“Christine was super helpful and lovely to work with. Biscuit really loved her and sent lots of pictures while i was away making my first time away with her as pleasant as it could be. thank you!!”

“Lindsay is the best! She always responds quickly, is very attentive to my dog, Sophie, and is really helpful. I am so lucky to have found her. I have booked Lindsay several times, and she will always be my number one choice to take care of my fur baby. I highly recommend her!”

“Zachary did a great job with me and my cat. Zach’s communication was excellent, when I was looking for a carer and while I was out of town. I would happily hire him for pet care again.”

“I cannot say enough good things about Mengshu and Thomas. They took phenomenal care of our cat Gravy while we were out of town. They came by every day and in addition to the usual things like feeding him and changing his litter box, they also spent significant amounts of time with him so he wouldn’t feel lonely and got to play. They sent loads of wonderful pictures that we saved because they were so good! I would also note that they are both just really lovely, kind people. I trust them completely and would recommend anyone hire them to care for the pets!”

About: I've cared for dogs, cats, fish, and small animals for 20 years. I am also a reptile owner and comfortable caring for some reptiles and amphibians. I am currently available full time for pet care, regarding pet sitting or daily walks. I am also able to care for and feed some reptiles and most amphibians. I much prefer to care for animals in their own home. I feel it is less stress on the animal and more comfortable for them.

“Kylie watched our two dogs for a long weekend and was great! She took them for walks, made sure they had fresh water and food at dinner time, sent us updates throughout the visits, and was so easy to work with! I would recommend Kylie to anyone looking for help with their animals. You can tell she really cares and is someone we will definitely book with again in the future.”

“Morgan was awesome. She is very kind. She took photos. She was very easy to communicate with. She was on time. I would definitely recommend her and use her again. I have two one year old cats.”

“We usually use a family member to take care of our cats. Due to a scheduling conflict we needed outside help. Sara did a great job! She was great at sending several photos of my happy cats. Sara was even able to see and get a photo of my super scared cat (Odie) that no ever sees, that just doesn't happen. We asked Sara to stay for an hour to love on them so they would not feel so abandoned. She did just that and we have pictures showing how our needy/affectionate cat (Loki) just crawled all over her. The area around the food and water bowl was left clean and tidy. The liter box was cleaned regularly. Thank you for attention to detail. If they could talk I am sure they would ask for Sara again by name.”

About: Hi there! My name is Bri and through the years I have cared for a wide variety of dogs - family pets, fosters, medically fragile/complex, puppies, extremely timid, and senior. I took my grandma's 10-year-old dog in and cared for her until she passed at 18-and-a-half years old. I also fostered a mama and her six puppies (all had ringworm) that were each adopted out to amazing families and then I adopted the mom (Layla) who is still with me today! I work a hybrid job so some days I’m home all day, others I’m in and out. Either way though, our dogs can play the whole day! I am available for daycare and overnights. Excited to connect! I have a fenced-in yard and my sweet pup, Layla, to keep your dog company! I genuinely love dogs of all kinds and give lots of kisses, cuddles, scratches and affirmations throughout the day. Your fur baby will be well loved here!
“Lauren and Wynn took excellent care of our kitties! One of our cats hates strangers but quickly opened up to them (which is always a good sign). Highly recommend!”

“Our dog Holly just loved seeing Margo … she was reliable and so kind to play with her and make sure she got to go potty mid day while my wife and I worked. We will definitely be calling on Margo again to help us out. You won’t find a nicer person to work with. Thanks Margo you deserve this 5 star review.”

“Connor took excellent care of my two senior dogs! She was very nice and very loving towards my dogs. Great with communication and punctual. Followed all directions. I highly recommend her!”
“Jessica was absolutely amazing for my 2 cats! I was worried about picking a new cat sitter, but she put me right at ease as soon as I met her. She made sure to take note of everything my cats liked and disliked. It really looks like she took the time to play with them and spend time with them. So happy with Jessica!!!”

About: I am a very passionate, attentive, and empathetic person when it comes to any and all animals! For many years I have taken sole care of both dogs and cats of all different breeds, and am well experienced in all general pet care to include special needs pets. All of the dogs I ever had as a kid were trained as puppies almost solely by myself and my brothers. My mom used to make me read books and do online research about the breed of dog we had, different training techniques, K9 first-aid, and so much more. Being as passionate as I am about animals, those studies were well retained, and while I don't have professional experience, the knowledge gained from doing it on my own with 9 different dogs over my lifetime have graced me with at the very least, an in depth knowledge of all different stages of dog ownership. This knowledge was also accentuated professionally as I worked alongside military police K9 handlers during my time in the Air Force. Not to worry though, I mix structure, routine, and discipline with plenty of tender loving care, and know how to tune my approach to dogs of all temperaments. In regards to puppies: I have experience potty training, leash training, crate training, and what I would call experienced but moderate obedience training skills. I know how to deal with things like food aggression, how to properly establish the "hierarchy" or "pack mentality" and other conditioning behaviors. As well as handling young puppies, I've even assisted a momma in giving birth to a new litter, and taking special care of a brand new litter of 7 pups! So my experience with all dogs truly does begin at birth and goes all the way to end of life care. For the old timers: The couch potatoes in our lives need just as much, and sometimes even more care than their energetic and young counterparts. I have experience with things like giving medication and shots, managing specialty diets, and a number of other age specific needs. I'm very patient and am willing to take the time to get to know your pet and what they need. Every animal has a different personality and needs attention in different ways, and I'm very attentive to that! I will always treat your pet as if they were my own, and will to the best of my ability make sure that your pet is well taken care of at all times. I'm a full-time nomad and side gigs are my primary source of income. Pet care IS my weekly routine. I'm available and more than happy to abide by the normal 9-5 schedule for daytime pet care, but I can also easily adjust to fit any alternate schedule; whether you need overnight pet care, or any other odd schedule constraints met, I am available. I have lived with my own dog in a variety of different conditions. From being on our own in both houses and apartments, to having a full house of dogs and cats. I am well versed in any additional responsibilities and special care based on living situations, and have no trouble go up and down a few flights of stairs for potty breaks/walks, etc.
“Allison was open to learning how to take care of my bunnies and did a good job. Knowing she was taking care of my little ones let me enjoy my extended weekend.”
“Brendan was great with our 2 dogs. The dogs seemed to like him and the pictures proved that. He took his time with each dog individually which was nice for the dogs to get their own attention. Thank you for respecting our home and taking care of our fur-babies! We are definitely keeping Brendan in our favorites.”

“Jill was amazing! She followed the instructions for our cats perfectly and it gave us a lot of peace of mind while away. Sent plenty of pictures - would definitely book again!”
About: I have been working in the petcare field for 3 years, the last year also being a Dog Trainer. I have experience owning and caring for dogs, cats, reptiles, amphibians, fish, and small animals. I also have experience administering medications, and caring for senior/babies. My schedule is quite flexible at the moment, so let me know if you need something specific and I can always try and see what i can do! I’m unable to have other animals in my home, but I am able to make the trip to your home, where your pets are probably most comfortable.

Emily is absolutely your girl if you need a friend for your cat(s) !!! She’s super diligent about all the quirky details you could possibly have, and will absolutely love on your kitties. She even figured out how to swap the bag in my Litter Genie based on my stupid text instructions from the north woods, so she’s way on top of it !!!! And I received the cuuuutest pictures of Tito being played with and scratched on the head, which means my shy freak of a guy could tell she’s a good one 😹😻 Next time I’m away she’ll be my first choice !!

She was absolutely amazing with our cats, Rory and Regal! She kept us updated, treated them like her own, and even cleaned Rory's little eye boogers, which was so thoughtful. It was clear she genuinely cared about them. We came home to two happy, well loved cats. We'd definitely book with her again. Highly recommend! ❤️

Donna was amazing! She communicated excellently, was reliable, and gave exceptional care to our sweet senior tripod dog who is wheelchair bound. It was clear that Donna truly cared about his comfort and wellbeing. We are so grateful and would highly recommend her!

I was a nervous dog momma leaving my persnickety English Bulldog for a short work trip but Wynn and Lauren put me at ease. They took the time to get to know him and build trust. Highly recommend… especially if you have an anxious pup who takes time to warm up to new friends.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
