Over: Hi! Me and my partner Mert are a pet-loving couple living in the heart of Amsterdam. We have always dreamed of having a pet of our own, but since we love to travel, we decided to start by caring for other people's pets first! I as well as my partner work from home and have a flexible schedule for dog walking, daycare, and boarding. I am available for boarding Monday to Sunday. We live in a small, cozy apartment with an open balcony, just a 3-minute walk from Rembrandtpark - perfect for long, relaxing walks in a safe and quiet neighborhood.

Over: I've been studying in the Netherlands for two years now, and during this time, I've had the joy of petsitting over 30 dogs and cats. I'm originally from China, where I had a Papillon named Sanbao and an American Shorthair tabby named Bawan, who's now seven years old. After moving to the Netherlands, I missed them so much that I decided to start petsitting—and it turned out to be one of the best decisions I've ever made. Over the past two years, I've welcomed all kinds of dogs into my home, and through housesitting, I’ve also stayed at many lovely homes across Amsterdam. Each pet I've cared for holds a special place in my heart: from the giant poodle Floppy, to the sweet Shih Tzu Coco, the spirited Shiba Inu Ukemochi, and the mixed-breed duo Teto & Jaap... Every experience has been unique and meaningful. I'm patient, responsible, and familiar with commands in several languages. I love cuddles, I'm warm and enthusiastic, and I always spend quality time playing with the pets I look after. I don't think I'm helping them, they also help me with having a good time during my study here, and grow into a more responsible adult! I'm a student in college with only a few classes each week, and my schedule is quite flexible. If a dog needs walking, I usually come home right after a two-hour lecture. This means I have plenty of time to spend playing and bonding with pets. With summer coming up, I’ll have even more free time! I’m flexible on both weekdays and weekends, and I’m always happy to discuss and adjust to what works best for you. I live alone in a spacious 35m² studio. While I don't have a backyard, my neighborhood is peaceful and beautiful, right next to the canal—a lovely area where many people walk their dogs. I always encourage a meet & greet before a booking, so we can make sure everything feels right for both you and your pet!

Over: Mijn liefde voor dieren is er al zo lang ik me kan herinneren. Ik ben opgegroeid met de goedzak Lester, een zwarte labrador en later kwam daar een vrolijke adoptiehond, Puca, uit Spanje bij. Zelf heb ik nu geen hond, maar ik vind het heerlijk om voor die van een ander te zorgen. Zelfs op mijn werk weten collega’s inmiddels: moet er een hond ergens heen, dan bel je mij. In mijn HR-profiel heb ik dat stiekem ook een beetje als ‘specialisatie’ benoemd. Ik verzorg dieren met veel liefde, geduld en aandacht. Elk beestje is uniek en ik pas me daar met plezier en liefde op aan. De gezelligheid die dieren met zich meebrengen, is voor mij echt goud waard. Met mijn ex-partner had ik een vakantiehuisje in Denia, Spanje. Elke keer als ik daar was, maakte ik een ritje naar het plaatselijke asiel om een hond uit te laten en wat extra liefde te geven, dat werd al snel een vast ritueeltje. Thuis heb ik geen hond, maar wel een ontzettend lieve Noorse Boskat van 10, Marley. Door privéomstandigheden woont ze nu tijdelijk bij mijn moeder, maar ik zoek haar nog vaak op. Ze komt me altijd vrolijk begroeten als ik binnenkom, zit op commando en apporteert haarelastiekjes. Ze geeft me een beetje het gevoel dat ik tóch een hondje heb, op haar eigen unieke manier. Op social media zie ik vaak filmpjes van mensen die dieren (in nood) tegenkomen en redden. Hoe triest sommige verhalen ook zijn, diep vanbinnen hoop ik stiekem dat ik ooit zelf in zo’n situatie kom, zodat ik kan helpen. Mocht ik ooit de loterij winnen (of het gewoon zelf bij elkaar weet te sparen), dan wil ik op een (stads)boerderij wonen en daar dieren opvangen die een veilige plek nodig hebben. Op maandag en woensdag ben ik de hele dag beschikbaar om huisdieren te verzorgen, zowel bij mij thuis als bij het baasje. Ook in het weekend maak ik hier graag tijd voor, met veel aandacht voor veiligheid en vertrouwen. Ik zorg altijd met veel aandacht en geduld voor huisdieren, of dat nu bij mij thuis is of bij het baasje. Een vertrouwde en veilige omgeving staat voorop: ik neem de tijd om het dier rustig te laten wennen en houd goed rekening met hun gewoontes, voeding en beweging. Ook volg ik nauwkeurig de instructies van het baasje op, zodat het dier zich zo comfortabel mogelijk voelt.

Kiara listened to me and applied to the letter the little things to make the walk easier. Momo even let her unwrap her paw at the end without much reactions. Your animals will be in good hand!”

Over: Hoi! Ik woon al tien jaar in Amsterdam en werk tegenwoordig flexibele uren vanuit huis. Ik heb altijd een hondje gehad, maar zij is helaas overleden. Nu vind ik de verantwoordelijkheid om een dier te nemen te groot, maar ik mis het hebben van een huisdier nog elke dag. Daarom ben ik graag voor anderen een enthousiaste, betrouwbare oppas! Ik werk vanuit huis en heb vanaf juli drie maanden vrij. Ik ben dan in Amsterdam en heb veel tijd. Ik ben flexibel (ook last-minute) inzetbaar in zowel de ochtend, middag als avond. Stuur me een berichtje en laten we samen kijken wat lukt! Ik woon in een appartement, zonder andere huisdieren. Ik houd erg van wandelen door de stad. Het gezelschap van een dier zou daar perfect bij passen. Ik woon dicht bij het Oosterpark en tegenover het Ij. Ik ken genoeg leuke plekjes om te wandelen met de hond, maar ook katten zijn welkom in mijn knusse huis.

Over: My name is Olivia, and I have just moved to Amsterdam, but unfortunately, that means further away from my two beautiful dogs! I have had pets my whole life, including a slew of dogs (golden retrievers, a cocker spaniel, a whippet cross, and currently two goldendoodles), guinea pigs and rabbits. This love of animals resulted in me getting my BSc in Zoology and working at a veterinary clinic since 2018. I started as a volunteer and moved to a formal role in 2022. I have been pet sitting in the UK for a few years now and I am comfortable looking after most types of companions. I primarily look after dogs and cats (of all ages and sizes), but thanks to my zoology degree and veterinary clinic experiences, I am happy handling any animal and willing to be taught how to care for new species! I do house visits to feed and play twice a day, go on walks and can stay at yours as needed. I have had pets for overnight stays, ranging from one night to a few weeks at my house, and having just moved into a new apartment, I can now provide this service here! Having been involved in a veterinary clinic since 2018, I am confident and comfortable providing medication and following diets. The breadth of experience looking after others' loved ones has always made me excited to meet new people and their pets. I hope to meet you and your companion/s soon!  I’m responsible, caring, and genuinely enjoy spending time with animals. I often pet sit (both cats and dogs) for friends and family, and now I’m excited to extend that care to others in the neighbourhood. I welcome only vaccinated pets into my home, and I am also happy to make visits to yours. Whether it’s cuddles, playtime, or just some quiet company, I’ll make sure they feel relaxed and loved while you’re away.
I can administer medication to pets, whether mixed in food or given directly in the mouth, ears, eyes, or via injection. I’m comfortable doing injections after we’ve done it together once, so I can see how your pet responds.
I also offer bathing and brushing services. If hosting, your pet will never be left alone for more than 3 hours. I currently work from home and can easily integrate pet care into my daily routine. If that changes and I’m not able to commit, I’ll be transparent and decline the booking. For dog walks, I take a maximum of two dogs per walk, but only after meeting them individually and assessing how they behave around other dogs.
Each walk lasts 30 minutes (tho I always tend to do more if we are enjoying and I have the time), though I’m happy to adjust for shorter or longer walks depending on your pet’s needs. When it comes to boarding, I only host one dog at a time in my home to ensure personalized care. They will not be left alone for more than 3 hrs.

Over: I have never had my own dog, however since I am 10 year old, I have helped my neighbours with walking their dog after school. I love doing those long walks or taking them to a park so they can play fetch. I would love to do more walks in Amsterdam so do not hesitate to contact me! I have a traditional job (40h a week) so my availability is mainly in the evenings or on the weekend. However, I also work two days a week from home, so those days I am a bit more flexible. At my home, I live in a flat with my 3 year-old cat. I would prefer to visit pets at their home, just because my cat is not the most social with other animals. At the owner’s place, it is easy to follow the instructions left by the pet parents.

Over: Hi there! 🐾 I’m 27 years old and absolutely love dogs — big ones, small ones, silly ones, shy ones — all are welcome! I’ve been lucky enough to grow up around dogs my whole life, so caring for them comes naturally to me. After spending the last two wonderful years living in Haarlem, & walking dogs in Haarlem I’ve recently made the move to De Pijp and I’m so excited to start meeting some lovely pups (and their humans!) here in Amsterdam. Whether it’s a playful walk through the park, a calm stroll through the neighborhood, or just some quality tail-wagging time, I’ll treat your furry friend like my own. 🐶💕 Let’s get those paws moving! I have a corporate job where I have the opportunity to work both in the office and from home! I work remote as well as in the office so can cater dog walking into my life very easily! I’m happy to walk early mornings, lunch times and after work always make sure to follow your instructions carefully — whether that’s refilling water or food after the walk, bringing your pup’s favorite toy, or sticking to their usual routine. I know how important it is for dogs to feel comfortable and safe, so I make sure to respect their habits, like stopping at crosswalks, playing fetch in the park, or any special rules they’re used to at home. I also have a fenced small garden in my ground floor apartment which is very secure.

Over: Small senior dogs have held a special place in my heart since I watched my own dog Mischa (orange pomeranian in the photos) go from fiesty puppy to (slightly less feisty) white faced senior. Sadly, I had to say goodbye to Mischa earlier this year at the ripe age of 16. Until I’m ready to adopt another dog, I have the extra time, care and space to look after your dog while you are traveling or simply too busy to give your furry family member the time and attention they need. I have experience looking after my friends’ dogs and cats while they are traveling, and particularly have experience with special needs senior dogs who need specific routines, food, medication, or have unique behaviour/personalities. I work from home most days and live near Flevopark, so I have the ability to look after a dog all day and provide frequent walks throughout the day. My apartment is on the 3rd floor with no yard, but I live very close to the Flevopark where dogs can be walked on or off leash. There are no other animals or children in my home. For boarding, my home is best suited for older smaller dogs (below 10kgs). I prefer to only look after one dog at a time -if you have two small/medium dogs who come as a pair, that is possible but please reach out to discuss first.

Over: I have taken care of family dogs and cats, as well as bunnies. I provide a loving space for them and will adjust to your preferences and routines. I am a student with a flexible self-study schedule, so I am flexibly available to take on jobs, but could also work with a schedule if you prefer that. I care for your pets by providing them with lots of space for movement, entertainment, food and water, and most importantly of all; a lot of love.
