charismatic individual, especially towards animals. She often cares for my dog (while also tending to her own) if I have long days of work or class. She helps me to train good puppy manners and easy commands. I have also witnessed her taking care of a mutual friend’s two dogs. Lilli has a passion for all four-legged friends and would be eager to help you out!”

Meghan S.
“Meghan exceeded all expectations as a pet sitter for my guinea pigs. She followed instructions perfectly, arrived on time, kept everything tidy, and showed genuine compassion. Her attention to my guinea pigs’ body language was impressive, and she kept me updated with thoughtful, timely reports and photos. Truly caring and reliable—I highly recommend her!”

Heather T.

“Heather is a dog lover (and a wonderful dog owner to Paisley, who she rescued). She takes excellent care of my dog, Bentley.... he gets exercise at the park, play time with Paisley and lots of love. If you want to get away and not worry about your dog, Heather's your girl.”

Courtney S.

“Courtney was great with our cats!”
