About: Dogs have always been cherished members of my family for my whole life. I grew up caring for our family pups (Sammy, River, Indy, Sirius, and the newest addition, Loki!) from their puppyhood through their senior golden years. When I was 12, I began caring for the dogs and cats in my neighborhood. I am experienced with dogs of all ages and sizes (I grew up with border collie/lab mixes, a great dane/pit/lab mix, and an aussie shepherd), and have extensive experience caring for more than one dog (or cat!) at a time. Since then, I have cared for dogs and cats across the Hudson Valley and NYC. Since I have no pets of my own because of my apartment size, I will treat yours as if they were my own and they will get all the care and attention they need while you are away. I also offer pet portraits and would be happy to talk with you about that further if you're interested. Every moment I get to spend with an animal is so special to me and I would be so grateful for the opportunity to share that love with you and your pup. Because every dog is different and you know your dog best, I follow your instructions carefully and guarantee open, prompt communication with you. I am very comfortable crating your dog if you need and happy caring for more than one. I know it can be hard to leave your pet in the care of someone else (Ive been there!) and so Im committed to making sure you feel comfortable and confident by building trust between you, your pup, and me…we got this!

About: I have done lots of pet sitting in my lifetime. I have mostly worked with cats and dogs but I also have taken care of rabbits, Guinea pigs, and even alpacas! I love all animals and would love to help out in any way I can! I do also have a small Boston terrier who is special needs. She is extremely loving and friendly. I am currently free 24/7 365 days! I am available for any and all pet needs! I am able to provide walks and stay at any home needed! I have a nice single bedroom apartment! The rail trail is close to me so I can walk them along that for nice outside exercise. There is lots of love to be shared!

About: I’ve had and also taken care of dogs my entire life. Whether it be my own, family or friends. I currently have a 13 year old dog at home so I am experienced with senior care. Although I am currently working part time, I still have plenty of time to watch, play with and take care of your fur baby. I am available for boarding on weekdays and weekends after 5pm. I have a fenced in area in my yard and a senior dog who is lovable, friendly and good with other dogs. I frequently take my dog on car rides and to the pet store and would be happy to do the same for your fur baby. I can also crate and walk your dog if needed!

I am now a full time student furthering my career. I have served clients across Ulster and Delaware county. I’m comfortable, reliable, and dedicated to giving every animal the attention, patience, and care they deserve. I genuinely enjoy meeting and caring for all types of animals, and I look forward to caring for yours! (: I’m currently in school- looking to graduate very soon. My availability is pretty flexible and I will be more than willing to work around my schedule to fit your fur babies needs. I feed them, clean up after them, give them medication if needed, bathe them, walk them as often as needed. If your animal is on a schedule of any kind, it will be cared for accordingly.

About: I am currently a vet-tech student. I am fear-free certified. I know the scramble for pet care and how scary it can be to trust someone new with your pets. I hope to ease those fears and you can know your pet is getting the care they need. I am currently a student so my schedule varies, and I am looking for a part time job to fill in some gaps. This would also provide me the flexibility ot take on pet-care when my schedule allows so that the care level is never compromised. I will adhere to any rules or weird quirks your pet may have developed. For example growing up our dog would only eat if you made him think it was cooked the same way human food was cooked. We had to do a whole thing on the stove to seem like we were stirring it to fully cooked. I will always be mindful of any openings in yards and be sure they're closed off or that the pet is leashed properly before any door is opened.

About: As a social worker, I'm highly attuned to both human and animal needs/issues, and love getting to know and cater to unique personalities - or provide loving care for those who are ill or have special needs. I started taking care of neighbors' pets at an early age and though we only had fish and birds and a cat at home, dogs and other animals became a special love of mine. I have been cat, dog, bird and other little furry friend sitting for over four decades and have done so for several years as a 5 star sitter on Trusted Housesitters. I love making new furry friends, both for sharing my positive, attentive energy with them, and for nourishing in the innocent sweet playfulness they often offer. I’ve often been told that other than happy pets, there was no sign I had even been there! I am currently freelancing/focusing my time on writing projects so I often have a flexible schedule....and love taking work breaks with furry friends! A veteran 5-start pet-sitter, I am new to Rover and am figuring out how the calendar and geography works so it can reflect where I am and when I'm available. Most folks comment that they can barely tell I've been there. Cleanliness, respect, and loving care are my hallmarks. I make sure to honor any requests and instructions for people's homes, which often have quirks and special needs -- and to of course respect privacy too, just as I would as a social worker. As for furry friends, they get exceptional, reliable, patient, playful, caring energy from me while I make sure that all their food, litter, or other needs are met.

About: I've had dogs of all ages all my life and think they are the 👌 👍 😍 🥰. I've boarded very senor dogs as well as young furry critters I'm a retired teacher so that I'm able to be free much of the time. I'm also a working artist and my studio is in my home. I have a bright house with a good sized fenced-in back yard. My home is near parks and conveniently located. The neighborhood is super-quiet with doggy friendly folk.

About: I didn’t get to experience the joy of growing up with dogs or cats but as soon as I was able I began taking in fosters from the NYC shelter system. It was quite a learning experience spending time with many dogs (and a few cats) of all different types and personalities. I no longer foster but I bring the experience and dedication from working with so many shelter pets to caring for your furry family members. And as a pet parent now myself I have been through many sitters so I understand what makes a good one! A note on boarding and meet and greets: I’m happy to have boarding candidates come by to meet me and check out the space but I do not do meet and greets with my own dogs. My dogs are dog friendly but they are too chaotic and excitable to meet new dogs and owners right away. New dogs are kept separate at first and introduced at their own pace when everyone is calm. This minimizes stress for everyone and allows for better interactions. I currently work out of the house Monday/Wednesday/Friday but my schedule is somewhat flexible. The rest of the week I work at home and I am often available all weekend. Dogs in my home have access to a securely fenced large yard for running and fetch, as well as a quiet neighborhood for walks. If the weather is warm dogs have access to a dog door so they may go outside as they please. If your dog likes to play with other dogs mine will certainly be happy to accommodate but they can also have separate spaces if quiet time is needed. In your home I will make every effort to keep your pets schedule as familiar as possible while offering lots of love and stimulation. As someone who has had many sitters come through and stay at my house I understand the importance of trust and cleanliness so you can be away without worry.
