About: I've been surrounded by and taken care of animals my entire life, and I want to be your new trustworthy pet sitter or dog walker! I have a standard poodle named Remy and maine coon cat named Bash at home, and they are my everything. I've fostered kittens (as young as 2.5 weeks old) for six years now and have been a petsitter for longer. I'm great with people and even better with cats and dogs. I want to keep your pets safe and happy, and you worry-free! I can administer medicine, trim nails, walk any size dog, clean, monitor urine and stool output, keep track of mood and general signs for concern, and I love sending cute update pictures so you know your pets are thriving! I just graduated with my master’s in occupational therapy and I’m studying for my boards, so my days are free and I’d love to sit for you or care for your pets however you need! I'm great at following directions and problem-solving, and I'll do whatever I can to make sure you're comfortable with me entering your home to care for your pets. I understand different types of collars, leashes, and equipment needed to guarantee a pet's safety. I am very aware of my surroundings and good at reading a pet's energy and potential reactivity. I've had animals my entire life, so closing the door quickly and not letting pets out is second nature to me. I know your pets are your family, and I will treat them as such!

“Abbey was a dream to work with!! Would ten out of ten recommend her and absolutely work with her again :). Our cat Cyrus loved her immediately and she left us detailed updates and photos. She’s super nice, loved Cyrus so much, very prompt and awesome. Thanks again Abbey!!”

“Ebony is a lifesaver!!! Took care of our four pets for 3 days super super last minute — she is super communicative, sends pictures often, and took our dogs on a walk daily. I have a kitten and she took special care of him. Took extra time to make sure each pet felt comfy with her. She’s our go-to sitter now!”

“Amelia was warm and kind and listened to all the directions I gave her (helicopter cat-mom here). She sent lots of pictures and updates about how everyone was doing after every visit. Just the best!”

About: I’ve been taking care of different kinds of animals over the last few years. I’ve always loved meeting and getting to know other animals in my neighborhood!! I’m always free in the afternoons! I work mornings at a doggy daycare and I’m usually available by 1:30. Please let me know at least 24 hours in advance for any services. I typically use a flat leash leash, but I always make sure that the animal have as much space as they need to do what they need to do. I always try to provide some type of treat or enrichment on walks.
About: I’ve walked and trained my own lab mix (10) as well as worked as a dog walker and sitter for independent clients. I’m great with energetic dogs of all sizes. I work a minimum wage job full time during the week, but am looking to supplement or replace it with dog walking on weekends and evenings. At my clients home I will sit out with the dog and crate it easily if needed. I am able to take the dog out every few hours and love taking them on long walks if desired.
“Mario was great to work with. He sent plenty of pics and updates daily. Lottie was well taken care of. Mario even collected eggs from our chickens. Was very satisfied with Mario and will be a future return customer.”

“Veronica was wonderful with our two cats. I would recommend her to anyone and would use her services again anytime. It was the first time I used a sitter, and it worked out perfectly”

About: I’ve been caring for dogs for many years and have eight years of professional experience working as a dog bather and groomer. I also completed veterinary medicine courses through Orange-Ulster BOCES and community college, giving me additional knowledge of animal health and behavior. I have previous dog-sitting experience and am comfortable caring for puppies, senior dogs, and dogs of all sizes and personalities. Whether your pet needs walks, playtime, medications, lots of cuddles, or just someone to keep them company, I’ll provide them with loving, dependable care. As an added bonus, I can also provide basic grooming services during visits, including baths, brushing, nail trims, and ear cleaning if requested. I’m currently a professional dog bather and groomer working about 30 hours a week, so caring for dogs is already a part of my daily life! I have previous dog-sitting experience and understand the importance of keeping pets comfortable and maintaining their normal routine. I’m generally available after 4:00 PM on weekdays, with additional availability on weekends. I’m happy to schedule a meet and greet before booking to make sure we’re a great fit. I also offer basic grooming services during boarding or daycare, including baths, brushing, nail trims, ear cleaning, and more. Your pet’s safety, comfort, and well-being are my top priorities. I understand that every pet has their own routine, and I will follow your instructions closely to keep them happy and comfortable while you’re away. As a professional dog bather and groomer with previous pet-sitting experience, I’m experienced handling dogs of all sizes, ages, and personalities. Whether your pet needs walks, playtime, cuddles, medication, or extra patience, I’ll provide the same love and care I would give my own pets. About: My name is Danielle and I own Shiny Paws Dog Spa. An at home dog spa where I make sure the dogs have a personal one on one experience with me. I want nothing more than to have them feel relaxed and loved. Can’t wait to meet everyone! I am currently home full time. Running a dog spa out of my own home full time. Your pups will be looked after all day/night long. I have a nice size yard along with a lake side property to walk around. Pups will also have their own personal space within the house for some peace and quiet.
About: Hi, I’m Cory! I’ve been around dogs for most of my life and have many years of hands on experience caring for dogs of different breeds, sizes, ages, and personalities. I grew up with multiple dogs of my own and have also cared for many dogs and cats through Rover over the years. Although I don’t currently have a dog of my own, I do have a kitten named Callie who is very friendly and accustomed to the dogs that stay with us. Your dog does not need to be cat friendly to stay with me. If your dog doesn’t do well with cats, just let me know ahead of time so I can make arrangements to keep Callie safely separated and give your dog their own space. I understand how important it is to have someone you can trust caring for your pet while you’re away. My goal is to make every dog in my care feel safe, comfortable, loved, and as close to their normal routine as possible. I’m attentive to each dog’s individual needs and am happy to follow specific feeding schedules, walking routines, sleeping arrangements, and other instructions you provide. I’m also experienced with administering medications, including oral medications and insulin injections, and I’m comfortable caring for dogs who require a little extra attention as part of their daily routine. I currently work at a middle school on weekdays until 1:45 PM. While I’m at work, my husband is home with our three children, so dogs staying with us are never left home alone during that time. Once I’m home, I’m available to provide plenty of attention, walks, playtime, cuddles, and companionship. We also have a fully fenced in yard, giving dogs plenty of space to safely get outside, stretch their legs, play, and enjoy some fresh air throughout the day. IMPORTANT — PLEASE READ BEFORE BOOKING: Because this is a family home with children and I may care for dogs from more than one household, all dogs staying with me must be friendly and safe around children. Dogs must also be friendly with other dogs unless we have discussed and arranged a private stay in advance. If your dog is not dog friendly or you are unsure how they behave around other dogs, I may still be able to accommodate them ONLY when arranged with me ahead of time and I have no other dogs scheduled to board during their stay. Please contact me before booking so I can confirm whether I’m able to provide a private stay for your requested dates. Otherwise, dogs staying with me must be comfortable and safe around other dogs. For the safety of my family and every animal in my care, I ask that you be completely open with me about your dog’s personality, habits, medical needs, anxieties, triggers, and typical behavior. The more I know about your dog beforehand, the better I can make their stay comfortable, safe, and enjoyable. I know leaving your pet with someone else can be stressful, and I want you to feel confident knowing they’re being treated like part of the family while they’re here. You can depend on me to provide attentive, reliable, and loving care and to treat your pet as I would my own. Please feel free to reach out with any questions or tell me a little about your pet before booking. I look forward to meeting you and your furry family member! 🐾 I'm off from work during the summer and during the school year I work at a middle school until 1:45. While I’m gone, my family will have plenty of time to play with your pups! I will do anything to make your pup feel comfortable and at home away from home during his stay with me. I love detailed instructions so please feel free to let me know everything about your pet! I have a fenced in yard and 2 children who are huge dog lovers who would love to keep your dog(s) busy and keep them company!

I’m looking forward to helping you and your family! With what I do for a living I have lots of down time where I am able to care my time with the fur babies . I will follow exactly how you want your fur babies to be taken care of in your home. Over the years I have learned that it is stressful to move your pet when you vacation or have to go for work. The babies seem to do much better in their normal environment . I will also provide the extra love, kisses and belly rubs . I do need to mention that I will watch your home and take care of the fur babies needs but I do not sleep at my clients homes.
“He did pretty good!! He cleaned the cat box ,feed the cat and gave her the medicine on time He even clean the cat plates and chance the water. Even took out the trash with out me asking.”

“Kelly was very reliable and resourceful. She followed our instructions to the letter, including the locking of the back deck slider--not easy to do. Our cats were content and even the skittish cat who avoids everyone, came out to say "Hi" to Kelly when she came in--that says so much. I would indeed recommend Kelly and Rover for cat and dog home services when you need to be away from home.”

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
While Rover doesn’t offer traditional subscription services, some sitters offer recurring bookings for services like home visits and dog walking. Recurring services come with their own perks, such as flexibility to modify services (up to five weeks in advance), automatic billing, Rover Card updates, and same-day cancellations.
