About: Hi, I’m Kristen! For more than 25 years, my home and heart have belonged to rescue dogs. I know firsthand that our four-legged family members require patience and understanding as they age or transition through life. Right now, I share my life a senior rescue hound (age ~13) who receives daily oral medications. Recently, I lovingly cared for my 15-year-old rescue through a cancer diagnosis, managing a complex daily schedule of multiple medications and physical mobility assistance, including carrying her safely up and down stairs. I was also the primary caregiver for our 17-year-old Shih Tzu/Jack Russell mix, whom I adopted when he was 9 months old, until he peacefully passed.
