“Alice was wonderful--very professional and knew a lot about handling a strong willed dog like my Fergus. She was great in communicating with my husband who was working in his office and sending me updates while I was in another country. And most of all...Fergus loved her and would gladly have her as his sitter again! Thanks so much and hope I can use you in the future!”

About: I've taken care of many different types of dogs, from pit bulls to terriers to English bulldogs. As a teenager, I loved taking our family dog (a black Boxador) to her weekly puppy training classes and watching neighbors' dogs and cats while they were away. As an adult, I've been hired to dog-sit, cat-sit and house-sit for family friends and teachers. I spent the past year living with a rambunctious German shepherd and wrangling her on walks in Denver. I absolutely love long walks, playing fetch, or just cuddling with dogs. I'm a musician and graduate student at Bard. My schedule changes quite a bit, but I always have a good idea of what my schedule will look like 2 weeks in advance. In addition, I am generally free most mornings, and can often be flexible. I'm very happy to provide your dog(s) with walks, food, brushing, and bathing in the mornings or during the day while you're at work! I am also potentially open to boarding cats in my apartment if they do well with other cats. I have a calm, quiet 7yo cat named Hobbes, and my roommate has a rambunctious, playful, and friendly 2yo cat named Rue. Both have lived with multiple other cats before. We have 3 litter boxes in the house, lots of fun toys, many windows, space to explore, and a large cat tower.
About: I’ve had all kinds of pets, especially dogs, my entire life. Big ones, little ones, and everything in between — I love animals, and pampering them even more. Id love nothing more than to take care of your furry friends! I used to work at a doggie daycare, and was professionally trained in pet etiquette, grooming, and pet emergencies. I don’t have any pets of my own at the moment due to my living circumstances that disallows pets, but I miss having furry friends! I can do more than just hang around your pet. I’m professionally trained in dog bathing and grooming if necessary. I have gone through extensive behavioral training and can easily recognize when a dog is happy, uncomfortable, agitated, etc. Different behaviors require different approaches so I politely ask that you are honest about your pet’s needs and background when they are in my care. First time Rover customers are welcome to use my promotional code EMILYC83173 for $20 off their first service. Be sure to take advantage! I am in college full time, and I’m available most days. I can pop in anytime past 10 pm if needed! My availability is typically very open. I’m a former babysitter, so you can trust me to respect and care for your home as needed! I like to have very open communication, so if that sounds good to you, I may just be the pet sitter you’re looking for! :) I used to work at a doggie daycare with very extensive training, and I was professionally trained to handle/manage dogs of all shapes and sizes. I have dealt with countless emergencies between dogs and feel very comfortable working with them.
“Katherine responds quickly and is very easy to communicate with, she is punctual, friendly, and compassionate. Otis loved his walk with her and we will continue to have Katherine care for Otis when we need.”

About: I have taken care of animals my whole life - from family pets, to pets of my own. I love all animals. We do not deserve them, but I do my best to earn their love every day. They are so innocent and deserving of love, and I truly enjoy providing them with all the love and safety they need. I love just simply watching them exist! I have cared for small, medium, and large dogs. I cared for my sweet German Shorthaired Pointer baby (Hunter), who had cancer. Now I shower my young Aussie Mountain Doodle puppy (Selena) with love every day, teaching her to learn and grow, and brushing her constantly so her doodle fur does not get matted and she stays looking beautiful. I have fully potty trained her, she has learned a few commands, and with my guidance, she is getting better and better at walking on her leash. I also have two amazing senior kitties (Pink Floyd and Led Zeppelin). They make me smile everyday. They are 14 years young, so they have started to have some slight health decline (cataracts, arthritis, hyperthyroidism), so I have gotten better and better at senior cat care. One of my kitties requires a pill twice a day, so I am an expert at administering pills to cats as well. I am also very good about making sure they have the freshest litter and litter boxes. I clean them daily, empty them completely once a week, and I even wash the boxes out completely once a month. I also house their litter boxes in litter box enclosures to give them privacy and a place of their own to do their business. From caring for my own pets, to feeding the squirrels and birds in my backyard, to saving stray cats - my love for animals knows no bounds. All animals deserve love, and I promise to care for you pets as if they were my own ❤️ I work full-time for a non-profit, but I work from home 3 days a week and only go into the office 2 times a week. This means I have some flexibility in my schedule on week days. On weekends I am wide open! At my home, I have a routine with my animals. They are fed right around the same times everyday, they are given fresh water twice a day, my one cat gets his medicine at the same time twice a day, and they all get a lot of pets and some treats daily as well. My puppy gets at least 2 walks a day, some swim time if the weather is nice, and A LOT of play time with her many toys every day. My cats do not like to play much now that they are older, but I do my best to keep them active with the few toys they show interest in. I have also converted my back porch into an enclosed catio in order to fulfill their dreams of being outdoor cats! In your home, I would utilize my stellar attention to detail in order to carefully follow your guidance. That way I can keep your pet(s) on their usual routine as much as possible so that they are as comfortable and feel as safe as possible. I am also a wonderful and thorough communicator, so I would ensure you were fully aware of everything so that you can feel comfortable as well.
“Rosalie has been so lovely to work with. Our recently adopted dog struggles with separation anxiety and Rosalie has been willing to work with us to slowly build her confidence so that we can eventually leave her overnight. We are very grateful for her help, patience, and support!”

“Tina has been a reliable and highly valued walker for my mother’s dog Max in Woodstock. She comes every afternoon and walks him for an hour, and even picks up the mail on her way back. Max is always happy to see her!”

“Thank you, Lynette for taking such great care of Winston! I think you have become one of his favorite hoomans! Lynette was kind, prompt, reliable and we will keep her in mind for future care.”

About: I have two dachshund of my own! I’ve been hosting for 2 years and would love to continue to do so. Can’t wait to meet your pups! I treat my pets as a part of myself. I make sure they are accommodated. My days aren’t hectic so morning and afternoon+ night routine is established. I have a fenced yard. There’s lots of grass and space for them to run around. So freedom won’t be a problem. I make sure to keep my space free from food and anything chewable.
East Kingston dog parents share their Rover experiences
Rosalie has been so lovely to work with. Our recently adopted dog struggles with separation anxiety and Rosalie has been willing to work with us to slowly build her confidence so that we can eventually leave her overnight. We are very grateful for her help, patience, and support!

Sebastian took great care of our 17 year old dog who needs multiple medications. Not only just the basics of walking, feeding and giving him medication, but spending quality time doing the things that he likes to do. I think our dog was a little disappointed when we got home that it was us and not Sebastian!
We had a fantastic experience with Jacqueline! She was punctual, friendly, and clearly has a great way with dogs. Our pups came back happy and well exercised after each walk. Jaqueline was also great with communication sending updates and photos that gave us peace of mind. Highly recommend her for anyone looking for a caring and reliable dog walker!
