“After our first round with Lauren and Wynn, it was the first time in years our elder cat didn’t have a UTI after a sitter. Pictures always show how much our cats enjoy this duo but us not coming home to a sick cat really tells the story. Happy to have this duo caring for our kitties!”

“Lindsay is the best! She always responds quickly, is very attentive to my dog, Sophie, and is really helpful. I am so lucky to have found her. I have booked Lindsay several times, and she will always be my number one choice to take care of my fur baby. I highly recommend her!”

“Margo took great care of my crazy Pup! She was very communicative and made sure he was thoroughly entertained and comfortable during her visits, which made me feel so at ease while I was away. The adorable pictures she sent were also a huge plus ☺️ She is definitely my go-to sitter from now on!!”

I have regular experience with pit bulls, chihuahuas, Great Pyrenees, Great Danes, puppies & seniors! I have recently moved to Cincinnati and looking to build a new client base! I love walks, play time, & cuddles! I have experience in light training, medication, and socialization skills. During drop-ins, walks, or overnight stays, I will gladly help with any additional training needed. I always provide updates and photos, and can ensure you will receive prompt and detailed responses. I am currently working part-time, and my schedule is very open and flexible. With being new to Cincinnati, my goal is to find regular clients in need of a dog-sitter & walker, as well as helping out those who are needing a one-time or occasional helper. I have lots of reliable & trusted references that show my level of honesty, respect of privacy, and cleanliness for client home sitting. I am punctual, detail-oriented, and ready to work with the routine you and your pet have.
About: Hi there! My name is Bri and through the years I have cared for a wide variety of dogs - family pets, fosters, medically fragile/complex, puppies, extremely timid, and senior. I took my grandma's 10-year-old dog in and cared for her until she passed at 18-and-a-half years old. I also fostered a mama and her six puppies (all had ringworm) that were each adopted out to amazing families and then I adopted the mom (Layla) who is still with me today! I work a hybrid job so some days I’m home all day, others I’m in and out. Either way though, our dogs can play the whole day! I am available for daycare and overnights. Excited to connect! I have a fenced-in yard and my sweet pup, Layla, to keep your dog company! I genuinely love dogs of all kinds and give lots of kisses, cuddles, scratches and affirmations throughout the day. Your fur baby will be well loved here!
“Allison did a wonderful job stopping in to check on my cat again while I was traveling! She’s dependable and has great communication. She was also flexible when I needed to change the schedule last minute. Thanks so much!”

“Brendan was great with our 2 dogs. The dogs seemed to like him and the pictures proved that. He took his time with each dog individually which was nice for the dogs to get their own attention. Thank you for respecting our home and taking care of our fur-babies! We are definitely keeping Brendan in our favorites.”

I treat them as if they’re my own by giving them all the attention they need. They are my top priority when they’re in my care! I am available for dog-walking most late afternoons. Whether it’s for a walk or for a visit, they will feel comfortable and at ease.

About: I’ve been a dog lover my entire life! I grew up surrounded by dogs, and my mom owned a pet-sitting business, so caring for other people’s pets was a big part of my childhood. I helped care for dogs of all breeds, sizes, ages, and personalities, including walking, feeding, playtime, and administering medications as instructed. I’ve also owned dogs of my own since I was 22 and currently have an English Bulldog and a Dachshund mix. During the week, I’m a pediatric physical therapist and mom of three boys. Mondays are my day off, and I decided I couldn’t think of a better way to spend some of that time than getting outside, staying active, and hanging out with dogs! My healthcare background has made me dependable, attentive to detail, comfortable following specific instructions, and very aware of safety. I understand that every dog has their own personality, routine, and individual needs. Most importantly, I know how much trust it takes to leave your dog in someone else’s care. I’ll treat your pup with the same love, patience, and attention I give my own Pet care fits perfectly into my weekly routine! I work as a pediatric physical therapist Tuesday through Friday, which leaves my Mondays open. I’m looking forward to spending my day off doing something I genuinely enjoy—getting outside, staying active, and spending time with dogs! I have flexibility throughout the day on Mondays for walks and drop-in visits, making it easy for me to give each pup plenty of time, attention, and care without feeling rushed. I care for every dog in their home as if they were my own. I know dogs are happiest and most comfortable when their normal routine is maintained, so I carefully follow each owner’s instructions for walks, feeding, potty breaks, playtime, medications, and any special needs. I’m respectful of both your pet and your home, and safety is always a priority. I’ll make sure your pup gets plenty of attention, affection, and exercise while you’re away, and I’m happy to send photos and updates so you can feel confident knowing they’re happy and well cared for.

About: Hi, I’m Elaine! I recently moved to Cincinnati after graduating from Hanover College this May and am really excited to get into animal-care here! I love dogs and am passionate about animal welfare. I have years of experience between my family’s two dogs, my five foster dogs, and from being an active volunteer at my local humane society. Through my time as a humane society volunteer and staff member I have become comfortable with dogs of all energy levels, breeds, and sizes. I am committed to using my experience to ensure the best care possible for your pets! I’d love connect and talk more! I currently work from home on Mondays and Fridays, which gives me plenty of flexibility to care for your pets throughout the day! I’m also available on weekends and during evenings Tuesday through Thursday. I love spending my free time with animals and am happy to work with you to find a schedule that fits your pet’s needs! Your pet’s safety, comfort, and happiness are always my top priorities! I have experience fostering dogs through animal shelters, so I’m comfortable caring for dogs with different personalities, energy levels, and needs. I always make sure pets feel safe and loved while sticking to their normal routines. Whether that means going on walks, playing with toys, or just relaxing together, I tailor my care to each pet. I also love sending pictures and updates so you can feel confident your furry friend is in good hands!
“We love having Kristina take care of our furry babes. She always spends extra time, sends lots of videos and photos. She is truly a gem. Plus I think the boys enjoy her visits. ;)”

“Brianna was so good with my dogs! She played with them and loved on they as if they were her own. I have Australian Shepherds and they can be very enthusiastic and energetic, she worked well with their temperament. She was very responsive and accommodating and would love to have her help us out again!”

About: I’ve had pets my whole life and have my own two cats currently. My childhood dog had epilepsy and was on medicine multiple times a day and I was his caretaker to help my family with their work schedules. I give my kitties love first try big in the morning but before I leave I feed them and scoop the box. I make sure to play with them before bed so they have activity and get their energy out. I let my cats free roam while I’m away for the day but I grew up with a crate trained dog. I’ve pet sat for friends before who have restrictions where their pet goes and I’ve been able to follow their directions.
“Gabby did GREAT handling my two big babies! They loved her and I had no issues. I will for sure be rebooking Gabby when I need help in the future. Thanks again!”

About: I’ve been dog sitting since I was younger and all through college, and now I have my own 1.5 year-old golden who is truly my pride and joy. I currently work part-time as a teacher and am available for dog walks after 2 PM on weekdays. I am happy to do check ins or walks! 🐾 I have a fully fenced-in yard with a mini dog park right in my backyard—perfect for safe playtime and zoomies! 🐾 My golden absolutely loves walks and cuddles, and I make sure every pup I care for gets plenty of both. 💛
About: I’ve been caring for animals for as long as I can remember. Growing up, my parents believed that helping care for pets was an important way to build responsibility, so animals have always been a part of my life, and I’ve truly never gone without having a pet in my home. Over the years, I’ve gained experience helping care for animals of all ages and needs, including temporary foster pets, senior pets, and pets with special needs. I’m comfortable supporting animals who require medications, extra patience, mobility accommodations, and individualized routines. I understand that every pet has their own personality and comfort level, and I strive to make them feel safe, loved, and cared for while their owners are away. Whether your pet enjoys playtime, walks, quiet companionship, or needs a little extra support, I’ll treat them with the same care and attention I would give my own. I’m an occupational therapist at a nursing home in Cincinnati! My work schedule is flexible for me as I need to be. I don’t work weekends! I live in a house with a fully fenced in backyard with a wooden privacy fence. My dog is crated anytime I’m not home! My cat roams free and mostly naps!
“Kelly did a great job with our cat and dog. She provided lots of pictures and videos which I really appreciate it. She is also quick and clear with her communication. Thanks Kelly!”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Dry Run
Mengshu and Thomas took such good care of our kitty this weekend. We came home to a happy, well fed kitty and a neat house. Mengshu and Thomas carefully followed his new feeding plan, including measuring and preparing three different foods - adjusting quickly to a last minute feeding change prescribed by our vet. Mengshu likes to take pictures - and sent lovely albums of photos as Dusty ate, played and enjoyed their petting and brushing sessions. They also sent detailed written reports of their actions and Dusty’s reactions. Mengshu and Thomas are not only skilled and efficient pet sitters, who go above and beyond, but caring people who obviously love animals. Dusty and we, his pet parents, look forward to using their kind services in the future.

Tori was excellent dropping in for our three high maintenance pups this week! She did a meet and greet prior and they all loved on her immediately, and I got plenty of pics through each visit of more love and cuddles. She was also so patient and understanding with a few curve balls, which I sincerely appreciated (especially during a work trip when it's so hard to be away!) Definitely asking Tori back - she was amazing to our babies and with communicating throughout!

Laura was absolutely fantastic! Went totally out of her way to take care of my dog while I was out of town. She is very reliable, great at communication, and took extra special care of her while I was gone. Will definitely use Laura again in the future and highly recommend her to watch your pet!!!

She always does an incredible job and has usually even stayed a little extra time for drop ins which is just above and beyond. I know she makes sure each cat gets attention according to their own personality and what they like, and she always remembers their quirks! She is super flexible when I’ve had a last minute change or weird circumstance and I do appreciate her.

Our dog Holly just loved seeing Margo … she was reliable and so kind to play with her and make sure she got to go potty mid day while my wife and I worked. We will definitely be calling on Margo again to help us out. You won’t find a nicer person to work with. Thanks Margo you deserve this 5 star review.

I was a nervous dog momma leaving my persnickety English Bulldog for a short work trip but Wynn and Lauren put me at ease. They took the time to get to know him and build trust. Highly recommend… especially if you have an anxious pup who takes time to warm up to new friends.

You and your sitter can agree on a care schedule that fits your pet’s routine and the sitter’s availability. Pet Sitting can be booked as a one-time or recurring drop-in visit. If you need overnight care or dog walks, you may also be able to book House Sitting or Dog Walking through Rover with the same sitter, provided they offer those services.

- how often you would like to receive messages, photos, or other updates.
Not every sitter offers the same services, availability, or booking options. Review their profile and discuss the care you need through Rover before booking each service.
If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available 24/7 by email or chat if you have concerns.
The personalized, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a casual meeting to vet potential sitters and communicate care needs for peace of mind before a booking begins. Only sitters who have never booked with you before can schedule a Meet & Greet on Rover; however, you are welcome to coordinate one in Rover messages with sitters you have previously booked. This can be helpful if you have a new pet or routine you want to go over with your sitter.
Meet & Greets can take place in person or virtually. If you are booking with a sitter for the first time, we recommend in-person Meet & Greets to get a clearer sense of how your sitter interacts with your pet or the new environment.
During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Meet & Greets are a great way to prepare your pet and sitter for longer stays or first-time bookings. Read our tips for your first Meet & Greet.
sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their contact information. Sitters may set a same-day, one-, three-, or seven-day cancellation policy. Cancelling within your sitter’s cancellation policy qualifies you for a full refund.
Same-day cancellations for recurring services, which include walks, drop-ins, and day care, follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for pet boarding and house sitting, if you cancel after 12 pm on the applicable cancellation deadline, you’ll receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for any remaining days.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means you will get a full refund and our support team will work with you to find a replacement sitter.
