Dog Boarding in New Paltz

About: I have taken care of, owned, and loved all kinds of pets, including dogs, cats, hedgehogs, guinea pigs, mice, rats, hamsters, and a chameleon! Neighbors have had me take care of their animals while they have been away, and my experiences have always been wonderful. I was also a longtime owner of a German Shepherd (14 years). My shepherd has recently passed, and I have not been ready to own a new pet, but I have missed having the company of a furry friend! I am very experienced in senior pet care. Large breeds also very welcome! My profile here says I have cats in the home--I actually do not! Just cannot figure out how to change that :P I am currently a full time student, but my schedule is very open! I typically have hour breaks in between my classes, so I have plenty of time to stay home with a critter :) My class schedule also lends me a few days off, and sometimes I just have a single hour long class a day. I have a comfortable yard to play with a dog, and a spacious home for time inside. There are many locations for walks near me as well, with all sorts of new smells for your pet to explore!

About: I grew up around dogs, so caring for them comes naturally to me. I’ve helped take care of my friends’ dogs, including Pip, whom I’ve watched since he was a puppy, and Martha, a more senior dog. I’ve handled walking, feeding, playtime, and just generally making sure they’re comfortable and well cared for. I’m very responsible and understand how important it is to trust someone with your pet. I take that responsibility seriously and treat every dog as if they were my own. It means a lot to me to be given the opportunity to care for your furry friend. : ) I’m in university at the moment, so my schedule is pretty open. If there’s a particular time that you’re looking for, feel free to let me know and we can work something out! I live in a single on campus, with a decently sized room for any small or medium sized doggies, and there is a fenced in track behind my building/apartment if they wanna just run around with me for a while.

Maria has a particularly good arrangement and process for gradually acclimating guest cats to a residence, especially one with other felines. As the only pet in our household, Bella's very curious about other cats. The updates and photos show that she was enjoying the run of the house within the first couple days and getting along with the other cats and dogs. It says a lot about the family's skill in creating a comfortable atmosphere for their own pets and boarders alike. Highly recommended.”
