About: Dog and cat CPR certified long-time animal lover and caretaker. Comfortable with all cats and dogs, kittens, elderly animals, birds, and special needs animals. I have a flexible schedule so I can make most things work with advance notice! I pick up freelance work as needed, so my schedule varies greatly. I can make pretty much anything work with advance notice, I'm very flexible! I always make sure to have local vet/emergency information for your pet, I am dog and cat CPR-certified in case of emergency, I have an SUV that allows for transport of large animals if needed. I am a very quiet, laid-back person and I will make sure your pets are relaxed and cared for while in my care.

About: My family owned a ruby Cavalier King Charles for 13 years. I have experience with basic pet needs and responsibilities, and understand how to take behavior queues when animals show a desire for a need. I’m a recent college graduate who attended Bard College in upstate NY. I recently relocated to Jersey City and am applying to full time roles. My schedule is relatively flexible, but please reach out for exact availability. I prioritize safety by ensuring a secure leash grip and using pet-safe paths to prevent any potential hazards during walks. This includes avoiding busy streets or areas with potential risks to pets. Secondly, building trust with both the pets and their owners is important. I take time to understand each dog's needs and preferences to ensure they feel comfortable on their walk. Clear communication with pet owners before, during, and after the walk helps maintain transparency and trust. Furthermore, creating a pet-friendly environment involves being mindful of the surroundings and ensuring a positive experience for the dog. This includes providing opportunities for exercise and bathroom breaks, while also being attentive to any signs of getting tired or uncomfortable. About: As a social worker, I'm highly attuned to both human and animal needs/issues, and love getting to know and cater to unique personalities - or provide loving care for those who are ill or have special needs. I started taking care of neighbors' pets at an early age and though we only had fish and birds and a cat at home, dogs and other animals became a special love of mine. I have been cat, dog, bird and other little furry friend sitting for over four decades and have done so for several years as a 5 star sitter on Trusted Housesitters. I love making new furry friends, both for sharing my positive, attentive energy with them, and for nourishing in the innocent sweet playfulness they often offer. The mutual benefits of animal care are no joke! As an avid traveler and travel writer (we social workers need periodic breaks from our big jobs), pet sitting has been a fabulous win-win-for-all! I love immersing in local scenes, and enjoy getting to know the nature, infrastructure, and pulse of new places. Perhaps most importantly, I love hunkering down for writing (I am a published writer in addition to being a social worker) with the delightful energy of furry friends beside me. They seem to like it too! I grew up in a small city, have lived in a major city for over two decades and LOVE being in more rural and remote areas too. You can count on me to bring my strong sense of professionalism and responsibility to your pets and to your home. I’ve often been told that other than happy pets, there was no sign I had even been there! I am currently freelancing/focusing my time on writing projects so I often have a flexible schedule....and love taking work breaks with furry friends! A veteran 5-start pet-sitter, I am new to Rover and am figuring out how the calendar and geography works so it can reflect where I am and when I'm available. Most folks comment that they can barely tell I've been there. Cleanliness, respect, and loving care are my hallmarks. I make sure to honor any requests and instructions for people's homes, which often have quirks and special needs -- and to of course respect privacy too, just as I would as a social worker. As for furry friends, they get exceptional, reliable, patient, playful, caring energy from me while I make sure that all their food, litter, or other needs are met.

About: I have always had dogs & cats. I currently have 1 small terrier & 2 cats in my home. They are great & well loved by myself & kids. I work full time. I am able to take a lunch break which is flexible during the week. On weekends, I am free and available. I currently have 1 small dog & 2 cats in my home. They are loved & well taken care of. I am not currently offering any in home care.

About: I have worked a lot with both ends of the spectrum in terms of activity: I enjoy sleepy dogs as well as hounds. I have a Hungarian Vizsla back home, who is essentially a hunting dog—and I enjoy seeing her tired at the end of the day. Currently, my main occupation is writing a senior thesis. I do that successfully in between and around pet-sitting gigs. I only have three classes a week, so taking care of dogs and cats is a perfect commitment that I love to pursue At my client's houses, I make sure to maintain a safe environment in which pets do not come into contact with anything or anyone that poses even the slightest risk to their health and well-being.

About: I currently work as a physical therapist full time and started dog sitting while going to college in 2011 for a Great Dane named Maxx, from there I acquired many dog and cat sitting jobs through word of mouth and for friends and their family members. I have experience working with small dogs and bigger dogs. I love dogs and cats, I grew up having cats and had one dog. I will go the extra mile to give your pets all the love and attention they need. I take pride in making sure they feel at home while you’re gone. I’m currently working full time but have a very flexible schedule and a long lunch break so I’m able to be flexible with your pets schedule. I keep all my clients close to my work facility. I care for pets in your home. I love walking dogs and playing with them in their yard if they have one. I’m unable to care for pets in my home at this time.
