A typical day
With cats, I like to engage them with their toys and natural environment. I recognize some cats don’t like strangers, so I try to be present and calming until they’re comfortable with me. With dogs, I will make sure to take them on exciting walks, getting to smell and explore the neighborhood.

Pet care experience
I helped take care of our family dogs when I lived at home. This includes washing, walking, playing, feeding our Cocker Spaniel. I have also helped babysit friends’ dogs on a short-term basis.
