About: I have 30+ years of pet sitting experience in homes and shelters and am Fear Free trained and certified. Will provide trusted and compassionate care for your pets including exercise, enrichment, and walks, along with lots of cuddles. My sole job is pet sitting, so I am able to care for many pet families throughout the day. Of course, I am only able to schedule one overnight stay per day. Please contact me ASAP for my availability. I can do overnight stays in a pets home so that they feel more comfortable with the sit. I do have other pet sits throughout the day, but rest assured that I will be available for your pet throughout the day.

About: I am a Marquette native who just returned home after years of adventures and experiences with animals in other places. I have over 20 years experience in the animal medical field, primarily in emergency and surgery and over 3 years with animal poison control. I also recently became a certified dog trainer, using positive reinforcement. Your animals will be in qualified and caring hands with me. I currently have wide open availability as my main focuses right now include caring for a family member in a nursing home and maintaining my busy household, which includes my special needs pets. With my extensive experience, you can feel at ease knowing I am very knowledgeable about animals and their needs. I know what to do if there is a problem and stay calm in emergencies.

“Amelia was great with my dog, Mila! She was super accommodating when there were any kind of last minute changes and she was always very quick to respond to any messages I sent. Will absolutely be booking with her in the future!”

About: I’ve been pet sitting for a few animals on multiple occasions. I can sit for cats and dogs at the same time. I love playing with animals and treat them like my own. I am full time college student but would be able to accommodate most pet sittings. I have a car and would easily be able to house sit! I spend lots of time with the animals I take care of. I can walk them, bathe them, play with them, and more! I have a pup of my own who is very loved. I also can do small household tasks such as cleaning, taking out trash, watering plants, and getting the mail.

About: Furry Friend Care experience includes caring for cat(s) needing regular injections (subcutaneous), special dietary needs, and walking multiple dogs (familiar with each other). Light grooming, as well! As a free agent with Home bases in both Munising and Marquette, I have flexibility! Please specify what area/ community when you request services. We all have things we care about and want to ensure are safe and cared for when we're not around. I will give care and consideration to your fur friends, their routines and safety! My house sitting, boat sitting, fur friend care, & companionship extend from Marquette to Munising, and Chocolay to Big Bay! Care to be in your home, unless special conditions are made. My current familiar is a gorgeous grey Nebelung cat, adopted as a kitten 5 years ago. She requires a special ZD diet and biweekly subcutaneous shots. I have experience attaching kitty nail caps, when she was younger, with coordinated guidance while we were sussing out an unknown skin condition that was causing her to scratch aggressively, continually opening wounds, not giving them a chance to heal. Her condition is now under control, and she no longer requires the nail caps. Prior cats I have cared for have ranged from 3 lbs to 28 lbs! Our family pooch is an English Springer Spaniel, a unique tri-color showcasing beautiful Sable color. We welcomed him to our home 6 years ago. He is our 2nd Springer in 21 years. They are such a loving, fun, and gentle breed. I have much experience in connecting with and walking rescue dogs as well, mixed breeds including Sharpei, Pit Bull, Rottie, Jack Russel, Corgie, Labradoodles, Spaniels, etc. Sanitation is the start of keeping our friends safe and healthy; exercise and fresh air are necessary as well to have a happy, healthy home life. I can provide these things for your loved furry friend(s) while you are traveling or working.

About: I grew up with dogs my whole life and have a good sense on how to read them and their comfort level. I enjoy all breeds and personalities when it comes to dogs and will meet them wherever they are at to ensure they feel as comfortable as possible while you're away. As a pet parent who uses Rover, I know how important it is to know your pet is well taken care of while you're not there. I am also a volunteer dog walker at UPAWS and have learned a lot from the staff there on how to properly meet and interact with new dogs. I'm currently not working, so I have plenty of free time to devote to taking care of your pet(s)! I spend a lot of my free time volunteering with various local organizations. I have a cat in my home, so I wouldn't be able to care for pets at my house, but I would take quality care of pets in their own home. I would follow whatever routine they normally have to try to reduce the stress of their people being gone.

About: I can’t wait to meet your pet family! With 5 years of previous experience working in veterinary medicine and more than three decades of pet caretaking/ownership, I offer worry-free skilled and routine pet caretaking services in your home. I have a background in fear-free techniques that help me to understand and work with fearful and high-anxiety pets. I am currently employed at a veterinary referral/emergency hospital; my schedule is variable and allows me to pet sit around my shifts. *I carry a pet first aid kit at all times.* My clinical background as a veterinary assistant/receptionist includes animal handling and restraint, administering medications and injections (such as insulin and fluids), caring for hospitalized patients and providing treatments, assisting doctors with diagnostics, and educating/communicating with clients. My professional experience in both traditional and exotic veterinary practices translates to exceptional care for all species of companion animals. I am comfortable managing a wide range of medical conditions and administering medications, so you can feel confident about leaving your pet in compassionate, skillful hands. I was dubbed the “chihuahua whisperer” at work—a true badge of honor! As a dog-mom, I truly enjoy caring for animals. My pet family includes a special-needs tripod Boxer, Raegan, for whom I had a prosthetic leg designed, and a long-coated Chihuahua, Joie. My affinity for companion animals began early on. As a child, I would bring home stray dogs and cats, and I kept exotic pets including rabbits, hermit crabs, hamsters, mice, lizards, frogs, and fish. During high school, I received academic credit for interning at a veterinary clinic. As a Northern Michigan native, I had the opportunity to work with multiple sled dog teams, which proved to be very enlightening experiences! The most interesting animal-caretaking experience I have had is providing critical care to a newborn alpaca named Mittens and helping the farm owner tube-feed this special-needs baby while she was out of town (he was eventually able to stand on his own and nurse!). A major component of pet caretaking is communication. With a bachelor’s degree in scientific and technical communication from Michigan Tech, I have studied the art and science of communication. I am available to provide services in your home during the day or in the evening. Unfortunately, I am currently unable to accommodate requests for boarding in my home. Safety is paramount: I will ensure your pet's safety while caring for their needs. I also understand the level of trust required to allow a sitter into your home and provide utmost respect for your property and privacy. I would be happy to provide comprehensive companion animal care, including routine caretaking & providing companionship/giving cuddles, administering meds, exercise, and any other aspect of animal care for any species.

About: I have had all sorts of pets growing up my entire life. I have been responsible for taking care of dogs, cats, rabbits, snakes, turtles, and birds since before I can remember! I have never not had a pet in my home to tend to. I love animals more than anything in life and have a genuine passion for taking care of animals (: I currently work part time- mainly on the weekends so I am free most weekdays and am always flexible on the weekends! I have two dogs of my own, so I have experience gauging the specific time and needs of animals :) I have a dog and a crate trained pup of my own living on 4 acres of land for all sorts of animals to enjoy! I also have a lovely house cat and kitten who would love nothing more than to play with your fur babies, cat or dog :) Your animals will feel right at home with special companions to be accompanied by their entire stay! If they are not cat friendly, I have separation gates to accommodate :)

About: I’ve taken care of dogs and cats of every kind since I was 11. I’ve been trusted with walking, feeding, bathing, as well as medication administration by family and friends. I work as a night shift nurse so my schedule can be a bit different, hectic, and sparse at times, but I’m still able and very much willing to give your dog the care, love, and attention they need and deserve! I can easily crate your dog if needed. I always check fences or fence gates before letting a dog outside. If dropping in for a house visit, I like to make sure the area is safe and secure - making sure your pup doesn’t get into anything they shouldn’t, such as trash bins, food on the counter, etc.

About: I have had dogs my entire life, and love spending time with them. I would have a house full if I could! I have experience taking care of dogs from 8 weeks old to senior, and I have administered medication of many kinds. I am currently a stay at home mom of 4 (teens, tweens and a kindergarten age kiddo), so I am home most of the day. Some of my kids do participate in school sports and there are times where I am gone for a few hours here or there. Besides that, I’m always home. I currently live on a lake, tucked back about 5 miles from the highway. It’s a new construction, so while I do plan to eventually get a fence put up, right now I do not have a fenced yard. I do however have a tie out for potty breaks, and will go on daily walks. If requested, I will personally go outside with your pup during potty breaks. I also have two golden retrievers in our home that love to have fun, swim, and play. They are guaranteed to keep your pup busy. You need to be aware that I can only watch pups who tolerate kids. While my kids are very respectful of animals, I do still need confirmation they are okay with kids present in the home. They also will be crated in the event that I need to leave home for a short time.

About: Hi! I’ve grown up with dogs and love spending time with them—whether it’s going for walks, playing fetch, or just hanging out. I’m comfortable caring for dogs of all ages and sizes, and I have experience with senior pups and those with special needs, including administering medications and offering gentle support. Every dog is unique, and I’m here to make sure they feel safe, happy, and loved. Pet care fits naturally into my routine! I currently have open availability through May 19th, so I’m flexible and able to accommodate a wide range of schedules. After that, I’ll be working 40 hours a week but will still have two consistent days off, plus availability for morning, evening, and weekend care. I'm committed to making sure pets get the attention they need, even with a full schedule. Safety and trust are my top priorities when caring for pets. In a client’s home, I follow their routines closely to keep pets comfortable and reduce stress. I’m respectful of your space and always keep doors, gates, and feeding areas secure. I also keep you updated with messages and photos so you know your pet is in good hands.

About: I have grown up with no less than 5 dogs all my life, I also have just under 2 years of house / pet sitting experience! I am currently working part time, but am available Monday-Fridays and have weekend nights availability if needed! I can also arrange weekends morning availability . I respect both the owners and pets boundaries in their home, I do not offer boarding services. I also give constant updates via text messages to keep you updated on your pups day to day!

About: I love pets. I treat your pets like family. I have a very welcoming home. I love puppies, older dogs, dogs with special needs. It’s all good. I work part-time from home. I’m home during regular weekday hours and I don’t usually leave home for more than a few hours at a time. I love regular walks. I take great care to ensure that guests have a safe and secure space. I emphasize safety as priority number one. I only watch one or two dogs at a time.

About: I am a 30 year old college graduate and I have loved dogs my entire life. I was never allowed to have a dog growing up so I always asked my friends if I could hang out with their dogs whenever possible. I just honestly really love dogs and want to be able to hang out with as many as possible throughout my life. I interned at a Veterinary Clinic during my senior year of high school so I have become familiar with appropriate ways to administer medications, trim toe nails, and calm anxious pups. My availability is fairly flexible and I will always make time to take care of a pooch that needs it while their pet parents are away for whatever reason they have. My schedule can sometimes be unpredictable but I always do my best to communicate that with possible clients. Open communication is key for me to help you. If I’m in your home, I treat it like my own. I was raised to respect everyone and their belongings. Your pet’s safety is always my number one priority.

“Cathy has done an excellent job watching our Cats. Compaired to other cat sitters she really cares for the cats. Spending time petting and playing with them. We have a cat with special food and she makes sure he gets the right food. She goes above and beyond checking in and giving updates. She watches over your house, cleaning up messes from animals. If she drives by doing errands she is checking making sure everything is good.”

“I have an 8 year old Papillion who turned my home and life into a "war zone". She had severe separation anxiety as well has behavior issues like getting into the garbage the second I would turn my back. Strapped into her car seat she would jump around (stepping on various controls in my center "control" section and screaming like a banshee. I dreaded taking her anywhere, and if I left the house, I knew I would come home to her in the crate, covered in poo. I tried to give her the whole kitchen, she chewed through a baby gate and a bookcase to get to the living room. Then Jen started to work with her. Once a new behavior "clicked" with the training, Jen then taught me so that I could reinforce the wanted behaviors. (I also purposely stayed at home without leaving her for 3 weeks. Fast forward a few months and I can actually leave my home for a few hours as well as drive in relative peace! Then it culminated with me needing to be out of the country and trouble finding someone who could take my dog. So I brought her. She was SO perfect, like an animal in a move or tv show: all the walking through multiple airports for hours, sitting at gates forever, even being in a carrier under the seat in front of me for multiple long flights. Hundreds of people complimented her good behavior, especially at a very overcrowded gate! Plus she was good as gold while we were gone as well. I actually can enjoy and love my dog again, all thank to Jen's amazing gift.”

Amelia F.

“Amelia was great with my dog, Mila! She was super accommodating when there were any kind of last minute changes and she was always very quick to respond to any messages I sent. Will absolutely be booking with her in the future!”

Myla P.
“Myla is a responsible and very kind pet caregiver. Along with loving your furbabies, she will collect the mail, mow the lawn, water the plants etc. Whether you are leaving for 2 weeks or need someone to walk the dog while you are at work, Myla will keep your pets happy and healthy.”

Kendra S.
“I have a reactive (due to trauma) pit bull who makes a terrible first impression to the point where people cross the street when we are walking. She is so scared of new situations and other dogs, she becomes highly reactive to the point where most people avoid her. She has separation anxiety and takes medication to help, but new people, dogs, and environments are just tough for this dog. I can't trust just anyone to care for her or walk her. Kendra's energy made an immediate positive impact on my dog and I would trust her with any dog or cat. She's compassionate, thoughtful, and detail oriented. You couldn't wish for a better pet care professional than Kendra. My only advice is get on her calendar now because it fills up quickly! Kendra has cared for pets her whole life and brings years of experience and knowledge. She's my number 1 go-to for my dog.”

Veronica J.

“Communicated really well and was available on short notice. So very helpful, would call on her again when we need her!”
