“We highly recommend Wendy for anyone who needs their dogs watched. She’s amazing! We’ve used her for months now and she does such an amazing job watching our dogs everyday while we’re at work. You can tell how much she loves dogs and we love reading her updates.”

“Christine was super helpful and lovely to work with. Biscuit really loved her and sent lots of pictures while i was away making my first time away with her as pleasant as it could be. thank you!!”

“Donna was an amazing sitter who got along with my cat greatly! She is very nice and obviously loves being around pets! Will definitely contact her again if I need a sitter!”

“This was my first time using Rover and Andy was amazing! She was friendly, professional and caring towards my two cats. I was so glad to see my cats warm up to her and I loved the updates/photos Andy provided. Thanks, Andy, for putting my mind at ease while I was gone!”

“Daniel recently provided drop-in visits for our daughter's cat Milo while we were on a family hiking trip. His pics of Milo showed how happy Milo was to see him, and when we returned home it was obvious Milo was much more at ease compared to other times we were away. We've also had Daniel pet sit for our dogs in the past, and he really creates a fast bond with them. We're so thankful to have someone as reliable and attentive as Daniel to care for our pets!”

“Aleksandra always does such a wonderful job caring for our puppy! She provides detailed reports on the Rover card with lots of pictures, and she gives so much love to our puppy as if he is her own! Thank you for everything!”

“Jeff was awesome! I have a 5 mo puppy learning to be an adult dog and Jeff was needed to let the pup out at lunch for potty & lunch for a week. Jeff was so helpful and made my dog's schedule his priority. Not only did be let Finn out to do his business but he also took Finn for a short walk! There were resident cats looking for an escape route but Jeff was on top of the escape plan & thwarted their every attempt to break free; even bringing treats for the cats! I can't thank Jeff enough to making that week disaster-free and worry-free!”

“Lauren and Wynn were great. I booked them close to my trip date and they were able to squeeze me into their schedule. Prompt responses during booking and they sent several pics during each visit. Would definitely use them again.”

“Alexandru was very trustworthy and personable! We are so appreciative of all of his help in taking care of our two kitties! He made sure to check everything I showed him each day and kept me up to date on everything!! 10/10 recommend!”

About: Hi, I’m Kristen! For more than 25 years, my home and heart have belonged to rescue dogs. I know firsthand that our four-legged family members require patience and understanding as they age or transition through life. Right now, I share my life a senior rescue hound (age ~13) who receives daily oral medications. Recently, I lovingly cared for my 15-year-old rescue through a cancer diagnosis, managing a complex daily schedule of multiple medications and physical mobility assistance, including carrying her safely up and down stairs. I was also the primary caregiver for our 17-year-old Shih Tzu/Jack Russell mix, whom I adopted when he was 9 months old, until he peacefully passed. Because I don't work a traditional 9-to-5 job right now, my schedule is open. Your pets will receive my undivided attention, whether they need drop-in visits, walks, or a house sitter to keep them company overnight in the comfort of their own home. I treat every animal with the same love and vigilance I give my own. I'm available every day for house-sitting, drop-ins, or walks. I'd love to meet your furry babies! I'll adapt my schedule to the routine your dog is used to. This typically includes about 45 minutes of exercise per day for dogs, daily updates and photos, and companionship for cats. Senior pet devotion: I'm deeply familiar with the slow pace, mobility challenges, and physical vulnerabilities of aging pets. Medication administration: Expert at seamlessly giving oral medications, tracking complex dosing schedules, and managing medical care (inspired by my own pets' health journeys). Rescue and reactivity knowledge: My first rescue, Simon, was dog-reactive. I understand the vigilance required on walks, how to read canine body language, and how to keep a reactive dog calm and safe. Community minded: Proud volunteer for Cincinnati Animal Care, giving me hands-on experience with dogs from all backgrounds and temperaments.
“My skittish cat, Ori, must have really liked her. When I came home, rather than coming out from under my bed upstairs or the like, he was perched on the armrest of the couch near the door, on station for pets. Then he saw it was me and grumbled under his breath. 🤣 Thanks for watching my cats! 😊”

“Sara came over to let Kobe out a few times over 2 days while I had to be in the office. She was timely, very communicative and I could tell Kobe enjoyed his time with her. She sent me loads of pictures and kept my mind at ease that he was happy to see her and hang out! Her notes were so helpful and absolutely perfect in letting me know how it went!”

About: I stand out as a sitter because I have extensive experience with senior dogs, including caring for my own pets through seizures, medications, and even diaper routines. I work from home, so I can provide consistent attention and companionship throughout the day. I’ve cared for many different breeds and temperaments, and I treat every dog like family, with patience, compassion, and reliable care. I’ve watched over 50+ dogs the last few years while being an official dogsitter with many regular clients. I work from home and I usually take a daily walk. I’ve had a pet dog majority of my life, so incorporating pet care into my routine is nothing new! I have a fenced in yard. When I dog sit at homes with no fence, I always make sure the dog is securely leashed before heading out the door. I am however, not comfortable taking dogs to the dog park. I have lots of experience caring for multiple dogs at once. However, I do usually only accept one client at a time (if you have two dogs that’s totally fine).
“Lydia was fantastic! She treated our three cats with such love and care, sent us constant updates, and went above and beyond to make sure they were comfortable while we were away. I only wish I would have found Lydia sooner, I will be calling her back any time we need to travel.”

Kylie watched our two dogs for a long weekend and was great! She took them for walks, made sure they had fresh water and food at dinner time, sent us updates throughout the visits, and was so easy to work with! I would recommend Kylie to anyone looking for help with their animals. You can tell she really cares and is someone we will definitely book with again in the future.

Donna was amazing! She communicated excellently, was reliable, and gave exceptional care to our sweet senior tripod dog who is wheelchair bound. It was clear that Donna truly cared about his comfort and wellbeing. We are so grateful and would highly recommend her!

Stephanie does so well with my 2 dogs. She let them enjoy the outdoors with the back yard and going for walks. She communicated well in words and pictures. So happy she gives my senior dogs such great care since I am out of town a lot and get her on a repeat basis.
Abby truly can do it all!!! She always is so attentive and caring towards my animals. I have had her do drop ins for my senior dog and puppy (in all the puppy stages) when I’m away. She can handle it all from my older Belly’s seizure meds, incontinence, and picky eating habits to Xany’s crazy pup energy, always wanting walks and cuddles and playtime. Abby is communicative and sends lots of cute pics of her visits which gives me peace of mind and joy. My older dog also isn’t really a people person, but she likes Abby and feels safe with her which is the most important. Beyond grateful that Abby lives nearby our home <3

Brendan was great with our 2 dogs. The dogs seemed to like him and the pictures proved that. He took his time with each dog individually which was nice for the dogs to get their own attention. Thank you for respecting our home and taking care of our fur-babies! We are definitely keeping Brendan in our favorites.

Hannah was an awesome pet sitter and we’ll definitely be using her again! She was super responsive, sent the cutest photos, and gave regular updates that really put us at ease. Our dog (Australian shepherd) clearly loved her and got so much attention and affection while we were away. Thank you, Hannah!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
While Rover doesn’t offer traditional subscription services, some sitters offer recurring bookings for services like home visits and dog walking. Recurring services come with their own perks, such as flexibility to modify services (up to five weeks in advance), automatic billing, Rover Card updates, and same-day cancellations.
