I am currently not working so I have a lot of free time during the day to go on walks and spend lots of quality time with your pup ! I have a fenced in yard, while it’s not huge, it’s great for quick potty breaks and some zooming around. I have a car to go to the dog park at Kingston Point Park, and also have a great neighborhood to walk around in. I allow my dogs on the couch, but understand if that is not something you prefer.

About: I have worked a lot with both ends of the spectrum in terms of activity: I enjoy sleepy dogs as well as hounds. I have a Hungarian Vizsla back home, who is essentially a hunting dog—and I enjoy seeing her tired at the end of the day. Currently, my main occupation is writing a senior thesis. I do that successfully in between and around pet-sitting gigs. I only have three classes a week, so taking care of dogs and cats is a perfect commitment that I love to pursue At my client's houses, I make sure to maintain a safe environment in which pets do not come into contact with anything or anyone that poses even the slightest risk to their health and well-being.

About: I've taken care of my grand dog Daisy many weekends while my kids are on vacation. I've dog sat for small and big dogs at my home for many years. Since I am retired, I am able to tend to your pets needs 24/7. I have a very flexible schedule and I am a very active person that will take your dog out for many walks. I live in a spacious condo alone, and do not have any pets. My complex has a dog park which is maintained and kept clean if approved by you. Your pet will receive top notch service under my care.

About: As a social worker, I'm highly attuned to both human and animal needs/issues, and love getting to know and cater to unique personalities - or provide loving care for those who are ill or have special needs. I started taking care of neighbors' pets at an early age and though we only had fish and birds and a cat at home, dogs and other animals became a special love of mine. I have been cat, dog, bird and other little furry friend sitting for over four decades and have done so for several years as a 5 star sitter on Trusted Housesitters. I love making new furry friends, both for sharing my positive, attentive energy with them, and for nourishing in the innocent sweet playfulness they often offer. I make sure to honor any requests and instructions for people's homes, which often have quirks and special needs -- and to of course respect privacy too, just as I would as a social worker. I have worked with rescue and foster dogs for the past six years, caring for a wide range of behavioral issues, medical problems and physical therapy, as well as severe separation anxiety. If your dog is shy or aggressive around new people, or a rescue who may need some extra support—I’m the pet sitter for you! I currently work in part time in Woodstock, so I will have plenty of time to look after your pets! I spend most of my free time studying for the LSAT these days. I do have reliable transport from Kingston to the surrounding area so I’m happy to make a bit of a drive to reach you. My partner is unfortunately allergic to furry friends, so I get my fill of dogs through pet-sitting as much as possible! I approach each dog gently and slowly, attending to each dog’s unique personality and behavioral/medical requirements. I’d love the opportunity to make your dog feel comfortable while you’re away! My philosophy regarding anxiety in dogs is to mimic their regular routine as much as possible. So, whatever that may mean for your lifestyle and your dog, I’ll do what I can to ensure your dog feels safe. I am also happy to attend to any house-sitting duties (watering plants, taking in mail, etc) while I’m caring for your furry friend! I fostered a two-year-old rescue Catahoula & Pitbull mix this past Winter, with a routine of four walks a day and positive-reinforcement recall and leash training.
