When we asked about the possibility of adding an extra visit mid-week, she was completely flexible and accommodating, which gave us great peace of mind while we were away. We came home to a clean and orderly house, happy and well-cared-for cats, and everything just as we left it. She even managed to win over Beaney, our most distrustful cat—something we doubted would be possible. Seeing her almost relaxed in the photos she sent was a highlight of our trip. About: I've cared for my own and others' sport and show dogs, as well as family pets. I've raised puppies and cared for seniors. I've managed dogs in packs or individually. I've also been grooming part time for 5 years. I have a full time job working Monday through Friday. I have large crates for dogs during work hours and a big fenced yard for playtime. I have a fenced yard and two whippets. I generally feed twice a day and crate when I'm not home during the work week. My dogs play in the yard and I take them for walks to keep them active. We occasionally travel for lure coursing and dog shows.

About: I’ve had pets my entire life. I’ve had cats, dogs, and small animals like guinea pigs and mice. I competed in 4H with horses and I’ve also worked on horse ranches. I’m a certified dog groomer and even went to vet tech school for a semester. I have worked at 2 different vet clinics. I’m always looking to advance in my career with animals I’m currently a full time dog groomer in Ames! My shifts vary but I’m always off work by 6 at the very latest. I have Tuesdays and Sundays completely open usually. Mondays and Thursdays I start work very early but the other days of the week I can stop in very early in the morning if needed for potty breaks. I can just walk them, drop in to visit, or stay for part of a day. I’m even willing to take your pets places in my car if that’s wanted. I’m very experienced with animals and their needs are very important to me.

About: I grew up on a “farm” where I was the main one in charge of feeding and watering the animals. We had most of the animals you can think of and probably some you might not. Cats, dogs, rabbits, chickens, pigs, goats, a mini horse, quail, ducks, and even deer. I even enjoyed raising caterpillars. I work fulltime Monday thru Thursday, 7-5:30. I would be able to check on pets throughout the weekend, but would not be opposed to checking in on pets closer to home if I were asked. All of my cats are indoor only. All dogs I have watched have been in fenced in yards or had chains to let them out on. I have fed dogs at my friend’s homes separately due to food aggression.

About: I am a veterinary student at ISU with experience pet sitting, caring for shelter animals, and clinical care. I am comfortable caring for pets with special diets and administration of oral medicine. I have experience with puppies and senior dogs, and I have flexibility in caring for pets of varying activity levels. I can't wait to meet your fur baby! I have school on weekdays, but I'm available for walks during the lunch hours from 11am - 1pm. I'm also available after 5pm Monday - Friday and have full availability on weekends. Your pet's comfort is my number one concern so I have no problem coming to you or taking your pet to their favorite park. I'm comfortable walking larger dogs that pull the leash and explore or older dogs with limited mobility. My dog has a vestibular issue, so I'm experienced lifting pets to help them up and down stairs and getting into cars. I'm also experienced giving oral medication, clipping/shaving nails, and bathing.

About: I have nine years of pet care experience. I raised and showed Rex rabbits for 4 years. Personally I have trained and care for my own dogs. After High School I work in an Animal Hospital. My duties there included receiving the animals for appointments, prepping and assisting in surgeries, keeping accurate records, cleaning and sanitation of the facilities. I am available to care for pets full time as I am looking to make a career out of caring for pets as I pursue a position as a Veterinary Assistant or Technician. I would be able to care for the animals in their own homes keeping them safe in the comfort of their own space and environment.

About: Since I was young I have been around dogs. We used to breed yellow labs when I was younger and my family always had a dog that needed taking care of. After work I have a very open evening. I like to stay busy and active. During the weekends I am always outside and playing with my dog My dog Theo is very telling in what he wants. I make sure he has plenty of outside time (unless it’s hot) and try to let him do what feels natural for him.

About: Growing up I have lived with dogs of all sizes and other animals such as farm animals my entire life. I know how to care for a pet to give them the best life possible, including all needed medications. Pets are family and they bring a lot of joy and meaning into our lives. I have a talent for taking great dog pictures, which I can send for updates! I believe dogs make our lives whole, so I will give your fur baby/ies the care and attention they need to stay happy and healthy. My 18 Ib long haired dachshund is great with other animals and loves to socialize with my parents dogs and dogs at the park, walks, shopping, etc.! I take Rico on morning walks every morning, afternoon, and then to the dog park every evening, I live close to our neighborhood dog park so I always take him there to run around and play fetch. I can also throw in a free bath. I always make time for pet care! I walk my own dog daily and my dog is in love with our friendly neighborhood dog park. I’m excited to help care for others’ pets when they are busy/unavailable. The majority of my availability is over the weekends; however, i have a lot more free time now so please message me to better arrange as I have a lot more flexibility. I have had many dogs growing up over the years and have a friendly long haired dachshund wiener dog of my own! I’m very close to my neighborhood dog park and have side walks I could easily take the dogs for a nice little stroll around the block. I’m able to crate your dog to fit their needs, schedule, and preferences. There is always water available, and will check by the hour for bathroom breaks, and can send you pictures and videos every few hours to inform you on how everything is going. I make sure to ask questions right away and as needed to best care for pets in all environments.

I grew up around working dogs, helping my grandfather and stepdad, who were hpund dog haulers. I have learned how to deal with dog fights and aggressive/reactive dogs through training. I have plenty of time for walks and Drop in visits. About: My friends, family and neighbors have come to me when they need someone to look after their pets. I’ve pet sit for dogs, cats, guinea pigs, hedgehogs, fish and reptiles. During the week, I have veterinary school with breaks between classes. I was a vet assistant for 5 years so I gained plenty of experience with a variety of animals. Animal care is one of my passions so walking and sitting in my free time is something I enjoy! I’m am a veterinary student during the week so I’m looking to help walk dogs or pet sit on the weekends and days I get off. About: I've grown up with pets my whole life - dogs, cats, cows, horses, hamsters, mice, you name it I probably had it at one point. I have a dog of my own as well. I like to say I've had animal experience my whole life, but formally I have had over 8 years of experience in the animal care industry. I have spent time in veterinary clinics, grooming, boarding, doggy daycare, dog training, permanent sanctuaries, rehabilitation facilities, and farms. I have also fostered multiple dogs from local rescues. I recently earned a bachelors degree in animal science and currently attend veterinary school at ISU. I really really love animals and everything about them, and I would love to spend some time with your pet when you're not able to! Pet care is built into my schedule and comes as second nature to me now after being immersed in it for so long. On average, a minimum of 3-5 hours of my day are dedicated to my animals. I enjoy taking my dog on multiple walks a day, of varying lengths, to ensure he has enough mental stimulation and exercise to meet his needs. Training is also a constant in my household, whether that be scheduled training sessions, or simply consistent work throughout daily tasks. I find it important to build a bond with my animals as well as those I meet, and training helps strengthen that bond. Outdoor activities (walks, meeting friends dogs, swimming, fetch, etc.) and training exercises are my primary methods of exercise and activity with my pet, and would be with clients pets as well. On days it's not so nice I like to work on training inside or find new enrichment activities to keep my pet occupied and stimulated. I take pride in keeping my environment and my animals’ clean, so I regularly bathe and brush my dog, as well as clean food and water bowls. I will care for my clients pets as I would care for my own.

About: I have taken care of my dog since he was a puppy and my brothers do for about 4 years. I also work at a doggy day care and am around all sorts of dogs and understand body language. I work mostly on the weekends. I am most available to spend the most time with your pet during the week. I have school but no more than 4 hours a day. I provide attentive and reliable pet care either in my home or in the client’s home, depending on their preference. I follow each pet’s routine closely, including feeding schedules, exercise, playtime, and any specific care instructions. I make sure pets feel comfortable, safe, and well-cared for by giving them plenty of attention and maintaining a clean environment. If caring for pets in a client’s home, I respect their space, keep everything tidy, and ensure the pet experiences minimal disruption to their normal routine. I am also comfortable administering medications if needed and monitoring pets for any changes in behavior or health. My goal is to provide a stress-free experience for both the pet and the owner.
