About: I’ve dog sat and taken care of family, friends, neighbors, etc pets since I was about 16 years old. I currently work as a dog handler and have experience with dog walking and caring for animals of all ages. Some of these more specific tasks include bathing, feeding, walking, and of course loving on each fur baby! I have a huge passion for animals and have goals to become a certified dog trainer within the next year or two! I currently work 30-40 hours a week as a dog handler but have flexibility in my schedule. While my week to week schedule differs, I always ensure I make time to care for my dog and any other animal that’s in my care. Wednesday and Thursday evenings are more busy for me but I can be flexible when needed! If leaving the house, regardless of if my or someone else’s animal is trained to be off leash, I always have the animal on a leash. You never know what may spook an animal and I want to ensure their safety and well being is of top priority. If I am entering a fenced area that is not their own home, I will keep the animal on a leash to sniff around and gather its surroundings until they are more comfortable. If entering home with an animal that is not familiar with me, I will give the animal time to warm up to me. This includes but is not limited to, getting on the animals level, not forcing it to do something it’s visibly uncomfortable with, allowing the animal to sniff and get used to my presence and administer treats if allowed by the owner. I’m big on communication so I can/will send photos/videos to the owner upon their request and whenever I feel they are needed to keep the owner in the loop and to ease any worry about their pet being in good hands!:)
“Naomi took excellent care of our Kitties! With her knowledge & love for all cats we felt fortunate & confident with our Kitties in her care. Her attention to bringing in the mail & daily photos/videos was an extra bonus! 5🌟 all the way! We will rebook and would highly recommend!”

“Our pets LOVED Andrea! She is detailed, caring and sends lots of great pics. We are so thankful that we could go out of town and not worry about our four legged friends at home :)”

“Wynn is great with our dog, even took him on a walk in these sub-artic temperatures! I know he is always well taken care of when Wynn stops in for a mid-day visit.”

About: I have taken care of my friend's dogs off and on for a few years, and I have found I excel at taking care of pets, the way owners take care of their own! I work from home and I'm able to give your dog my full attention. I work from home, so I am able to give give full attention to your pet as needed! My weekends are pretty quiet, But I do sometimes go out to play shows on the weekends. I'm fully capable of taking the dog out, feeding, walking, and other tasks as instructed. I'm unable to wash, groom, or cut nails. I simply don't have experience in those aspects
“I cannot say enough good things about Mengshu and Thomas. They took phenomenal care of our cat Gravy while we were out of town. They came by every day and in addition to the usual things like feeding him and changing his litter box, they also spent significant amounts of time with him so he wouldn’t feel lonely and got to play. They sent loads of wonderful pictures that we saved because they were so good! I would also note that they are both just really lovely, kind people. I trust them completely and would recommend anyone hire them to care for the pets!”

“We usually use a family member to take care of our cats. Due to a scheduling conflict we needed outside help. Sara did a great job! She was great at sending several photos of my happy cats. Sara was even able to see and get a photo of my super scared cat (Odie) that no ever sees, that just doesn't happen. We asked Sara to stay for an hour to love on them so they would not feel so abandoned. She did just that and we have pictures showing how our needy/affectionate cat (Loki) just crawled all over her. The area around the food and water bowl was left clean and tidy. The liter box was cleaned regularly. Thank you for attention to detail. If they could talk I am sure they would ask for Sara again by name.”

About: I've cared for dogs, cats, fish, and small animals for 20 years. I am also a reptile owner and comfortable caring for some reptiles and amphibians. I am currently available full time for pet care, regarding pet sitting or daily walks. I am also able to care for and feed some reptiles and most amphibians. I much prefer to care for animals in their own home. I feel it is less stress on the animal and more comfortable for them.

About: I have taken care of dogs on and off all my life different sizes, ages, and personalities. I provide walks, feeding, playtime, companionship, and lots of attention to help pets feel comfortable and safe while their owners are away. I understand the importance of following each pet’s routine and keeping owners updated. My goal is to give every pet the same care, patience, and affection that I would give my own. “Margo took great care of my crazy Pup! She was very communicative and made sure he was thoroughly entertained and comfortable during her visits, which made me feel so at ease while I was away. The adorable pictures she sent were also a huge plus ☺️ She is definitely my go-to sitter from now on!!”

“Thanks to Julie for taking such good care of our cats! She was able to get our shy cat to come out and play and cuddle. Consistent and above and beyond care for our kitties. Thanks!”

“Great experience! Our cats were well cared for, and we got plenty of photo updates while we were away. Excellent service and great communication. Highly recommend Michelle!”

“Kristina watched our cat while we were on vacation and I can’t say enough good things about our experience with her. This was our first time using Rover so we were a little unsure of what to expect but after meeting Kristina and her first visit, any of our worries were gone. She went above and beyond what we expected, not only with our cat but with the house (picked up mail, watered a few plants, etc). She will definitely be our go to going forward and I would recommend her to anyone looking for a pet sitter!”
“Monica is so professional, responsive and trustworthy! We love having her take care of Gadget and Calvin and are so happy with the attention and care she has provided to our sweet pets!”

About: I have 3 dogs of my own who I love to take care of! I can feed, walk, bathe and most importantly give lots of love!! My schedule is super flexible, so I have lots of time in the mornings, afternoons, evenings, and weekends. I’m working part time this summer so I can spend real time with your pets and give them lots of love instead of rushing :) I have grown up around pets and I genuinely love being around animals. I’m super comfortable with both dogs and cats, and I like getting to know each pet’s personality!! whether they’re playful and energetic or more calm and cuddly. I’m patient, responsible, and I always try my hardest to follow instructions exactly how they’re given.

Margo and her husband were great. She followed all the instructions and took very good care of our babies. She played with them made sure to give them attention. Both cats liked her so she’s definitely the kind of person pets gravitate to. I would absolutely recommend.

Mengshu and Thomas were fabulous to work with! They dropped in on my cats over the weekend. They paid extra attention to them, took a ton of photos, and even brought a toy over one day. I could definitely tell from the photos that the cats had warmed up to them very quickly. I am looking forward to booking with them for our next travels. 10/10 would recommend!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
