About: I've had dogs and cats my entire life, and I have experience with dogs of all sizes and kinds, ranging from Pomeranian to Great Pyrenees. I currently have a cat of my own, and grew up taking care of cats of all ages. In college, I volunteered at a humane society where I worked on socializing cats and walking dogs, on leash of course, prior to adoption. There, I also learned how to prevent the spread of infection, both in a kennel and from home to home. I also have experience taking care of fish and poultry, doing water changes and chemical balancing, if needed. I'm currently a graduate student at ISU, so my schedule is very flexible to fit any schedule you require, including midday walks and drop-in visits. I am very detail oriented and will ensure the best care for your pet. My attention to detail ensures that any emergencies will be taken care of promptly, and your pet will get the most ideal care for them.

“Erin is AMAZING! We had a last minute trip and she was able to accommodate. She was way beyond anything we could have expected! Such detailed reports and pictures and even stayed longer in some cases. The care she has for animals is evident, you’ll feel confident putting your pets in Erin’s care.”

About: I have always loved animals and caring for them. I grew up taking care of mostly dogs, but I have experience with other animals like cats, goats, guinea pigs, and hamsters. I love meeting new animals and helping care for them. I am currently a student at Iowa state but am available all day Tuesdays and Thursdays and weekends. I’m available in the afternoon on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. I cannot provide boarding because of the pets I have at home, but I can visit pets or stay overnight with them at their homes. I’ve stayed in ankeny overnight a few times but prefer to stay in Ames due to my classes being in the morning.

About: I have been dogsitting, catsitting, and housesitting since I was in high school! I also worked for 3 years at a general practice veterinary clinic, working with animals boarding at the facility to provide them care. I have also worked 2 years in the ICU of the Small Animal Hospital at Iowa State, taking care of patients. I am currently working part-time, so I have lots of flexibility with my schedule when it comes to housesitting, walking your dogs, or any care you might need! I am happy to play with your pets, take them outside, and ensure they have company! I cannot care for pets in my own home (territorial cat, oops!) but more than happy to hang out in your home and ensure your pets are happy and taken care of.

“Ashley was wonderful! She was able to take care of our pups on short notice and sent tons of pictures! Our dogs loved her and she took great care and played lots of fetch! I absolutely recommend her and will be using her again!”

About: I’m a lifelong pet owner and have experience taking care of both dogs and cats. Over the past six years, I’ve been responsible for feeding, walking, playing with, and providing general care and attention to my own dog. These last few years I’ve also pet sat for my family members and friends, taking care of their dogs and cats. I love getting to know each pet’s personality and ensuring that they feel well taken care of and loved! I am currently a student at Iowa State University, but everyday I have breaks or long stretches of time where I can drop in on and take care of your pets! I always ensure that I go over with any rules/boundaries with clients and to ask about any additional care towards the pet (like administering medicine). I like to know whatever works best for you and your pets!

About: I’ve taken care of my family’s, friends', and neighbors' cats and dogs since I was a child. I have a knack for getting even the most nervous of pets to feel comfortable around me and most of my friends consider me as their pet’s "cool aunt". I am comfortable with small and large dogs and cats, and I always strive to keep the minds of the pets I’m watching stimulated and engaged. With me, your pet will never miss out on snuggles and play time. I am also familiar with geriatric and disabled pets and I am comfortable giving oral medication. I am currently a graduate student finishing up my master’s degree in wildlife ecology, so I have a fairly flexible schedule at the moment. This means that I will have time to prioritize your pet’s care. While I cannot care for pets in my own home, I will gladly come to yours. I am comfortable preparing food, feeding, and giving oral medication to your pet. Additionally, I will gladly keep up with any ongoing training you are already doing with your pet while you are gone.

I'm ready and willing to add a tag-along dog friend to make my walking extra special. I will take care of your dog like my own, whether keeping your schedule for house-sitting or dropping in to let them out. Walks are by far my favorite activity when I'm with them! I am willing to house-sit, drop in, and/or walk your pup, but at this time, I am not considering caring for them in my home. If you choose to have me take care of your dog, I will do my absolute best to keep them clean and happy.

Zoe F.
“I lived with Zoe shortly after she rescued her cat, she is an amazing care taker for him. She slowly let him warm up to her and the people we lived with, not forcing him to be around others. She always called out people when they were making him uncomfortable and didn’t allow inappropriate interactions. One of our roommates had a cat that they did not take good care of and Zoe would often check in to make sure she was being fed and taken care of. Even allowing the cat to use her litter box and clean up after her when it wasn’t required. Zoe cares deeply about pets and is very responsible in every way. I would trust her to take care of any of my pets without question.”

Sophia C.

“Sophia was great! She kept me throughly updated on every visit and went the extra step on every aspect of the visits. She's awesome and would recommend to anyone!”

Erin H.

Olivia O.
“Olivia is one of the best animal lovers I know. She is caring, responsible, and reliable. She has taken great care of our family dogs for several years now. We trust her with our animals and being in our home. I would never hesitate to have her back!”

Hailey C.

“Hailey was very gentle and my dog got friendly with her quickly at the first visit. She is really good with dogs. I would highly recommend her.”

Teagan W.
“Teagan is an amazing pet sitter and has watched my cats and dog several times. She always goes above and beyond in making sure they get the proper care whenever I've been gone. I also worked with her in a vet clinic situation and she was wonderful with all levels of pets that we saw no matter how big or small, their temperment, ect. She isn't afraid of the more "troublesome" pets and is always glad to find ways to make sure the animal's needs come first!”

Ashley R.

“Ashley was wonderful! She was able to take care of our pups on short notice and sent tons of pictures! Our dogs loved her and she took great care and played lots of fetch! I absolutely recommend her and will be using her again!”

Savana P.
“I have known Savana since she was born and she has ALWAYS shown a love, care, and respect for all animals. She’s even gone vegetarian since a toddler protesting to show how she didn’t want to harm animals anymore! ❤️ She is currently in collage to become a veterinarian which is an added bonus of safety and comfort. She has always been around my pets from dogs, ferrets, even my reptiles and handled them all with love and care as tho they were her own. Wouldn’t have anyone else watch my furbabies and none furbabies.”

“Jenn is one of the nicest and most caring people you could ever hope to meet. Loves animals, and would love to have another dog again... but she will have to settle for spending time with other people's 😉😅. She already walks multiple times a day, everyday, so no reason your pup couldn't tag along and enjoy the time outside as well!”

Dana L.
“Dana truly loves, cares for and admires animals. She places a priority on ensuring her pets receive the attention they deserves and pampers them too. She has unique gift of sensing pet behavior and can "read" them very well. Dana is/will be an exceptional pet sitter/dog walker.”
