“Leslie is kind, compassionate, caring, and patient. She went above and beyond walking our dog Bennie who is nervous and needs more tending to than the average dog. Highly recommend.”

About: I’ve had dogs my whole life and taken care of them when needed! I love being around furry friends and make sure they get everything they need and more. I’m currently employed at my local coffee shop, but they’re under renovation so I’ve had a lot of availability! I love going on walks and walk 2-4 miles daily, so I’d love some furry company. At the cafe, I usually work 12-6, so I have plenty of time before and after to care for the pups during workdays as well. I am great at following directions and have a solid understanding of general doggy care in my clients home! I’m super reliable, let me know your needs and I’ll meet them!
About: Hi, I’m Leah! Animals have been the center of my world for as long as I can remember, and I bring that same lifelong love and care into every visit, walk, or cuddle session. Whether it’s a long walk, playful games, feeding, or medication, I make sure your pets feel safe, happy, and loved—just like they do with you. I know how important it is to trust the person caring for your furry family, so I make communication and dependability my top priorities. You’ll always know how your pet is doing, and you can relax knowing they’re in capable, compassionate hands. Pet care isn’t my side gig—it’s my full-time passion. I’ve dedicated my schedule entirely to caring for animals, which means your pets get my full attention, flexibility, and consistency every time. Experience: I've been immersed in the world of pet care since I was young, starting at the tender age of 5 when my cat Spooky had a litter of kittens. Throughout my life, I've had the pleasure of caring for pets at every stage, fostering a deep understanding of their needs and behaviors.

About: I’ve grown up with dogs and have babysat for them before! I treat every animal with love, care, patience, and respect, ensuring a fun and happy environment for your canine-bff(s)!!! I have a lot of free time throughout the week that I'd love to spend walking your dogs^^!!! I am almost always available in the afternoons and evenings during the week, then available all day on weekends As of right now I will only be walking small to medium dogs until I learn how to handle bigger dogs! I treat every animal with care, compassion, and love; ensuring your best friend is in good hands!
About: I have always taken care of a dog for as long as I can remember! I absolutely adore all animals! I saved up bought my first dog (Maltese poodle) when I was 13. Now I have 2 amazing dogs now!! I’ve always watched/walked dogs for family and friends. I took care of my friends golden doodle almost weekly in college. I work from home so I have a bunch of downtime to help/care for your animal at all times. I love taking the dogs on walks for exercise! It’s always been a huge part of keeping my own dogs healthy. I have a dog friendly apartment with a massive fenced in dog park. I have 2 dogs (Newfoundland and Australian shepherd) who LOVE other animals.
“Samantha has been wonderful to have as juice’s “as needed” dog walker. She is always on time, very communicative, and enjoys actually spending some time with juice and our cat Luca. I highly recommend Samantha for all of your dog (or cat) sitting needs!!”

“Andy was very accommodating to a last minute booking and meet and greet. He left great commentary of the walk and some fun photos. Miller clearly had a great time with Andy. Would definitely rebook and recommend Andy to friends.”

About: I graduated from college with a degree in Veterinary Technology. I currently work at vet hospital in Maine. I have been with animals all my life. And have two of my own. I work full time so during the week days afternoon potty time will be hard but if they can handle over 6+ hours of being alone then it will work perfectly. I would care for your animal at your house so it will be easier on your animal and not be anxious when at a new place. I will give them lots of cuddles and love. I treat them like they are my own. We will play all sorts of games too.
“Cody was wonderful with our elderly dog, Amelia. So kind and thoughtful, ready to research our particular issues. I highly recommend her, and I will be sure to remember her if I need help in the future. Thank you Cody!! Lisa A.”

“Owen came to walk our big Shepsky while we were out of town. My dog loved him! Owen was reliable, friendly, and clearly really good with dogs. We will definitely use him again in the future! Thank you from Timber and us!”

About: What sets me apart as a sitter is not only my reliability, but also my lifelong experience with dogs. I grew up with a Labrador who showed me the joy of unconditional love, and I recently had to say goodbye to my sweet girl after 12 wonderful years together. She was truly family, and I cared for her through every stage of life, which gave me a deep understanding of what it means to love and look after a dog. Now, I get to share that love with my two young kids (ages 4 and 6), who absolutely adore dogs and treat every pup like their own playmate. Whether it’s long walks, cozy snuggles, or just keeping up with your dog’s daily routine, I’ll make sure your furry family member feels safe, loved, and part of our pack. Because I work full time during the week, I reserve dog care for weekends only—this way I can dedicate my attention and energy to your pup. My weekends are open for long walks, playtime, and plenty of cuddles, and my kids and I love having the extra time to focus on making each dog feel happy and cared for. By keeping my schedule this way, I can promise that your furry family member won’t just “fit into” my day—they’ll become a part of my family for the day(s). When caring for dogs, I focus on keeping them active, loved, and comfortable. My two young kids (ages 4 and 6) have endless energy and love to play, so visiting pups get plenty of attention and interaction. I live in a quiet town with lots of sidewalks and nearby neighborhoods, which makes for safe and enjoyable walks. While I don’t have a fenced-in backyard, I do have plenty of grassy space for outdoor time, and I’m happy to crate dogs if that’s part of their routine or helps them feel secure. Whether it’s playtime, exercise, or downtime, I’ll make sure your pup feels right at home.

About: Since I was a young girl I was always the family remember in charge of making sure our pets were fed, entertained, trained and given exercise. Around the age of 10 was my first time watching over our neighbors new puppy as they went on vacation. At the time I was nervous but my energetic energy matched the puppy perfectly. Currently i’m renting an apartment at my college UNH with my cat and a roommate. My neighbors who have pets continuously asked me to watch them because of how much time and energy I put into carrying for them. Sometimes I only watch them for the day when work or school takes over and other for extended periods of time. If this becomes the case I make sure to walk and entertained the pet so that they don’t feel lonely. Cat sitting in house is my most common form of cat sitting. Cats and dogs have very different needs from a sitter that I can provide with my years of experience working and owning my own pets I’m currently on summer break until August so my availability to spend time with your fur babies is very open. Keeping in mind that it is still my break there will be times in which I wish to fully experience my summer :) If there is a fenced in yard or not, I still plan to take pups on daily leash walks to ensure safety of the both of us. Ultimately whatever the client feels most comfortable and confident with I will ensure to use those methods. This can include crate use, specific walk routes, specific animal preferences and more.
“Sarah has been walking Jenny weekly for a month or so now in the middle of the day. She has been lovely, and taken Jenny on adventures around town. Sarah has also been flexible when my schedule has changed which I appreciate. I will definitely be booking again!”

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
