About: I've been surrounded by and taken care of animals my entire life, and I want to be your new trustworthy pet sitter or dog walker! I have a standard poodle named Remy and maine coon cat named Bash at home, and they are my everything. I've fostered kittens (as young as 2.5 weeks old) for six years now and have been a petsitter for longer. I'm great with people and even better with cats and dogs. I want to keep your pets safe and happy, and you worry-free! I can administer medicine, trim nails, walk any size dog, clean, monitor urine and stool output, keep track of mood and general signs for concern, and I love sending cute update pictures so you know your pets are thriving! I'm currently in my last clinical to get my master's in occupational therapy, and I'm working at a hospital 5 days a week. I can pet-sit before, after, overnight, or just walk your pets or check in if needed! I'm great at following directions and problem-solving, and I'll do whatever I can to make sure you're comfortable with me entering your home to care for your pets. I understand different types of collars, leashes, and equipment needed to guarantee a pet's safety. I am very aware of my surroundings and good at reading a pet's energy and potential reactivity. I've had animals my entire life, so closing the door quickly and not letting pets out is second nature to me. I know your pets are your family, and I will treat them as such!
“Our first few visits with Katherine went great! My typically very shy senior boy was immediately very comfortable with her which was such a nice surprise. We will definitely continue to book with Katherine :)”
About: I will keep you updated throughout the day letting you know how your pet is doing. If you'd like, I can even send you pictures showing how happy your pet is. I freelance in film production which allows me to be flexible with days and time. I have a wired sleeping schedule too which will allow me to go whenever to watch your pet. I make sure my roommates dog is always walked, fed, loved, played with, and above all, has water. I have a natural caring gift for all animals.
“Jules was excellent! Highly recommend her. She watched our Billie Boy (cat) for several weeks. Giving us updates on him, taking great care of him! He’s a shy guy but slowly started to warm up to her. She brought in our mail, packages and even cleaned the snow off our porch!! A+++”

“Such a late request to have my pup be watched, but Monica was ready and willing!! He was well taken care of and the photos prove it. Happy he was able to get some frisbee time :)”

About: I’ve always had pets throughout my lifetime from kitties, dogs, birds, fish, reptiles, squirrels that I hand fed and set free with my father- and many more. I worked in pet stores and help foster kittens when available. 💕 Look forward to meeting you soon. I work part time as a territory supervisor, and my work is flexible. I’m home every night and throughout the day leaving me with much time to care for your pets. I’ve given medications and feed depending on preference of pet and client. Each pet is unique to their way of being and I like to match the energy needed.

“Sofia and her husband Arsen did a wonderful job looking after my 5 cats. One of them is a very high maintenance rescued Himalayan. His coat looked better than it did when I left and his eyes were well cleaned. The other four were happy and well fed.”

“Kimberly is an experienced dog trainer who has a lot of patience. Our puppy, Jack, is currently fearful of new people, but Kim really took her time getting him to warm up to her. She was able to take him on walks while being communicative with us throughout. It was great going into the weekend knowing he was in good hands. Highly recommend!”

About: Cat lover, I have a cat for 17years I also grew up on farm with dogs, cats, horses, goats, cows, a lizard… I normally work in healthcare, I am a certified nurse aid and Certified EMT… Mental health and health science degree At this time I am looking a chance to make extra funds with flexibility as I have recently adopted my two foster children, that have been with me for the last four years. And look forward to providing excellent pet care/services to those in need.
About: My care for animals is rooted in my nature. I have spent 28 years loving and caring for dogs, cats, and livestock like sheep and goats. I currently volunteer at the Ulster County SPCA weekly doing dog and cat socialization. I bring genuine passion, care, and patience to each pet that is in my care. I am available for pet visits and walks from 6am to 11am and 8:30pm to 10:30pm during the week. My availability on the weekends is much more flexible. Let’s chat and come up with a plan. With over two decades of animal experience, I know that trust is earned, not assumed. I take time to read each pet’s cues, honor their boundaries, and follow your established routines. Your home environment stays calm and consistent, your dog’s walk stays safe and controlled, and your cat always has the space they need to feel secure.
“Elizabeth is a perfect communicator and made me feel my cat was in great hands the week I was away. I could tell from her reports that she really understood and appreciated my cat, and that they had a really nice time together. I give Elizabeth my highest recommendation, and will definitely be reaching back out to her when I'm next out of town!”

About: I've had dogs of all ages all my life and think they are the 👌 👍 😍 🥰. I've boarded very senor dogs as well as young furry critters I'm a retired teacher so that I'm able to be free much of the time. I'm also a working artist and my studio is in my home. I have a bright house with a good sized fenced-in back yard. My home is near parks and conveniently located. The neighborhood is super-quiet with doggy friendly folk.
About: I have always had a special connection with dogs. I grew up with dogs and treated them like part of the family. I have been primarily working as a pet nanny for 5 years for someone who traveled to Europe on a monthly basis. They are staying in Europe indefinitely so I am looking to add some new clients. I can offer your dogs fun playtime and a sense of stability by caring for them in their own environment. I am also available for walks and drop in visits. I send pictures and updates daily. Your best friend will be spoiled and pampered with me. I have a very flexible schedule with plenty of availability as this is my main job. I can also do long term sitting up to 6 weeks if necessary. I am responsible and professional and respectful in your home. Besides caring for your pets, I am happy to pick up mail and water plants.
“Laianna is truly such a find! She is professional, patient, kind and very thorough! I COULD NOT RECOMMEND HER MORE! Our dog can be scared of new people, but Laianna took her time, and they became fast friends!”

About: I didn’t get to experience the joy of growing up with dogs or cats but as soon as I was able I began taking in fosters from the NYC shelter system. It was quite a learning experience spending time with many dogs (and a few cats) of all different types and personalities. I no longer foster but I bring the experience and dedication from working with so many shelter pets to caring for your furry family members. And as a pet parent now myself I have been through many sitters so I understand what makes a good one! A note on boarding and meet and greets: I’m happy to have boarding candidates come by to meet me and check out the space but I do not do meet and greets with my own dogs. My dogs are dog friendly but they are too chaotic and excitable to meet new dogs and owners right away. New dogs are kept separate at first and introduced at their own pace when everyone is calm. This minimizes stress for everyone and allows for better interactions. I currently work out of the house Monday/Wednesday/Friday but my schedule is somewhat flexible. The rest of the week I work at home and I am often available all weekend. Dogs in my home have access to a securely fenced large yard for running and fetch, as well as a quiet neighborhood for walks. If the weather is warm dogs have access to a dog door so they may go outside as they please. If your dog likes to play with other dogs mine will certainly be happy to accommodate but they can also have separate spaces if quiet time is needed. In your home I will make every effort to keep your pets schedule as familiar as possible while offering lots of love and stimulation. As someone who has had many sitters come through and stay at my house I understand the importance of trust and cleanliness so you can be away without worry.

About: I have 15 years of experience providing reliable, loving pet care for dogs, cats, rabbits, guinea pigs, and even alpacas. I specialize in overnight house sitting, where I stay at your home so your pets can remain comfortable in their own environment. I offer two levels overnight/house-stay care: • Standard House Sitting – I stay overnight and handle all morning and evening care. I’m usually able to step out for a few hours during the day. • Full-Day Presence – I stay at your home for most or all of the day in addition to overnight care. This option is priced higher to reflect the increased time commitment and is ideal for puppies, seniors, anxious pets, or when you prefer someone present the majority of the time. I have personal experience with special-needs dogs and am comfortable administering medication, caring for senior pets, and giving extra patience when needed. I’m available 24/7 and always send photo and video updates throughout the stay so you know your pets are doing well. I truly love animals and treat every pet like my own. If you’re looking for dependable overnight care with the option for more daytime presence when needed, I’d be happy to help. I am currently free 24/7 365 days! I am available for any and all pet needs! I am able to provide walks and stay at any home needed! I have a nice single bedroom apartment! The rail trail is close to me so I can walk them along that for nice outside exercise. There is lots of love to be shared! IMPORTANT BELOW 👇🏼 For any overnight stays I will tend to have my partner/fiancé with me. He comes to all my meet and greets as currently we just have one car for right now. His name is Ken.
About: I used to be a veterinary assistant-Which gave me valuable exposure to animal handling, basic health procedures, and staying calm in stressful situations. I am now a full time student furthering my career. I have served clients across Ulster and Delaware county. I’m comfortable, reliable, and dedicated to giving every animal the attention, patience, and care they deserve. I genuinely enjoy meeting and caring for all types of animals, and I look forward to caring for yours! (: I’m currently in school- looking to graduate very soon. My availability is pretty flexible and I will be more than willing to work around my schedule to fit your fur babies needs. I feed them, clean up after them, give them medication if needed, bathe them, walk them as often as needed. If your animal is on a schedule of any kind, it will be cared for accordingly.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
While Rover doesn’t offer traditional subscription services, some sitters offer recurring bookings for services like home visits and dog walking. Recurring services come with their own perks, such as flexibility to modify services (up to five weeks in advance), automatic billing, Rover Card updates, and same-day cancellations.
To find sitters in Ruby with recurring or weekly availability, select "Repeat Weekly" and which days you’d like them to care for your pet.
