“Morgan was awesome. She is very kind. She took photos. She was very easy to communicate with. She was on time. I would definitely recommend her and use her again. I have two one year old cats.”

“Emma came to the rescue for us first time puppy owners! She couldn’t be sweeter with Frisbee and was a huge help to us in learning the ropes on routines and tips to make puppy ownership a breeze. Knowing she was coming over to play with our girl gave us such peace of mind. Frisbee loved her too! 🐾”

“Susan provided just the type of caring, consistent presence that we wanted for our dog while we were traveling, including plenty of activity and pets. We loved her updates and photos that kept us in the loop.”

“Meranda is an absolute GEM! We had an emergency where our pups needed more care. She was ready in less than 30 minutes to watch our pups! She even took them to the dog park!!!! This is the BEST sitter in Cinci! We will book with her again when we visit Cinci next time!!!!”

“I am so thankful for Nina's help while I was away for two long days in a row. The dogs were happier and more relaxed when I came home and seeing her reports took away all my guilt for leaving them for the day. It's obvious they had fun and felt loved. I will definitely seek her out again!”

“Tori was a wonderful sitter for my cat while I was traveling. He warmed up to her extremely quickly. She was very attentive in making sure that he had fresh water and food and played with him with his favorite toys. She also sent me plenty of pictures and videos. I would definitely recommend Tori!”

About: Hi, I’m Azya! Animals have always been a huge part of my life—I have two sweet cats and a silly Great Dane of my own, and I’ve spent the last three years volunteering at a local farm caring for horses, goats, pigs, chickens, rabbits, and more. I also have experience working in animal hospitals with cats and dogs, so I’m comfortable with pets of all ages, sizes, and personalities. Whether it’s long walks, playtime, cuddles, or just making sure your pets feel safe and loved while you’re away, I’ll treat them like they’re part of my own family. With three pets of my own and several farm animals that I’m responsible for weekly, pet care is a huge part of my daily routine. I currently work part time a few days a week and have open availability in the afternoons and evenings so there’s plenty of flexibility in my schedule. In my home, pets are welcomed into a calm, safe environment where they’re treated just like part of the family. Because of my background working in a veterinary clinic, I’m confident handling pets with different needs, including giving medications or extra care if required. No matter where I’m caring for them, safety, trust, and comfort always come first.
About: I’ve been taking care of pets my whole life, growing up I was always the one to help with all the animals. Started with the neighbors dogs, then I would ride my bike to a house in the neighborhood and look after their two dogs. Now I regularly cat sit for a coworker and am the go to whenever anyone needs help with pets. I have lots of experience with senior dogs, but am willing and able to take care of all ages and sizes. My job schedule is not the most consistent, but typically 9-5 on weekdays, but sometimes I’ll be done earlier or have a long break in the middle, but I always have lunch and I would be able to go back for a potty break then. And weekends are always different, but I would be gone for shorter periods of time. Walks would be in the evening during the week and then we could work out a time in the morning or evening on the weekends. More than happy to keep your baby company if you are out of town and take care of whatever they need. I’m also willing to stay over and house sit if that is needed, but can also just do visits if that’s preferred. If you’re in town, but in a busy phase of life I would be able to take your dog on long walks, do enrichment activities, or take them to a dog park.
“Debra was attentive, leaving great notes and photos each day so that I would be updated and kept in the loop. I was also lucky that she was able to work in my last minute job and offered to come by for a very last minute meet and greet which was so very appreciated! I would highly recommend!”

“Christina is great with my dog Sherman. She is reliable and communicative with what’s going on which I appreciate. Sherman is a big and active dog and it makes such a different that he can stretch his legs outside and get a potty break in the middle of my work day. I would highly recommend!”

“This is the second time Zachary has provided drop-in visits to my cat. He was very reliable and went out of his way to make the dates work. Communication was excellent while I was away, and I came home to a relaxed and well-cared for cat. Five stars.”

“Stephanie has taken care of my pets a couple of times now & my pets were happy and well-cared for at home Receiving daily updates with pictures and messages is a blessing while being away knowing my anxious dog & cats are in good hands”

“Wendy was great! She took awesome care of our cat. She went above and beyond to send us updates on every visit (including pics). She is the best! Highly, Highly recommend!!”

“Emma was able to look after my cats on short notice after my usual pet sitter had to cancel. And my cats loved her! I could tell by each of her pictures that they were happy and relaxed which made me happy and relaxed. She kept in touch and I was confident everything would be great when I got home. I highly recommend Emma!”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Fairfax
I cannot recommend Kylie enough! From the very beginning, she was incredibly proactive and communicative, and it was clear that she genuinely cares about the pets she watches. Cleopatra usually takes a little time to warm up to new people, but she gave Kylie the ultimate “belly of trust” upon meeting her, which told me everything I needed to know! My household has gone through a lot of changes this year, so it was especially important to me that Cleopatra had not only her basic needs taken care of, but also the attention, interaction, and affection she needed while I was away. I felt completely confident that she was in great hands. Kylie took the time to thoroughly read through all of my instructions, kept me updated, and was incredibly attentive. I came home to a happy, well-cared-for kitty, a beautifully taken-care-of home, and somehow my house even smelled amazing! Having someone you can genuinely trust with both your pet and your home is invaluable. I’m so grateful for the care Kylie gave Cleopatra and would absolutely recommend her to anyone looking for a thoughtful, dependable, and genuinely caring pet sitter.

I cannot say enough of how much I appreciate Emma!!!! I am usually a little nervous when I leave my cat with someone new. This is my first time booking her and it definitely will not be my last. She went above and beyond to make sure Bug (my cat) was comfortable, loved, and well taken care of. She went out of her way to help with things and to ensure that Bug is safe at home. Do NOT hesitate to book her. She will take really good care of your pets ❤️❤️

Donna was amazing! She communicated excellently, was reliable, and gave exceptional care to our sweet senior tripod dog who is wheelchair bound. It was clear that Donna truly cared about his comfort and wellbeing. We are so grateful and would highly recommend her!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
