About: I've had a variety of pets throughout my life, including dogs, cats, gerbils, hamsters, sugar gliders and right now I currently have a chinchilla. I love all animals, and am always up for helping family/friends with their pets if needed. I'm very laid back and do not mind taking extra time to offer my lap if your fur baby requires extra doting and snuggles. I am currently between jobs, so I have plenty of time during the day at the moment. I'm happy to spend some time playing/hanging out! I am currently unable to care for pets in my own home, but I'm happy to come to you! I will respect any instructions or boundaries. I'm more than happy to do a meet and greet prior to care to discuss expectations.

April is wonderful! Tchotchke is a full throttle puller and she helped to get him walking more with us instead of ahead of us. She handled our mastiff with care and the stern correction he needed. I felt as though our grumpy old man was just as well taken care of with April as I would care for him myself!

Steph took great care of my two Shibas - meds, walk, water, food, pets. My two dogs aren't the easiest to walk (they aren't great on a leash and one is hesitant around new people). Steph took the time required to treat them as if they were her own. *This was my first time to use Rover. Would definitely recommend Steph!

About: Hey, I’m Rae (she/they) I show up with care, patience, and reliability, and I’m here to support your pets in a way that feels safe and respectful for everyone involved. 🐾 My experience with animals began early. At 14, I worked at a large dog boarding kennel and daycare, where I handled daily dog walks, kennel care, feeding routines, and daycare rotations. That foundation taught me how to work calmly and responsibly with many different temperaments and needs. Professionally, I work as an accountant, which means I’m detail-oriented, dependable, and communicative. Outside of that work, spending time with animals is grounding and meaningful for me. I also want to be transparent that my 8-year-old child may sometimes accompany me during pet-sitting or walking duties. They are kind, respectful of animals, and always under my direct supervision. I only bring them along when it’s appropriate for the pet, the setting, and the client’s comfort—and I’m always happy to discuss boundaries or preferences. For a first meet-and-greet, I’m happy to meet somewhere local and comfortable. A neutral option is the Dog Park at Longhill Memorial Park (32 Longhill Road, Dover, NH 03820), or we can meet at my apartment leasing office, or at your home if preferred. I look forward to caring for your fur-babies with attentiveness, honesty, and care—and offering you peace of mind knowing they’re in good hands. 💗 I work as an accountant and my days are flexible mainly dependent on the business day of the month. I work from home so it’s easy for me to make accomodations and meet animals needs. Whatever accommodations needed we will discuss upfront! We will ensure we are a proper match before engaging in business. I am able to lift 50lbs and can walk long distances.

About: I have had dogs and cats my whole life. A few of our dogs even had puppies. One litter started to be born on my bed. When I was in my early 20's I used to pet sit for my co-workers for extra cash. I currently have 4 dogs and 1 cat of my own. I will take care and love your pets as if they were my own because that is how I would like my pets to be taken care of when I am away. I currently work days but I will be delighted to stop in to check on and or walk your pets in the afternoons and evenings. Whatever your request is I am sure I can handle it. If you need cat boxes to be scooped. Or dog poop to be cleaned up while you are away, I will do it no problem. I have no problem giving your pet cuddles while you are away!

About: I have had pets my whole life and have been pet sitting for the past five years. I have come to know these pets that I have watched as family members, but have since moved back to California! I have experience with cats and dogs, both my own, and other people that I have watched as well as a few bunnies and even some rats! I am happy to help with cleaning around the house or small gardening activities if necessary during longer trips or anything else that might be necessary for someone to have a comfortable vacation! I hope I can be your go to pet sitter for years to come! I just moved back to the area so I have a part-time job at a winery till about 6 pm on Fridays and Saturdays, but can work around that (just ask!) or any other day of the week! I love making pets feel comfortable and sticking to their given routine. I feel that when the parents are out of town, it can be stressful so keeping things as normal as possible is incredibly important! It’s great to go on walks for dogs and just to have some time lounging around for cats playing with one of their toys. I have experience with mildly aggressive or reactive dogs and semi feral cats and know some tips and tricks to make them feel more comfortable and less scared upon meeting me for the first time.

  • 96% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 97% can help with daily exercise

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
