Dog Sitting in New Paltz

About: I've been pet sitting since I was 11 years old, and every year I love my job more. I've looked after dogs, cats, hamsters, guinea pigs, fish and one delightful macaw, and each one I've fallen in love with like they were my own. I enjoy finding what makes every pet happy; does your dog need to sleep clutching her blanket or does your guinea pig brandish hay like it's a sword? No problem. Every animal is unique. I can't wait to meet yours! Important: I do not accept bookings without seeing the house / meeting you & your pets beforehand. This is both for my safety and for your pets’ safety. I am currently a college student, so I am most free on the weekends and nights after 6. Though I'm busy, please believe I will make every effort to be there for you and your pet if you need me. From May to August and mid December to late January, I am free almost all of the time. I do not care for pets in my own home, as there is not enough space, but if I am hired to care for a pet in your home, I will of course respect whatever rules you have for your space. Some clients prefer me to spend time at their houses and "make myself at home" as it were to keep their pet company; some prefer I only stick to my specific jobs. Whichever you prefer, that's completely fine.

About: I've taken care and trained dogs since I was a kid. Started as soon as I was strong enough to walk my sister's Doberman. I currently have a German Shepherd named Sofia. I am willing to drop in at your house, feed, walk, etc... I'm currently working, but can stop by morning and/or night. I drive to/from Kingston and New Paltz every day. Can walk, feed, stay and play. I'm reliable, gentle and trustworthy, dogs are comfortable with me quickly. I've trained a beagle, a collie and German shepherd. I will always follow what dog owner wants.

About: I am currently a vet-tech student. I am fear-free certified. I know the scramble for pet care and how scary it can be to trust someone new with your pets. I hope to ease those fears and you can know your pet is getting the care they need. I am currently a student so my schedule varies, and I am looking for a part time job to fill in some gaps. This would also provide me the flexibility ot take on pet-care when my schedule allows so that the care level is never compromised. I will adhere to any rules or weird quirks your pet may have developed. For example growing up our dog would only eat if you made him think it was cooked the same way human food was cooked. We had to do a whole thing on the stove to seem like we were stirring it to fully cooked. I will always be mindful of any openings in yards and be sure they're closed off or that the pet is leashed properly before any door is opened.

About: I really love being around animals as they bring a lot of joy. Over the years I have pet sat for various family friends, co-workers, colleagues, and friends of friends pets. While pet sitting not only have I been responsible to feed the pets, give them water, let them out to relieve themselves, clean up after the pets, and take them out for a walk but I also have looked after the house. Additionally, I have been working for a company so couples beloved dogs can attend their weddings. Previously, I have volunteered by fostering dogs and dog walking. I am available most weekends and off most holidays. I do work full time so if it is anything during the week I do not get home until after 5 pm. Anything during the week I need to know ahead of time so I can plan accordingly. I would care for your pets as one of my own. I am flexible and come to your pets home so they are comfortable in their own environment.

About: Hi, My name is Max! I am a sophomore in college hoping to get my bachelor’s degree in biology! I’m a huge animal lover!! I have played basketball for my whole life up until this year so I love to get outside and throw the tennis ball or kick the soccer ball with my sweet doggo! I’ve always grown up surrounded by so many pets which makes me want to pursue being a Vet! I have a dog of my own, Buddy and one other dogs in the house named Sheena I’ve volunteered for many shelters and I’ve loved every second of it. I’ve also pet sat for a lot of family and friends when they’ve gone out of town. I couldn’t imagine my life not being surrounded by furry friends so, I can’t wait to meet you and your pet family! I have a fenced in yard and two friendly dogs to keep your dog company and I have a huge yard and a pool if your dogs love swimming.

About: I’ve had dogs and cats for the last 10 years, and my friends and neighbors have trusted me to walk and feed their pets too! I love cats and dogs of all kinds! I work Wednesday-Monday during the day so I can walk, feed, or play with pets in the afternoons and evenings or I can house sit overnight. I am used to high-energy dogs and cats that need someone to play with and get their energy out, or to take them for a long walk.

About: I love all animals and walking dogs is one of my favorite things to do! With lots of patience and experience with two dogs of my own and 10+ years of pet care experience, I’m prepared to help with dogs with all different needs. 6am-5pm and 8pm-10pm daily. I have pretty open availability, but early in the morning or at night is best for me and my schedule. I can make other times work depending on my schedule that week. I cannot take pets into my home because of my dogs, but in other people’s homes I would follow their directions completely and do my best to make sure them as comfortable as possible.

About: Hello, I’ve been taking care of pets since I was 11 years old. From dogs, cats, reptiles, fish, you name it! I’ve trained many puppies and love everyone’s furry friends. Fun Fact my dog at home is scared of thunder, so I always sit in the bathtub with him until he’s ready to come out (photo included) I’ve also babysat and house sat for many years :) I have maximum 2 one hour classes a day with a 3 hour gap in between! So there will be plenty of time for me to take care of your furry friends!!! I live in a single room on campus with loads of space and two beds if the pets want to have a comfy space. When I have to leave for a class I play zen pet music to help calm them down if I have to leave!

About: I’ve been around animals my entire life, and I’ve always had a passion for pet care. I currently have a dog and a cat, and in the past I’ve even had a horse. When my friends or family need pet care I am the first person they turn to. I’ve also had experience caring for dogs who need daily medication. I’m studying biology and interested in going into an animal related field in the future! I am a full time student, so I’m mostly available in the afternoons and evenings, with a few exceptions. Weekends I’m available any time of the day. It is my promise that your pets will not be left unattended or neglected at any point and I understand the responsibility I hold while taking care of them.

About: I've had or taken care of dogs since I was a child. I just love dogs, of all kinds. Currently I own a 6.5 year old lovely, playful, and friendly 37 pound Standard Schnauzer. It would be our pleasure to take care of your pooch during the day or overnight. I can take your pooch for walks every couple of hours, and also take him/her to dog park with my dog......or both. I am retired and your dog will have my full attention. I will take a puppy over 6 months old as long as they are house trained. I am not able to take your dog if they show any hostility/aggression to other dogs or people. Sorry, I do not take Pit Bulls. I generally take dogs 50 pounds or under; I will take a larger dog if I am confident that they are friendly with other dogs and people; I cannot take a dog with any signs of aggressive behavior. My preference is dogs between 25 to 50 pounds. I will care for your dog if they are under 25 or over 50 as longs as they are not aggressive and not incessant barkers; if they are either of these it will not be a good fit. They must be at least minimally trained to sit, stay, and come on command. I am retired, and your dog will have my full attention while staying with me. I will make sure your pooch gets as much play, and rest, as you would like. My home is 1 floor and 1800 square feet. I live on a quiet tree lined street, and I have a large fenced in back yard. I’m retired and am available almost all the time to give your pooch as much care and attention as needed. Just let me know what your pooch needs. I only watch one dog at a time, which is why my rate is higher; your pooch will get my full attention. II will make sure your pet is comfortable in my home, and walk and run him/her as much as you want. Just know your pooch will be in good hands with me.

About: I’ve taken care of dogs and cats since I was a child, and neighbors, family members, and clients have relied on me to walk, feed, and supervise their pets. I have dogwalked and petsit for many different households and love caring for animals and keeping them company. I’m currently working part-time, so I have plenty of time for dogwalking and other pet caretaking needs. I can also pet and housesit on weekends if needed. For dogs, I love to take them on a stroll through the park. If you’d like, I can run with them and provide exercise activities. I can also drop by and feed your pets if need be, and I’m flexible according to your needs!

About: I've owned a small dogwalking/pet sitting business since 1999. I(Maria) am CPDT-KA certified in dog training as well. I've worked with all breeds of dogs, ages with many different dispositions. My husband & I moved from Brooklyn(where we had our biz since 2006) to New Paltz this summer. We are continuing to do personal & very limited boarding in our new home. I(Maria) am also offering private training sessions(in your home) . I specialize in puppy or newly adopted pups/dogs. Doggie care is part of my daily routine. I have 2 dogs of my own, both less energy less days, but still enjoy getting their walks & sniffs in. The very limited boarding means your dogs stay with our family, always supervised & leashed outside. We have many dogs beds but can bring your own.
