About: Our own furbaby is dog reactive, so I definitely understand the struggles of finding someone who understands! I’ve learned a lot of knowledge from our trainer and am very detail oriented/structured when it comes to our furbabies! I currently work full time but am looking for another source of income when I am free! I am a teacher so I have breaks off when the children do, and have plenty of weekends off as well for date nights, vacations, etc! I only provide pet care in clients home, as boarding in my own home would cause stress to our reactive dog. Open to learning and sticking to your schedule as much as possible so your furbaby doesn’t experience too much of a drastic change without you there!
“Jenny was absolutely amazing. She came over for a meet and greet and brought both the cats and dogs treats. They instantly loved her. She is very responsive and very good with animals. My two dogs and two cats sat at the door after she left waiting for her to come back. She sends daily updates and took such great care of all of my four-legged kids. I would definitely recommend her to anyone who wants their animals to be well cared for. Thanks again Jenny!”

“Amy is the best dog sitter we could have asked for. I pride myself on how much I take my dogs on adventures but Amy even surpassed what I do for my own dog! Amy took my dog on numerous wonderful adventures while sending me amazing pictures from their adventures. When Amy left she left a gorgeous hand drawn picture of our dog. I recommend Amy to anyone with a pet that they like and want to leave in good hands. 5 stars. A+ dog sitting! Will hire again!”

“Aurora was truly a gift having her dog-sit our precious girl Sadie. She was caring, responsive, gave many updates throughout the long weekend and made me feel at ease while I was away knowing that my dog was in good hands. Thank you Aurora. You are top on my list for future dog-sitting needs.”

“We had a great experience with Sahil for housesitting of our pets. He was very attentive towards our dog and cat, communicated issues and questions and was very responsive. The house was also well taken care of. We had a overall positive experience and would book a housesitting or dogsitting again.”

“Susie is wonderful. Communicative, thorough, and thoughtful. Cared for our apartment as well as our pets. Cat got her twice daily oral medication and dog got pets and walks. Will book again if I can. Thanks Susie!”

I have a playful 5-year-old cat at home who I've trained to shake hands, roll over, spin, and even play dead—yes, really! I believe in building trust and bonding with every pet through positive, calm interactions. Over the past few years, I’ve also helped care for a senior golden retriever and another friend's cat, so I’m comfortable with pets of all ages and energy levels. Whether your pet is energetic and curious or shy and slow-moving, I’ll meet them where they are and treat them like family. I currently offer drop-in visits and dog walking only. Photos Guaranteed! I love capturing special moments and will always send lots of pictures during each visit so you feel connected and reassured while you're away. If you’re looking for someone responsible, patient, and genuinely excited to spend time with your pet, I’d love to help. Feel free to reach out—I look forward to meeting you and your furry family member! I'm available Friday through Monday all day, and Tuesday to Thursday in the early mornings (7:00–9:00 AM) and evenings (7:30–8:30 PM). Let me know what works best for you—I'm happy to accommodate whenever I can! “We can't thank Clayton enough for taking care of our new golden retriever puppy, Cooper, and our 15 year old and very vocal diabetic cat, Kiwi, who needs insulin injections twice a day. We appreciated and looked forward to the good morning and the evening pictures Clayton sent us. Knowing Cooper and Kiwi were being so well cared for allowed us to relax and focus on a family trip out of state. We came home to a clean house, clean bedding, a wonderful thank-you note, and a fantastic batch of brownies. We would recommend Clayton in a heartbeat!”

“I have to be honest, using Rover makes me nervous because I’m hiring a stranger to not only care for my beloved pets, but to live in my house while I’m gone. Under the best of circumstances that’s awkward, but luckily I found Mayna and all my worries were tossed out the window. Mayna is fantastic, and I knew it literally the second I met her. We met in a public location first to kind of feel each other out, and then when it was clear that we both wanted to continue the meet-and-greet process, she came by the house to get acquainted with my dogs, and their routine. We were together for a total of about three hours, and the whole time I knew she was going to be perfect for this job. We only went away for a weekend, but Mayna took excellent care of our dogs, which is the number one priority for me. Secondarily is the house, which I don’t expect anything to be done to or for, but Mayna went above and beyond. She washed and dried every towel and linen she used, even though I told her she didn’t need to do that, and the house was extremely clean when we got home. It was like she had never been there. She also kept in touch many times while we were gone to show us pictures of the dogs, or tell us about them, so I was never left wondering how they were doing. And it was clear that they were having no anxiety with her being there, which is great because my youngest dog has major separation anxiety. Overall, this was an extraordinarily positive experience and if you are on the fence about hiring a stranger from an app to care for your fur family, get off the fence and hire Mayna. You will absolutely not regret it. She is very well spoken, educated, kind, friendly, happy, and most importantly she takes pride in what she does as a petsitter. As a plus, at least for me, her work schedule is very flexible and allowed for a very good amount of time to be spent with my dogs. I would hire Mayna as a petsitter again in a heartbeat; in fact, she’ll be staying with the dogs again this weekend!”

About: You can rest assured your furry friend will be in capable hands! I’ve cared for two dogs of my own—one since puppy age to old age, and I currently have a 2yr old pup. I enjoy training dogs/believe this is a great way for bonding. I also enjoy being active and playing or taking dogs on walks. I work full time Monday through Friday, therefore weekends are the best if your dog requires round the clock care. If your dog just needs a morning walk and attention in the evening after I am off work, then I can look after them any day of the week. Personally, I like to keep dogs to their daily routine if possible. I do have a 2 year old dog who is very playful and loves to make new friends. Your furry friend would be coming along on our morning and evening walks and a part of before bed playtime!
“Katherine was amazing, and my dogs felt comfortable with her. She left the house in a great condition and was very accommodating when we needed to extend the care another day. Would highly recommend her!”

About: I have experience in taking care of cats and dogs for my friends and family. I have a Persian cat and I have been living with him for 3 years. I am currently doing it for part-time. My time is relatively flexible. I will be available in weekdays more. Sometimes weekend works too with earlier appointments. I love playing and talking with them like a friend. Sometimes they would ask for pat or hug and my cat does, but I would be more careful with my friends’ pets. I love giving them treats when playing. But my cat doesn’t like treats haha.
“I highly recommend Alex. My Boston Terrier, Mojo, is very stubborn and does not trust strangers. He seemed to really like Alex and opened up to her easily over the weekend when I'm gone. Alex is great at following instructions and easy to communicate with. Mojo had a fun time I'm sure. Thanks, Alex!”

About: Call me Andy! I grew up around dogs my whole life. I've also cared for neighborhood dogs since childhood. I will be attentive to your instructions for each visit and I will send a picture of your fuzzy friend. I love to walk and play with dogs, but can also just spend time with them if that's what they need. I'm a full time freelance artist, so my schedule is very flexible. I can't wait to meet your fuzzy friend. I'm open pretty much any time during the day, any day of the week. I'm a full time freelance artist, so I can be a consistent caretaker and build a bond with your pet. I will make sure your dog is always on leash or keep them within the space you provide. My number one priority is to care for your pet and to respect your home as a professional.
About: I've been pet/house sitting consistently for about 15 years. I have experience with all ages and sizes of dog. I currently have 2 furry companions, 1 dog and 1 cat. I work weekends for a non-profit that runs Farmers markets. This gives me tremendous flexibility on weekdays (Monday-Thursday). I can fit weekends into my schedule after 3 pm and with reasonable notice. I cater my experience to the needs of the animal I am caring for. I'm fully capable of meeting the needs of high energy working breeds, needy affection craving breeds and everything in between.

About: I have a lifelong love for animals and have been a pet parent to multiple dogs, caring for them through every life stage from high energy newborn puppies to slower, sweet senior adults. While it’s been a little while since I’ve had a dog of my own, I am very comfortable adapting to the different pacing and routines required for dogs of all ages. What truly sets me apart is my experience with special needs pets. I was the primary caregiver for my own cat who was both blind and deaf. Navigating those challenges taught me incredible patience, situational awareness, and how to comfort an animal without relying on sight or sound. If your dog or cat has a disability, is aging, or just needs an extra layer of gentle, attentive care, I am fully equipped to give them the safe, loving attention they deserve. Right now, pet care is my primary focus, which means I have an incredibly flexible schedule. Whether you need early morning walks, midday potty breaks, or evening strolls, I can easily adapt to your pet's routine. I am available weekdays and weekends and can be there exactly when you need me. Safety is my number one priority. On walks, I am highly observant of our surroundings, keeping an eye out for off leash dogs, hot pavement, or anything that could be a hazard. Because I maintain a very active lifestyle and regularly strength train, I am fully capable of safely handling large breeds or strong pullers. When entering and leaving a client's home, I double check that all doors and gates are securely locked, water bowls are topped off, and the house is left exactly as I found it.
Niles pet parents share their Rover experiences
Sahil was an amazing dog sitter! He was very responsive and communicative throughout the entire stay, which gave us great peace of mind. He took wonderful care of our dog for a few days, and it’s clear that he genuinely loves and understands pets. The best part was seeing how happy and relaxed our dog was when we returned, which really showed how well he was treated. We would absolutely trust Sahil again and highly recommend him to anyone looking for a caring and reliable sitter!

Read my other review! I will Only use Aurora to watch my babies. This time one of mine even threw up and she was SO kind about, cleaned it up, informed me, and even saved what he threw up (a foreign object) so I could Look at it. If that’s not a real dog mom idk what is!

Rose did an excellent job watching our two doodles. Both of them are a bit of a handful as one is a senior with incontinence issues (he needs regular outsides and diaper changes) while the other is younger and requests regular attention. Rose arrived on time, she made sure both dogs had regular breaks and she shared lots of pictures. We will definitely work with her again.
