“Shana was just wonderful and really helped us out! Since we are not from the area, she went above and beyond and was just a joy. She is very kind and gentle and you immediately know you can trust her. And professional at the same time. I wish we did live closer so we could continue but hopefully will again. I can’t tell you how much it helped for her to be there for our Taj (12 yo shihtzu)...he was great with her and she did everything to make him comfortable. She is so flexible and accommodating. About: I grew up around dogs, so caring for them comes naturally to me. I’ve helped take care of my friends’ dogs, including Pip, whom I’ve watched since he was a puppy, and Martha, a more senior dog. I’ve handled walking, feeding, playtime, and just generally making sure they’re comfortable and well cared for. I’m very responsible and understand how important it is to trust someone with your pet. I take that responsibility seriously and treat every dog as if they were my own. It means a lot to me to be given the opportunity to care for your furry friend. : ) I actually just graduated from university, but I can be flexible with my schedule depending on what you and your doggie needs. If there’s a particular time that you’re looking for, feel free to let me know and we can work something out! I live in a single on campus, with a decently sized room for any small or medium sized doggies, and there is a fenced in track behind my building/apartment if they wanna just run around with me for a while.

About: I have had my own dog, Stella, for 2 years, since she was a puppy. I frequently babysit my neighbor's dog, Mako, who is a 6 month old puppy. I know the ins and outs of watching, feeding, and entertaining dogs. Additionally I previously worked at an animal shelter where I was responsible for multiple dogs at the same time. My dog gets walked and fed at around 6 am, then walked again at 11-12 am depending on if she peed or pooped or both prior. Then she gets walked at 5 pm before dinner, and again before bed at around 8-9 pm. She usually gets 10-15 minute walks each time depending on how long it takes for her to do her business and play. I will take care of all my responsibilities in a timely and thorough manner. I understand that dogs are family members and they need to be treated with love, patience and care and I also understand how much trust you are putting in me to take care of your pet.

About: I have experience with dogs, cats, guinea pigs, and reptiles. I had two guinea pigs, I have taken care of a few of my friends dogs and cats, I have taken care of another friend’s leopard gecko and I am okay with feeding live prey to pets. I am currently a student at SUNY New Paltz and I am studying Communications there. I will be available from May-August when the Spring 2024 semester ends. I can be trusted with the care of your pets because I love all animals. I am also a very compassionate person and always tend to others needs

About: I’ve walked dogs and pet-sit for friends, neighbors, and families for years, and have been sitting on Rover for about a year! I’ve walked big, small, old, and young dogs. My dog, Bailey, is a senior and is blind, and needs a variety of different medications so I am well versed and comfortable with disabled dogs/dogs that need medication. I am a full time student at SUNY New Paltz studying geology. Because of this, I will be able to work before, after, or in between different classes! Message me about specific availability :) I always make sure that all leashes and collars are secure before walking. I can give food, water, snacks, and different medications as needed! I can also play outside or indoors with them, and can create fun enrichment toys for them!

“Kate spent time with our very nervous rescue dog this past weekend. Kate is calm and sweet and she made progress with Foxy over the two days. It is hard to leave a nervous dog but we felt that Foxy was in great hands. We were so grateful for the reports and photos Kate sent. We will definitely be booking with her again.”

About: I have grown up with dogs and cats my whole life, so I understand that they need lots of love and care. I love animals and I think it’s very important for dogs to get exercise, so it is important that they get as much time as possible walking and going to parks. Playing with dogs is apart of their well-being and yours! I think that dogs and cats make people much happier and because of that it is our job to keep them happy and healthy. This means feeding them, playing with them, petting them, and watching out for them. I have volunteered at two animal shelters in the past, worked for a company called Bark, and have dog and cat sit for friends before. I am kind and responsible and would love to spend time with your animals. I am available every day/night except Saturdays. I work late on Saturdays but could still come in the morning, and can still go by in the evenings as long as your animal doesn’t have a super specific set meal time at night. I will be respectful of your belongings and your space. I will make sure their water is always full, and to follow your instructions on the best way to care for them.
