For house-sitting bookings, please also let me know whether anyone else—such as relatives, cleaners, maintenance workers, or other caregivers—will enter the home during the stay. I follow each pet’s established routine closely and prioritize calm, low-stress care. Before a booking, I ask about feeding and medication schedules, behavioral triggers, escape risks, walking equipment, emergency contacts, and anything that helps your pet feel secure. I use positive reinforcement, respect animals’ boundaries, and allow shy pets to build trust at their own pace. For dogs, I use secure leashes and harnesses, avoid unapproved off-leash activity, and follow the owner’s guidance regarding other animals and public spaces. For cats, I am careful around exterior doors and monitor eating, litter-box habits, energy, and other changes that could signal stress or illness. During house sitting, I also treat your home with care, keep pet areas clean, and provide regular updates so you know how things are going.

Kaila recently house sat for us, taking care of our young energetic dog and two middle aged cranky cats. She did a wonderful job! We got regular updates and photos about all the pets, so we never had to worry or wonder. The most telling thing for us was how much more relaxed all three of our pets were when we got home. Usually when we come back from vacation, there is an adjustment period as they destress; that didn’t happen at all this time! They were happy to see us but seemed so relaxed and well cared for. We could not have asked for a better experience!
Kaila was fantastic with my 2 cats. She took her time to get to know them and even convinced the shy one to come out! I would happily book again.
Kaila has been the best to our boy Rambo and has been taking him for his afternoon walks. She's punctual and sweet and Rambo easily warmed up to her.
Kaila was incredibly accommodating with pickup and drop-off times, as well as the meeting location. She took wonderful care of our shy puppy, Astro, and did a great job reading his body language and earning his trust. This was Astro's first time away from home (4 nights) and he really enjoyed his time! She kept me updated (pictures and videos) throughout his stay, which allowed me to enjoy my vacation knowing Astro was in good hands. Kaila also helped with his socialization by supervising gentle introductions to her cat and other dogs.
Kaila and Jay were awesome taking care of Louie! They kept me updated on his activities and took him to the park for walks. I could see through videos and pics that he was happy at their place. Kaila kept me informed of his behavior and any change she’d see. Louie found a spot on the couch just like he does at home, so I knew that he was very comfortable with them. Thank you so much for taking care of Louie for the past 10 days! I’m sure he’ll miss you too. I hope you’re available next time we need it!

Schedule
I work a hybrid schedule that includes in-person workdays, so I am best matched with pets who can comfortably follow their usual routine while I am at work. On some days I have additional flexibility to work remotely, arrive home earlier, or adjust my schedule for pets who need more frequent companionship or potty breaks. 😊🐾 Before booking, I will confirm how long your pet can comfortably be left alone, their normal feeding and walking schedule, and whether my work schedule is a good fit for their needs. I am also open to longer stays and can discuss my availability for pets requiring additional consistency.
