About: I’ve had dogs for a huge portion of my life, and the go to person for friends pet care. Dogs really brighten up the day! I do have a full time job in education. During the summer months I’m more flexible with scheduling during the daytime. During the school year my availability is more afternoon based. Being in education I’m really good with organizing, and scheduling. Tell me the plan and I’m going to make it happen. Looking forward to chatting.

About: I bring advanced handling experience rooted in a family history of breeding and training German Shepherds. My co-host is my 9.5-year-old female GSD; she is exceptionally well-trained, gentle, and fantastic with friendly dogs of all sizes. Your dog will get premier care, plenty of exercise, and a stable, balanced environment. I own my own company and work from home. Pet care is something that happens between clients and as the dogs need. Since getting Sia, working from home was a critical requirement to give her the attention she needed to succeed. That has blossomed into a fantastic environment where you can be sure that your dog will receive supervised playtime, time in a yard, and a swift response to any potential issues. I have a back yard where the dogs are allowed to run free, if your furry friend is comfortable and responsible off leash. Sia, my 9.5 year old GSD, helps to keep friends close. I also routinely walk at Gleason Pond and bring the dogs there daily. I am comfortable with medical protocols and am practiced at giving advanced care as needed. I always approach care and supervision from the perspective of “setting the dog up for success” and do my best to make sure they’re happy, well fed, and comfortable.

About: I’ve done a lot of pet care in my life. Whether it range from caring for my own cats to caring for others dogs. I’ve done a lot of dog sitting over the years, whether it be family, friends, or otherwise. Most of my time dog sitting has been with larger breeds such as huskies and labs, however I am comfortable with small dogs as well. I have performed a range of tasks, from common ones such as walking and feeding. To more uncommon ones such as administering oral pill medication. Currently pet care fits into every and any day of my daily and weekly routine. At this moment in time I am available all days of the week. Ad as long as it’s not soemthing before dawn, I am available most hours of the day. When it comes to things like dog walking. Providing safety and care is through using the proper leash for the dogs in the hosue and taking them on the required time/distance of walks. As well as giving them time to warm up to me as not to cause fear from an unknown individual. When my comes to things such as house sitting. Again, properly introducing myself to the pet. And fulfilling all tasks required for the pets healthy life style to continue. Also not touching anything in the house that is outside of the scope of what it allowed to give the pet what they need

About: I love animals and giving them so many snuggles. I have taken care of 4 dogs at once for three days. Two who are sisters, and very energetic puppies. I have that high energy, but know how to be neutral too. I'll send photo and video updates...except of the ones where I am singing and dancing to my own music, which are songs about your pet. What can I say? Feeling inspired! I usually have a lot of availability! I encourage you to inquire:) I try my best to keep my calendar up to date! I will let you know if that works. I am very timely with replies. If I do not reply the day of, I will the next day. Communicate safety rules with owners prior to pet sitting, and making sure I know where everything is located, such as, food, leash, vet phone, medications. Whether or not your baby is sensitive to certain things like being touched or picked up, if they prefer calm energy or high energy. I also communicate the whole time with pet parents to reassure that their baby is in good hands and happy. Please include emergency contacts. I always leave the key hidden where it was found, in the event that there is an emergency. I haven't had this occur, but it's a good precaution

About: Hi! I am a foster mom who really just loves taking care of animals. You know I'd do it for free - because I do! 🙂I’ve volunteered with animal rescues all over the world in the USA, Africa, and Latin America. 🩷 I've worked with with all types of dogs: nervous, young, old, pullers, escape artists, forces of destruction, you name it. I work part time, work from home and I make my own hours, so my schedule is completely flexible. Just ask - happy to help! 🗓️✅ For dog walks I will take them on a familiar path or try to find a nice path nearby. I will keep them on leash unless there’s a fenced in area, and happy to accommodate any requests you have. 🐾🐾

Clarke is a wonderful dog walker: responsible, communicative, dependable, and wonderful with our little dog. She fed, watered, and walked Bitty without fail, which completely put my mind at ease. Since she goes away to college, she’s not always in Michigan, but I’ll want her to help care for Bitty wheboshe has time.

About: I have been around dogs all of my life and I have grown up with Boxers. When I was in high school I would watch dogs in my town very frequently, from staying overnight to just walking and letting them out during the day. I currently work full time in Portsmouth. I work in the office M-F but I can make arrangements if your pet needs to be let out during the day. I am respectful and courteous of my clients homes. I clean up after myself and I always keep my clients updated during my stay by providing pictures and reaching out if needed.

About: I’ve taken care of dogs for several years, including my own dog, Million. I’m patient, responsible, and very attentive to each dog’s needs. I live in a quiet home with no children, no smoking, and a calm environment that helps dogs feel safe and relaxed. I follow feeding routines closely, enjoy walking and playing with dogs, and can provide frequent updates, photos, and videos. Your dog will be treated like family while staying with me. I work from home, so I am at home most of the day and able to give dogs plenty of attention. Because my schedule is flexible, I can take them out for walks, outdoor breaks, and playtime whenever they need. I’m available on weekdays and weekends, and your dog will never be left alone for long periods. I live in a clean and quiet house with no children, no smoking, and multiple extra rooms where visiting dogs can rest comfortably. We also have an open yard where dogs can safely explore under supervision. My dog Million is friendly and fully trained, and I introduce dogs slowly to ensure everyone feels safe. I provide free toys and treats, follow your dog’s routine closely, and send frequent photo and video updates so you always know how your pup is doing.

About: I've had cats and dogs (and other small furry critters) since I was in HS. I love caring for animals. It has always been a joy to care for my own or others. For this last Thanksgiving we had a Foster puppy here as well as our neighbors dog and it was a lot of fun. Everyone, had fun, even the cats. The more I sit for animals on Rover, the more I love it. ~ WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT ~ We will review anything you'd like before you leave, and will do our best to accommodate. ~HOUSESITTING The housesitting rate covers you for 24 hours. I would be coming to your home to watch over it and care for your pet(s) most hours of the day + overnight. I can also water your plants, check your mail, receive packages etc. - One to three walks/day and/or a few potty breaks in the yard for dogs - Clean cat litter box - Feed + water them - Play + cuddle with them - Pic or video updates -Meet and Greets Before any house sitting, we love to have a meet and greet to make sure we are a good fit. Let’s set something up if you’re interested! ~DROP-IN VISITS I will be dropping by for 30-60 minutes to check in on your pet(s): - Let dogs out for a potty break - Clean cat litter box - Feed + water them - Play + cuddle with them - Pic or video updates ~DOG WALKING I would be coming to your house to take your dog(s) for a 30 - 60-minute walk in your neighborhood. We have a wonderful fenced in backyard. Currently we have 1 cat (who hides a lot). We have puppy gates/ex-pens as well as doors we can close if we want to keep the dogs with us. We also have 2 large crates, if pets prefer them. We would honor your wishes, ie: potty break hours, coats in cold weather, how long (if at all) they can be left alone...

  • 96% of walkers can help with special care needs
  • 95% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 96% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
