“Julia welcomed our puppy Riley into her home for 6 days. It was our first experience with Rover, and bringing Riley to someone's home outside of our family. We were amazed at how Riley quickly became comfortable! He was welcomed by Julia and soon learned the daily routine. Julia sent us tons of pictures - daily walks, playing with her dog, cuddling and napping. Her knowledge of puppies and training is very deep, and her quiet way was very reassuring to us, and for Riley. She even shared maps of her favorite trails so we could continue to take riley to some of his now favorite walks. We look forward to booking with Julia in the near future. She truly is a 5 star person!”

“Ashley was great with our Aussie. She’s very knowledgeable about dogs and in tune with their temperament and needs. Our dog had a great time hiking and swimming and playing. I’d definitely bring him back again!!”

“My dog was super happy at their house. He’s little so wasn’t sure about the other big dogs but they were sweet & gentle, they all got along well. Thank you for taking care of our little guy!”

“Veska took wonderful care of our 7 year old lab. He was made to feel a part of her family. He got lots of love and exercise. Veska took the time to send many daily updates with pictures. I highly recommend her services.”

“Felicia was very accommodating and easy to work with which put all my anxiety of leaving my pets behind at ease. My dogs seemed very relaxed at her home and I believe they really enjoyed their stay with her.”

“Shana was truly an exceptional sitter and we feel so lucky to have found her. From the moment we arrived, it was clear how thoughtful and prepared she was — she even had a clipboard with notes ready, which immediately made us feel comfortable and confident leaving our dog in her care. Throughout the stay she sent so many photos and detailed updates, which we really appreciated. It gave us so much peace of mind knowing exactly how things were going and seeing how happy our dog was. Our pup ended up having a bit of a GI issue while we were away, and Shana handled it with such calm confidence and care. She clearly knows dogs incredibly well and was so composed and knowledgeable in every situation. She even cooked rice and chicken for her to help settle her stomach and kept us updated on how she was doing, which meant so much to us. Shana, her husband Dylan, and their dog Cleo created such a warm, loving environment. It genuinely felt like our dog was being cared for by people who truly understand and love dogs. We are so grateful for the care she gave our pup and would trust Shana with her again in a heartbeat.”

“Andrea watched our dog Duncan with less than a week’s notice after a previous sitter fell through. He was so well taken care of and it was clear he fit right into her home! We received daily updates and photos which was great peace of mind on our trip. She also has a big fenced in yard and two friendly dogs for our pup to play with! We definitely wouldn’t hesitate to bring Duncan back in the future! Thank you again Andrea!”

“Jeanne offers a pleasant, safe environment - both inside and outside at her rural Wells home. She exudes confidence with dogs and quickly judges their character, individual needs and compatibility with other canine guests. Her experience with horses reinforces a practical, easy approach to animal care. Our Welsh Terrier loved staying with Jeanne and plans to visit again.”

“We can't say enough great things about Kate and her time with our dog Genie. Kate was easy to communicate with and was so flexible in arranging pickup and drop-off. During the visit, Kate sent frequent updates and pictures, and Genie was obviously beaming in all of them - she clearly had a blast and got a ton of attention. We will definitely be using Kate again and would highly recommend her to others.”

“My dog was in the best care with Katelyn. He was pampered and treated just like part of her family. Not only did he have the freedom to run in their large fenced in yard, he was allowed to swim in the pool. I was very appreciative of the videos and photos throughout his stay which clearly showed he had a wonderful time. I will be a repeat customer in the future.”

“Krystyna and Sara were AMAZING. They took care of my 2 dogs for a long weekend when I had to go away for a family funeral. I was already anxious about leaving them with someone new and they went above and beyond. They sent pictures and messages throughout the day. One of my dogs was having a paw issue with his nail and they took care of him and all the needs that came along with it. I will be recommending them to everyone I know and will for sure book with them again!!”

“This was our first time leaving our two dogs with Bob and his wife, Cathy. They were great! True animal lovers. We felt very comfortable leaving Abbie & Tucker with them. They sent texts and pictures while we were away. We could tell that they were very well cared for and maybe even a little spoiled :) We will definitely call on them again for our next get-a-way.... Thank you Bob and Cathy!”

“Leaving our dog with a sitter through Rover for the first time was very nerve wracking but Joshua reassured us from the meet and greet to the very end of our vacation. He sent us updates everyday and communication was top tier. I would book with Joshua again. Highly recommend!”

“Leslie was everything that I could’ve hoped for in a pet sitter. My people shy kitty was very comfortable around her and so was I. I now feel like I don’t have to worry and wonder if friends can help me out when I travel. I can’t believe how easy this was and now I wonder what took me so long.”

“Jenna is very reliable and trustworthy. I felt very comfortable with leaving my 2 kitties in her care. She knows how to go at their pace. She followed instructions to the tee. When I came home everything looked great and the cats seemed so happy. I will definitely use her again!”

“Julia is great! She took wonderful care of our two cats and really won them over, even though they're shy. She was also terrific with getting them to take their medicine and was very on top of communications. We really appreciated knowing that they were in such good hands and we'll definitely try to book her again when we next travel.”

“Alyssa went above and beyond and kept my two cats well fed, well cared for and very happy. In addition she dealt with winter weather and household upkeep and was constantly in contact, being very observant about the cats and their environment.”

“Lydia has been pet sitting for us for nearly a year and she is wonderful, could not recommend her more! She’s great with all our pets who have varying medical needs and even our shy nervous cat loves when she comes by.”

“Absolutely delighted with James’ calm, reliable and kind care for a kitty who can register as a bit resentful over having been left behind. He has been unphased by Roxanne’s cool reception, and, after three visits, has earned her (and my) high regard and sincere trust. Grateful for James’ resourcefulness and respect for Roxanne’s deceptively independent spirit - she (and I) appreciate that he treats her as a kitty who deserves the very best care. Highly, highly recommend this talented cat-whisperer!”

“Brittany helped us out on a very short notice. I can only say the best about her service! She is 100 % dedicated to the pets and obviously loves what she is doing. She also treated our home with such great respect and consideration. She communicated with me daily - just exactly the way we had agreed upon, which made it possible for me to relax during my getaway. She followed all my instructions, which were, in this case, even more important as we had never met before. Most of all, my cats looked fantastic when I arrived home - which was neatly organized just the way I had left it. I could tell Brittany did a fabulous job. We will definitely hire her again in the future - thanks!!!”

“Xi is so great :) Poe is always so happy when I get back from trips because Xi gives him the best company. Xi also is knowledgeable about cat ownership in general and noticed Poe's potentially sensitive whisker/gave me the perfect solution. Got new wide/flat plates and Poe is much less messy with eating! About: Without exception, the dog park is always one of the best parts of my day. I've had three dogs of my own, and have been around countless other dogs, most of whom instantly become my new best friends. We just gravitate to each other, hence the fuzzy friend whisperer nickname. I have a playful, loving attitude toward every dog I meet. I am also sensitive to dogs who need a little more patience and space to ease into trusting me and respect the boundaries that they need to do that. My training style with my own dogs is focused on positive reinforcement rather than punishment. This approach translates to other dogs as well, unless their owners request differently. Your dog will be in caring, responsible hands with me. They will be loved. Vogel Emergency Vet just opened right across the street from our house, so if anything kind of emergency pops up, your baby will be a hop, skip and a jump away from the care they need. I'm self employed and work mostly from home so my schedule is quite flexible. Sometimes I’ll have drop in visits throughout the day, but if your dog is boarding with me, there will generally be someone else at home with them. They’ll rarely, if ever be left alone. I live on a small farm but also live near a road, so your dog will always be safely on a leash when we go outside for potty breaks. I have a very friendly 12 year old 45lb labradoodle named Huck to keep your baby company in the rare cases that I'm not at home. I have a "squirrel observatory" (bird feeder) right near my workspace so your dog will not only be supervised most of the time but also entertained.
“Adelle has been wonderful with our boy who suffers from severe separation anxiety. He gets along great with her pups, and he is visibly excited as he gets closer to her house. He comes home absolutelt exhausted after a day at daycare with Adelle! 10/10”

“We had an excellent experience with our dog sitter, Veska. She took amazing care of Oaits and was gentle, attentive, and highly professional throughout. She made sure to understand what Oatis’ needs were by communicating with us and kept us up to date through out the stay. It was clear she genuinely cares about the animals she looks after, and we felt completely at ease knowing Oaits was in such good hands. We would absolutely recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable and compassionate dog sitter.”

“Karen is awesome. My dog was immediately at ease with her. He can be a little dicey with adults he doesn’t know, but he loved being at Karen’s house. Her yard is awesome for doggy adventures (complete with chickens to stare at). I can’t wait to bring him back for more play time!”

“Nicole was fantastic with Teddy! She gave us a tour of her home and we received multiple updates with photos throughout Teddy's stay. Teddy had a great time and really loved the fenced in backyard. Highly recommend and we'll definitely book again with Nicole!”

I’m so thankful she was able to accommodate us on such short notice and would absolutely trust her with my puppy again. Highly recommend!”

I know how important it is to trust the person caring for your furry family, so I make communication and dependability my top priorities. You’ll always know how your pet is doing, and you can relax knowing they’re in capable, compassionate hands. Pet care isn’t my side gig—it’s my full-time passion. I’ve dedicated my schedule entirely to caring for animals, which means your pets get my full attention, flexibility, and consistency every time. Experience: I've been immersed in the world of pet care since I was young, starting at the tender age of 5 when my cat Spooky had a litter of kittens. Throughout my life, I've had the pleasure of caring for pets at every stage, fostering a deep understanding of their needs and behaviors.

About: I graduated from college with a degree in Veterinary Technology. I currently work at vet hospital in Maine. I have been with animals all my life. And have two of my own. I work full time so during the week days afternoon potty time will be hard but if they can handle over 6+ hours of being alone then it will work perfectly. I would care for your animal at your house so it will be easier on your animal and not be anxious when at a new place. I will give them lots of cuddles and love. I treat them like they are my own. We will play all sorts of games too.

“Owen came to walk our big Shepsky while we were out of town. My dog loved him! Owen was reliable, friendly, and clearly really good with dogs. We will definitely use him again in the future! Thank you from Timber and us!”

About: What sets me apart as a sitter is not only my reliability, but also my lifelong experience with dogs. I grew up with a Labrador who showed me the joy of unconditional love, and I recently had to say goodbye to my sweet girl after 12 wonderful years together. She was truly family, and I cared for her through every stage of life, which gave me a deep understanding of what it means to love and look after a dog. Now, I get to share that love with my two young kids (ages 4 and 6), who absolutely adore dogs and treat every pup like their own playmate. Whether it’s long walks, cozy snuggles, or just keeping up with your dog’s daily routine, I’ll make sure your furry family member feels safe, loved, and part of our pack. Because I work full time during the week, I reserve dog care for weekends only—this way I can dedicate my attention and energy to your pup. My weekends are open for long walks, playtime, and plenty of cuddles, and my kids and I love having the extra time to focus on making each dog feel happy and cared for. By keeping my schedule this way, I can promise that your furry family member won’t just “fit into” my day—they’ll become a part of my family for the day(s). When caring for dogs, I focus on keeping them active, loved, and comfortable. My two young kids (ages 4 and 6) have endless energy and love to play, so visiting pups get plenty of attention and interaction. I live in a quiet town with lots of sidewalks and nearby neighborhoods, which makes for safe and enjoyable walks. While I don’t have a fenced-in backyard, I do have plenty of grassy space for outdoor time, and I’m happy to crate dogs if that’s part of their routine or helps them feel secure. Whether it’s playtime, exercise, or downtime, I’ll make sure your pup feels right at home.

About: Since I was a young girl I was always the family remember in charge of making sure our pets were fed, entertained, trained and given exercise. Around the age of 10 was my first time watching over our neighbors new puppy as they went on vacation. At the time I was nervous but my energetic energy matched the puppy perfectly. Currently i’m renting an apartment at my college UNH with my cat and a roommate. My neighbors who have pets continuously asked me to watch them because of how much time and energy I put into carrying for them. Sometimes I only watch them for the day when work or school takes over and other for extended periods of time. If this becomes the case I make sure to walk and entertained the pet so that they don’t feel lonely. Cat sitting in house is my most common form of cat sitting. Cats and dogs have very different needs from a sitter that I can provide with my years of experience working and owning my own pets I’m currently on summer break until August so my availability to spend time with your fur babies is very open. Keeping in mind that it is still my break there will be times in which I wish to fully experience my summer :) If there is a fenced in yard or not, I still plan to take pups on daily leash walks to ensure safety of the both of us. Ultimately whatever the client feels most comfortable and confident with I will ensure to use those methods. This can include crate use, specific walk routes, specific animal preferences and more.
“Sarah has been walking Jenny weekly for a month or so now in the middle of the day. She has been lovely, and taken Jenny on adventures around town. Sarah has also been flexible when my schedule has changed which I appreciate. I will definitely be booking again!”

I was already anxious about leaving them with someone new and they went above and beyond. They sent pictures and messages throughout the day. One of my dogs was having a paw issue with his nail and they took care of him and all the needs that came along with it. I will be recommending them to everyone I know and will for sure book with them again!!”

“Leaving our dog with a sitter through Rover for the first time was very nerve wracking but Joshua reassured us from the meet and greet to the very end of our vacation. He sent us updates everyday and communication was top tier. I would book with Joshua again. Highly recommend!”

“Michelle was great, boarding our large dog. Took care of him as family. Frequent walks, fenced yard. Photos throughout the day. Michelle demonstrates care and compassion for our pup.”

About: I've had large dogs my entire life, including a special needs dog and police-trained K9 dogs. I have owned and operated a farm hotel in Brazil for the past 5 years, where I was the primary responsible for all daily care, injections, medical treatments and behavioral work with the animals (5 large dogs and multiple farm animals), so am very comfortable administering any special care your animal may need. I have also rescued & fostered nearly a dozen dogs from the street and helped them find forever homes. I love all animals and understand each one is different with unique personalities. The pics on my profile are from my farm. I work from home which allows me to always be present to keep your pet company, and love taking small cuddle, walk and play breaks throughout the day to break up my desk routine. Having extra dogs is the perfect excuse to stretch my legs! I live alone in a spacious apartment downtown Portsmouth where I can board up to 2 large dogs or 3 small dogs at a time. I am only a 5min walk from the Mill Pond dog park and can take your dog for several walks throughout the day. I can also crate your dog if they prefer it. I can administer medication and provide any special treatment necessary. I treat all pets as my own, like members of my family.
“Caroline and Gerry took wonderful care of Coda. They were friendly and thoughtful and very willing to help when my original flight was cancelled. It was great to have peace of mind that he was in such great hands.”

“Diamond was absolutely amazing with our dog, and we truly could not have asked for a better sitter. From the moment we met her, we felt completely at ease knowing our pup was in loving, caring, and responsible hands. She went above and beyond with updates, attention, and genuine care, and it was clear our dog was happy, comfortable, and well-loved the entire time. What really stood out was her kindness, patience, and professionalism. She treated our dog like family, and that means everything to us. Coming home to a happy, relaxed pup says it all. We are beyond grateful for Diamond and would trust her again in a heartbeat. If you are looking for someone dependable, compassionate, and truly wonderful with animals, Diamond is the one. We would absolutely love to book with her again in the future!”
