12. Dawn W.
About: I'll be honest, I adopted my first dog as an adult just 5 years ago. I did have a dog growing up though. I adopted a senior pittie mix. She was 10yrs old with mild degenerative joint disease at the time, and the sweetest dog. This dog was a fighter. A year after adopting her, lung cancer was found. She didn't have any symptoms. Then they found a mass on her spleen. I was not going to just do nothing. I raised the funds to have the surgeries needed. She lived another 3 years but then, two years ago, she started to struggle with her walking. I did my best to care for her. I took her to physical therapy, tried different supplements, and I always cooked her food. Since she coudn't walk very much, I decided to get her a little wagon so she could still see the neighborhood, and then let her walk around a little bit in different spots. Sadly, she passed away a month ago due to unexpected heart problems. I tell you this because that's the kind of pet mom I am. I love my animals and will do anything for them. I know what it's like not to have the help to care for your pet if you need to travel. I know what it's like to just get by financially because all your funds go to your pets. I will give your pet the same love and attention I would give my own. If something comes up last minute and you need help caring for your pet, I am here for you. I have done pet-sitting over the years, walking dogs or boarding dogs at my home. I don't mind different dog breeds. It's the aggressive behavior that I won't work with. I am also not comfortable crating dogs for long periods of time. I don't have puppy experience but am happy to learn and try and help in any way I can. Let's start with a meet and greet and go from there. I am not working right now so I have the freedom to care for your pet all day. I am hoping to do pet-sitting full time. I have a first floor patio that provide a little space for your dog to sit outside. I don't have a gate but I have a pallet I use to block the entry when needed for pet-sitting. I have a nice patio window that allows your dog to lay in the sun, watch the neighbors go by, or just watch the birds. My home is very quiet and the neighborhood is also quiet. I do have a senior cat so if your dog has a difficult problem with cats, like aggression and chasing, then staying in my home may not be the best option. This is something that we can discuss. I currently pet-sit an 11 month old Goldendoodle puppy, and although he was excited to see the cat, he learned to provide the cat space. Now they can be very close to each other without any issues. I am more than happy to check in with your pet a few times a day in your home. However, since I have a senior cat, I cannot stay overnight.
13. Evelyn M.
“Evelyn M. would provide genuine safe, and loving care for clients pets, and great communication skills with the clients themselves. She has 2 cats she absolutely adores and used to have a special needs cat that was paralyzed that she helped give care for and clean and give quality of life and affection. I myself have many cats and dogs and other animals that she has cared for when I was away. Evelyn is passionate about health and animals rights and is the perfect person to care for peoples animals while they are away.”
14. Janice A.
“Janice and her family are the best!! My dogs love them and they are beyond helpful, sweet and accommodating. I couldn’t imagine a better sitter for Gelato and Tspoon and so happy I found her!”
15. Kira W.
“Kira is the most caring pet sitter. She has helped me with my dog on a long road trip and has also been very helpful with her sisters dog on another road trip. Kira has an affinity for animals and a great understanding of pet needs. In addition to being responsible and trustworthy, Kira also grew up with animals and puts her heart into everything she does. Anyone would be lucky to have Kira as their pet sitter!”
16. Ashlee H.
“I can't say enough about Ashlee! She did a wonderful job with my former dog and is doing an excellent job with my very rambunctious puppy. I never worry about my dogs in Ashlees care”
17. Victoria V.
About: From the rowdiest dogs to the most skittish cats, I strive to gain the trust of your fur babies and go beyond just looking after them. I started this business because animals have always had a soft spot in my heart, and I'm the first person to look for pets at any house party! I have always been an animal lover, and pursuing Rover all began when I wanted to do something more than walking shelter pups from my local rescue or fostering kittens and now I aim to provide pet care in your time of need! I document my favorite moments with animals on my Instagram @k9oasis. I'm looking forward to meeting your furry friends! With love, Victoria 💕 As a local college student, I am available to look after your lovely fur buddy when not in class. Over breaks, I am home full-time and provide boarding and in-house pet care. Based on each pet, I will personalize and create a plan in advance that works best for their needs! 🐾 EXAMPLE 1: A high-energy puppy would have a schedule for multiple potty breaks, walks, and options for trails/hiking routes throughout the day and a feeding/training plan. EXAMPLE 2: A senior dog might prefer a more calm environment, with enrichment from a puzzle toy rather than a long walk. EXAMPLE 3: A reactive dog could use some familiarization and a step-by-step process of earning trust before routine visits/taking care of them.
18. Olivia T.
“We reached out to Olivia for a last-minute overnight and she responded within twenty minutes, Scooter was at her house an hour later. He had the BEST time having with her, her sweet 3yo daughter (fearless but gentle - a toddler who has always been around dogs!) and their dog. Had adventures and, importantly for us since Scooter has bad separation anxiety, was never left alone! Will absolutely be hanging out with them again!”
19. Kristel Z.
“Lola loved her daycare with Kristel, thank you so much for taking great care of her. I felt comfortable from the moment I dropped her off. I was given plenty of updates and pictures through the day. Definitely recommend!”
20. Sean B.
“Sean took great care of my dog Elliot while I was visiting a friend in the area. I felt very comfortable leaving my dog in his care and could tell he was taken great care of, he was happy and exhausted at pick up. I will definitely be using Sean again when I'm next in the area!”
