About: For several years, I’ve cared for friends dog while they are away and needing someone to provide care, either extended in home stays or just popping in. I had a dog when I was growing up, and I loved being able to take her on walks and little adventures, now I just have cats. I enjoy walking dogs and taking them to the park for some enrichment and exercise! Providing some time during the day to keep your pet company is something I love to do. As a pet owner, when I'm away for longer than normal, it always makes me feel better knowing my pets have someone to check in on them, so I love to do that for others when I can! I currently have a very flexible schedule, so I am available for daytime care during the work day, as well as last minute care needs! I am happy to take dogs on walks, or to the dog park, and provide engaging play and attention. For cats, I'm happy to follow their cues, hanging out nearby, providing opportunities to play, and come get some affection if they want. I pay close attention to animals and their needs, responding quickly to any cues they are giving me about what they may want or need. If a dog seems stressed, we will head back home and get back to a comfortable space. With cats, I always let them set the pace and get comfortable.

About: I’ve been around dogs for most of my life and have owned a dog since I was 7. Over the years, I’ve also helped local families care for their dogs while they were traveling, and during college I had the opportunity to help a breeder care for puppies as well as their adult dogs. These experiences gave me the opportunity to work with dogs of different ages, sizes, personalities, and energy levels. I also have hands-on experience working in a veterinary clinic, and I’m currently a second-year veterinary student. Between my personal experience with pets and my veterinary training, I’m comfortable providing attentive, responsible care and following individual instructions for each pet. I’m currently in veterinary school, so my schedule is busiest during the weekdays, but I have more flexibility on weekends for house sitting and longer stays. I’m also available for drop-in visits and walks during the week when my class schedule allows. I’m very intentional about keeping my Rover calendar updated so families know when I’m available. I enjoy spending my free time outside, walking, and being around animals, so pet care fits naturally into my routine! I want every pet to feel safe, comfortable, and as close to their normal routine as possible while their owner is away. I’m happy to follow specific instructions for feeding, walks, medications, potty breaks, and anything else your pet needs. My experience working in a veterinary clinic has also taught me to pay close attention to changes in behavior, appetite, energy, and overall well-being. When caring for pets in their home, I’m respectful of their space and their family’s home and make sure everything is secure before I leave.

About: I have nine years of pet care experience. I raised and showed Rex rabbits for 4 years. Personally I have trained and care for my own dogs. After High School I work in an Animal Hospital. My duties there included receiving the animals for appointments, prepping and assisting in surgeries, keeping accurate records, cleaning and sanitation of the facilities. I am available to care for pets full time as I am looking to make a career out of caring for pets as I pursue a position as a Veterinary Assistant or Technician. About: I grew up taking care of dogs on our family farm. I was responsible for feeding, watering, cleaning, and spending time with them each day. I also grew up with a cat in the home. I love animals and enjoy taking dogs on walks. Besides my school schedule, I am very free. I have my own car and I live on campus. I am available in morning and evening and in between classes. I can fulfill any need that you may have for caring for your animal in your home. I live in a dorm on campus, which is not animal friendly:)

About: I have been taking care of dogs of all sizes and cats for 5 years now. I have worked with dogs that have many triggers and also have experience with puppies. I am currently a student at Iowa State. I don’t have too many classes so my schedule is pretty open! I will have plenty of time to play with and hangout with your pups! I am able to watch your pets in my home. I don’t have a fenced in yard but I will always take your pets out on a leash. My roommate does have a dog, but he stays in her room during the day when she is not home. If you need me to stay with your pets, I will respect all of your rules for your pets and your house.

I work mostly on the weekends. I am most available to spend the most time with your pet during the week. I have school but no more than 4 hours a day. I provide attentive and reliable pet care either in my home or in the client’s home, depending on their preference. I follow each pet’s routine closely, including feeding schedules, exercise, playtime, and any specific care instructions. I make sure pets feel comfortable, safe, and well-cared for by giving them plenty of attention and maintaining a clean environment. If caring for pets in a client’s home, I respect their space, keep everything tidy, and ensure the pet experiences minimal disruption to their normal routine. I am also comfortable administering medications if needed and monitoring pets for any changes in behavior or health. My goal is to provide a stress-free experience for both the pet and the owner.

I grew up around working dogs, helping my grandfather and stepdad, who were coon dog haulers. As an adult, I’ve worked with a wide range of dogs, including nervous and reactive dogs. I also fostered a dog with aggression issues, which gave me real experience with triggers, stress signals, and safe handling. Meet-and-greets are required to ensure safety and a good fit for every dog. When boarding, I prefer to have smaller dogs due to living in a duplex. I can have 1-2 at a time. My dog gets along with most dogs, it seems he prefers dogs his size and smaller. I am experienced in walking 2-3 dogs at once. I have learned how to deal with dog fights and aggressive/reactive dogs through training. I have plenty of time for walks and Drop in visits. About: I have been pet sitting for three years so family friends and have always been asked back or recommended to others. I will love and care for your pets including walks, play time, pets or cuddles. Typically I will start work at 4:30-5pm going to about 9:30pm and no later than 10:30pm without communication with pet owner. Before my 4:30 shifts on scheduled days I can walk, feed, and play with your pet as much as they need. I have one medium sized older dog in my home who does not care much for other dogs at his age and a male cat that keeps to his own as well. We have a medium sized fenced in yard and a large safe neighborhood to walk around. In your home I am easy to adjust to your pets daily routine and needs.
