“I recently hired Vicki through Rover to watch over my three cats while I was away. Vicki was very attentive and made sure to follow my instructions carefully, especially for my cat who requires twice-daily medication. She communicated regularly, sending updates and photos, which helped ease my mind while I was away. The other two cats were also well cared for and seemed happy and relaxed upon my return. I appreciate her professionalism and would recommend Vicki’s services to other pet owners looking for reliable care for their furry friends.”

“Grettel was reliable and communicative! And most importantly, my dog, who can be a little nervous around new people, took to Grettel right away and was super comfortable. Would highly recommend Grettel for caring for your animals.”

“Alexandra truly went above and beyond for our first sit. Attentive, thoughtful, and prompt. Kida was her normal, happy self when I arrived back from a 5 day trip - all down to Alexandra’s amazing care!”

“My dog immediately bonded to Rose as soon as she walked into the house. She has an incredible way with dogs, and a deep knowledge of their behavior and needs. She is a true dog lover! I feel grateful that we found her, as it is such a relief to know there is someone who can take great care of our canine family member when we cannot be around.”

About: Hello! :) I love animals, dogs, cats, fish, pocket pets, exotic, etc.! I have extensive experience with cats and have been with cats my whole life and I have been told many a times that I am a very fast learner for anything I have not done before. In 2025 I completed the "Pet Sitting, Training, Grooming Microcredential" at SUNY Ulster. The Microcredential included the following classes; Pet CPR & First Aid, Behavior Medicine for Animals, and Restraint and Handling. As of 11/01/2024 I am certified in Pet CPR by RECOVER and ACVECC. And as of 02/23/2025 I have a certificate of Completion in the Fear Free certificate program by Fear Free Leaders in Animal Wellbeing. I am currently a student at SUNY New Paltz and as it is now summer break i am available 24/7. When I am not in New Paltz I live in Kingston with my parents and two cats, Pilot and Trixie. I will make sure your pets get lots of play time while you are away. I can take pets on walks, water plants, get mail, clean up messes, etc depending on what you need. And I have no problem complying with any weird quirks your pets have. (My cats have some very specific games they like). I also like to report back on what we did, anything that is possibly out of the ordinary, and of course I can send pictures!
“Katherine was great! Grey and Bunny seemed to really like her, she was very communicative and sent pictures! Will definitely have her watch the critters again in the future!”

About: My care for animals is rooted in my nature. I have spent 28 years loving and caring for dogs, cats, and livestock like sheep and goats. I currently volunteer at the Ulster County SPCA weekly doing dog and cat socialization. I bring genuine passion, care, and patience to each pet that is in my care. I am available for pet visits and walks from 6am to 11am and 8:30pm to 10:30pm during the week. My availability on the weekends is much more flexible. Let’s chat and come up with a plan. With over two decades of animal experience, I know that trust is earned, not assumed. I take time to read each pet’s cues, honor their boundaries, and follow your established routines. Your home environment stays calm and consistent, your dog’s walk stays safe and controlled, and your cat always has the space they need to feel secure.
“Victoria was incredibly reliable, caring, and clearly experienced with dogs. Our dog was always excited to see her, and we felt completely comfortable knowing he was in such good hands.”

“Melissa went above and beyond in caring for our cat. She took plenty of pictures and gave us detailed reports about his activities and general disposition (and she won him over, when he’s been known to hiss at other sitters!). We told her his litter box could probably wait to be scooped until we returned, but she diligently checked it to make sure he was using it every day, and she cleaned it in the process. We just felt like we were in the best possible hands, and it was such peace of mind while we were away. What a kind, responsible, and trustworthy person. The Mary Poppins of the animal kingdom!”

“Emily was absolutely wonderful! My 11 year old cat was snuggling with her when she visited. Emily took great care of my baby and sent me photos and videos of her when I was traveling. I highly recommend Emily and will definitely reach out to her next time we go away!”

“TY Jen! My three cats were a handful (e.g. knocking over a vase, pulling things off of a shelf, digging dirt out of a plant, throwing up)! Jen fixed everything up and took wonderful care of them. They are all super shy, but warmed right up to her. Jen gave wonderful detailed feedback for each visit and was super quick to respond whenever we chatted. She played with them and pet them after dealing with food, cat boxes, and water. I felt very much at ease with her caring for them and I will definitely ask if she would watch them again in the future. Hopefully, they'll be more well behaved. I highly recommend her!”

About: I've cared for many cats and dogs, from pit bulls to terriers to English bulldogs. I have experience with puppy training, senior dog care, and oral medication administration. I'm a patient and compassionate pet owner, and I promise to treat your fur babies with the same love and care I would my own. I'm also a graduate music student in case your pet might want to be serenaded by a french horn :) I'm a musician and graduate student at Bard. My schedule changes quite a bit, but I always have a good idea of what my schedule will look well in advance. In addition, I am generally free most mornings, and can often be flexible. I'm very happy to provide your dog(s) with walks, food, brushing, bathing, and medication. I love to play fetch with dogs, go on walks or hikes, visit dog parks, cuddle, practice tricks, or any other enriching activity. With cats, I love to cuddle, play, and practice or try new tricks with treats.
“Such a late request to have my pup be watched, but Monica was ready and willing!! He was well taken care of and the photos prove it. Happy he was able to get some frisbee time :)”

“Bridget went above and beyond to take care of our cat while we were away on a trip. Communication with Bridget was great and we were able to trust that our cat was in great hands. We will definitely be booking with her again!”

“Our first few visits with Katherine went great! My typically very shy senior boy was immediately very comfortable with her which was such a nice surprise. We will definitely continue to book with Katherine :)”
“Laianna is truly such a find! She is professional, patient, kind and very thorough! I COULD NOT RECOMMEND HER MORE! Our dog can be scared of new people, but Laianna took her time, and they became fast friends!”
“Linda was such a wonderful sitter for my little Lulu. Usually Lu is a bit crazy after I come back from a trip and she was calm as can be. I attribute that Linda’s warm presence as much as her care.”

“Kacey did a great job taking care of my kitties. The cats liked her during the meet and great and I am happy they are well cared for in my absence. I will be definitely continue to book her when I am traveling.”
