“Karen is awesome. My dog was immediately at ease with her. He can be a little dicey with adults he doesn’t know, but he loved being at Karen’s house. Her yard is awesome for doggy adventures (complete with chickens to stare at). I can’t wait to bring him back for more play time!”

“Stacey was amazing! This was the 1st time I'd left my puppy alone overnight & Stacey was so understanding & comforting! She sent me numerous pix & inforl throughout the day, which I really appreciated!”

“Sadie and Szymon did a phenomenal job with my Otter! They went on a long walk, and Otter got to play with their dogs in their beautiful yard! They treated Otter like one of their own, and I highly recommend them!”

“Hannah was excellent. She responded to me quickly—very important when you have left your search til the last day. She was clear, always very nice, calming, and she checked to be sure that my dog, Frances, had a temperament which did not object to the presence of her, evidently mellow, two dogs and one cat—she was just very good at customer service. I felt very secure with my dog staying in her (and her husband’s) care. She (and they) obviously knows and cares for dogs. I had useful feedback from the visit (my dog was fine with her cat—(and dogs)—though she has had very little exposure to cats—so it appears vibes are what count with Frances. ) Hannah was friendly even when I changed my time plans on the actual day, oh-so-gently informing me she would definitely modify whenever she could, but she was dealing as well with other customers’ sometimes conflicting schedules. She was very good!”

“Katelyn was super friendly and helpful. My dog loved it at her home.”

“Ember had a great time with Kristi and didn't want to leave when we arrived to pick her up. We can't thank her enjoy for watching Ember for us, we'd definitely use her again.”

“Very sweet person! Totally a dog person!!! Cece was so comforting for us and our puppy, who had never been without us before. It was a big deal that she was communicative while we were away, letting us know she was okay as well sending photos. Last minute acheduling was important for our situation and she was immediately available. We will definitely ask her again if we are in the area and need a sitter.”

“Ashley did an excellent job taking great care of our dog. Thanks to her we were able to take our kids to the children's museum which is close by. I could tell our dog was in caring hands. I recommend her highly!”

About: I grew up in a house that always had multiple dogs and multiple cats, and couldn’t imagine living any other way! I have 3 dogs and 2 cats, who I consider my children (no human children). All my love is poured into my fur babies, and while they are needy and have 0 concept of personal space, they love hard and are incredibly welcoming to all our visitors, human and fur alike! I foster puppies and small dogs through Pope Memorial animal shelter in Dover, so I have a lot of experience with bathroom training and crate training if needed. I recently left the corporate world, and couldn’t think of anything more rewarding than spending time with my fur babies, and helping other fur parents take care of their little loves. I’m home all week, with exceptions for weekly tasks (ie grocery shopping). I have a fenced in portion of the yard that I use specifically for my dogs, there is an entrance to the fenced in yard from the house so there is no unsafe transition to get them from the house to the yard where they could pull or run away. My dogs are allowed on furniture and on my bed, but I also have several dog crates available if a visitor prefers sleeping alone. I have 2 male cats, who act more like dogs. They snuggle with my dogs and get along great with all puppies and small dogs who visit! On rainy days when outside play is hard, I like to take our dogs to the Foxrun mall, where they allow dogs on leashes! It’s a great way to socialize them and get some exercise. I only take one animal per trip, so most of the time this requires multiple trips, but everyone is always so happy and tuckered out afterwards!

“Chase had the best daycare day ever at Sheila’s with Dakota. She is a wonderful caring dog mom and Dakota is as sweet as can be. I will definitely be using their daycare again!”

About: I adore dogs (more than most people) and they've always taken to me as well. I'm insanely responsible, prompt, and would love the opportunity to walk your pup. I work from home with flexible hours so I’m almost always available. I’m available weekends and most holidays as well. Just ask and I’ll let you know my availability. I can easily crate your dog if needed. I’m at your beckon call so please don’t hesitate to let me know what you require, no matter how silly it may seem.

“Gary is outstanding with Otter! Otter has so much fun at Gary's doggie resort that he grabs his 'adventure' bag and brings it to me to remind me it's time to go to Gary's for daycare! I highly recommend him, he is fantastic!”

About: I am a self-described "childless cat lady" who is an equal opportunity lover of animals. I specialize in caring for senior dogs and cats of all ages. I currently have 3 senior pets (one dog and two cats) and I am an approved foster for Old Dogs New Digs, an organization that focuses on finding homes for senior pets in need. I have extensive experience caring for pets with special needs. My previous cat, Clark, was with me from kittenhood until he passed at 16 from cancer. During this final few years, I administered twice daily thyroid medication, kidney supplements, prescription diets and managed his arthritis. I also manage all of these same issues with my current pets. Because of this experience, I have attuned my intuition and understanding of the subtle ways pets communicate with us to express their needs. I know how stressful it can be to leave a pet with specific medical needs in somebody else's care and I am committed to providing that ease of mind for others with special-needs pets. I work full-time from home, so I am available for pets who need extra potty breaks, specific medication needs, or may have trouble being alone for long periods of time. I do go into an office once a week, but I am rarely away for more than 6 hours. We can discuss any specific care needs your pet has and make arrangements for that time. At lunch and in the evenings, we spend time on walks or hanging out in the yard. Nighttime is for couch snuggles on my big sectional! Please note: for all housesits, I bring my dog Luke with me for the entirety of the stay as I am his only caretaker. He is very laid back, likes other dogs, and has no potty issues. I will also keep him off your furniture and vacuum at the end of my stay. However, keep in mind that he is not hypoallergenic. Luke does not come with me for drop-ins or dog walks. I live in a two-story condo with my friendly, laid-back dog, Luke, and two friendly, dog-savvy cats. We have access to a large, shared yard on a quiet cove. While the yard is not fenced, it is set back and abuts trails. There's a great spot for swimming nearby if your dog likes the water! I do have stairs, so please let me know if your dog has mobility needs and we can work together on a solution. I utilize many rugs for my own dog to be senior-friendly. Your dog is welcome to sleep in bed with me, or on their own bed or in a crate. My experience fostering has taught me a lot about what dogs need when they are in a new environment. Special care will be given to make sure they are as happy as possible while you are away.

About: Without exception, the dog park is always one of the best parts of my day. I've had three dogs of my own, and have been around countless other dogs, most of whom instantly become my new best friends. We just gravitate to each other, hence the fuzzy friend whisperer nickname. I have a playful, loving attitude toward every dog I meet. I am also sensitive to dogs who need a little more patience and space to ease into trusting me and respect the boundaries that they need to do that. My training style with my own dogs is focused on positive reinforcement rather than punishment. This approach translates to other dogs as well, unless their owners request differently. Your dog will be in caring, responsible hands with me. They will be loved. I'm self employed and work mostly from home so my schedule is quite flexible. Sometimes I’ll have drop in visits throughout the day, but if your dog is boarding with me, there will generally be someone else at home with them. They’ll rarely, if ever be left alone. I live on a small farm but also live near a road, so your dog will always be safely on a leash when we go outside for potty breaks. I have a very friendly 12 year old 45lb labradoodle named Huck to keep your baby company in the rare cases that I'm not at home. I have a "squirrel observatory" (bird feeder) right near my workspace so your dog will not only be supervised most of the time but also entertained.

“Nicole took great care of my dog during a daycare, and she has a safe and awesome yard. It’s always hard leaving your best friend with a new sitter, but I could tell that my dog had a great day and we will definitely come back to Nicole’s for future daycare and boarding!”

“Kelly took great care of Margot and it seems like she had a good time with Kora (who is a very sweet dog!). When Margot got home she passed out on her bed from all the fun she had. Also Kelly accommodated us when we asked to adjust the drop off time, which is much appreciated!”

“This was our first time using the Rover app and we picked the perfect person to care for our fur baby! Kiley sent us videos and pictures throughout the day and when we went to pick him up she shared how much she loved him! We are thrilled to hear this and can’t wait to have him stay there again.”

“Kate took great care of my dog for the day. Excellent communication.”

“Athena and her husband were great with Max. Will definitely try them again when in the area.”

“Josh and Nicole were awesome- we were so nervous about leaving our new dog while we went away for over a week, but they made it so easy. They spoiled her just like we would have, sent us constant updates, and kept up with her medications with no issue. They took great care of our cats in our home at the same time as well. Definitely recommend.”

“When I think of Leslie, the first words that come to mind include reliable, consistent, attentive, responsible, caring, and compassionate- to name a few. There's no person I'd rather entrust the care of my little Bodhi to than her, and he means everything to me! Leslie is an extremely strong communicator, both with people and pets, and well versed in adhering to any special medical needs or quirks your pet may have. This extends beyond just basic care, and she goes above and beyond to ensure she reads how to adapt her environment to not only care for your pets basic needs, but to make them feel comfortable and happy! Her space is fantastic and allows for the right mix of social engagement and downtime, and shes always been top notch at setting bodhi up for success. He can be a bit anxious or reactive at times and she has expertly navigated his balance of needs and always puts my mind at ease when hes in her care. Dont hesitate to reach out to her to discuss if she'd be a good fit for you and your furry friend!”
