About: Hi! My name is Andrea. I have lived in the Hudson Valley for almost 4 years now, and have been working in the area off and on since 2014. I live with my partner, Mike, and precious pups Kona and Desi. I have always lived with dogs. About: Aside from growing up caring for animals, I’ve worked at a dog daycare for about a year. During my time there I learned a lot about dog behavior and how to read their body language. About: I adore animals. I have grown up with cats and dogs my entire life. When I did not have a pet of my own I always have asked friends and family to take care of their pets when in need. People have always relied on me with their animals as they know I show love and I am very attentive. I have mostly trained my young puppy who has a lot of energy, with the help of a few wonderful sitters. I understand behavioral training, being kind but firm. Teaching with kindness and showing the animals the way rather than teaching in fear. I give a lot of attention and am able to read their body language well. I work freelance so I am available intermittently. But when I am available for sitting I am present to give the animal full time care, so if you have an animal who has separation anxiety and doesn't I take the dogs out first thing in the morning for an hour sometimes even 2 hour run in the park. a few small walks in the day and another longer walk or run in the afternoon. I also love to take the dogs on hikes. I do not have a crate as I did not do crate training with my dog but if you want to provide one I am happy to. My apartment is puppy/dog proof. I have a big yard although it is not fenced on one side so I always watch the dogs when I am out there. I have a nice big dog park near my place.
