As I have lived in the bay longer I have become busier be sure to confirm if you are comfortable with my schedule . I generally try not to leave any dog inside for more than 4 hours unless previously approved by owner.

Information Lexa N. would like to know about your pet

Before I meet a dog I would like to know how a normal greeting is handled, if physical corrections can be used . What if any are the Normal command words given to the dog (come vs here , if I want the dog to sit is it a flat hand or fist) and what motivates the dog (toys , food, praise )

A typical day

There are many amazing parks around the east bay area. Depending on a dog's energy level it can vary from a half hour walk to a 45 minute chase a ball session. I like to include both chasing and self enrichment time (throw a Frisbee for 30 minutes plus a puzzle toy after to work muscles and the brain) as well as incorporate as much behavior training as possible given the patience of the dog.

Pet care experience

I was raised with a Doberman in my household. Then in my teen years I helped my dad train two black labradors. I have walked many family friends' dogs as well as done puppy training. I have a great passion for animals and graduated from Indiana University with a Bachelors in Animal behavior. I would love to help take care of your pets and give them the enrichment they need for fulfilling lives. The best behaved dogs are happy, full belly, and tired dogs.

Lexa cared for our two critters (dog and cat) over a few days as well as on others separately doing walks. She’s been great at communicating, also updating while on the job with photos and texts. We had a great get acquainted meeting up front, and she followed through on all request wrt care and feeding. She has a lot of experience and I felt confident leaving her in charge. Thanks !!!!

Lexa watched our dog, Edgar, for a weekend while we were away. She was so attentive and sent photos and updates each day. We could tell Edgar was very happy and comfortable!
